anyway to disable the sound effects in this mod? --Lou-SaydusHow dare you put that damned dirty thing on me! 19:09, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

Found out :P there is a settings.ini that comes with it, just change this line
UT99_Sound_FX=1 ;Enable Unreal Tournament '99 Sound Effects
to
UT99_Sound_FX=0 ;Enable Unreal Tournament '99 Sound Effects
--Lou-SaydusHow dare you put that damned dirty thing on me! 19:19, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

is this a safe program?74.47.22.98 16:23, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

There have been no complaints from any of the users running it. It appears to be safe, but as with any 3rd party apps, use at your own risk.--Pyron Sy 17:23, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
Thank you. I just wanted to make sure u know.74.47.22.98 04:56, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

Along-side Texmod?[edit]

I was just wondering if this mod could be run with Texmod. If it can, I'll downlaod it, as thats the only thing preventing me from doing so. BTW, good work on the mod.

Yes it does work. I've used both together always. I learned about them at the same time. Mango 20:12, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

ksmod gone[edit]

Firstly, the link to ksmod now throws up a "404 - not found". Secondly - isn't the notice saying that "To run these mods, you will need to use Texmod" totally pointless on this particular page? --snogratUser Snograt signature.png 08:20, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

LOD, Outdoor textures & Cameras[edit]

I was wondering if you had any plans to make this work with outdoor textures and LOD. I've noticed that sometimes the game doesn't switch from LOD maps to actually rendering objects until you get really close...and it's not anything to do with my PC being too slow to begin the actual rendering (Q6600 2.4ghz@3.8ghz, dual 9800gtx, 8GB RAM) so I think it's just a glitch in the engine. If you could set that stuff up I would be thrilled. Thanks!

Game Update says Hi[edit]

This pains my eyes. - Ryuu Togo >:D talk 19:36, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

*makes rude gestures at the update* Welp, this was fantastic until the update. R.I.P. playable textures. ... Now to shut off the game until a reasonable method of using high res textures back comes around. Lillium 12:25, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
"..however, it is still possible to injecty it manually" - anyone care to explain how???? 84.56.131.186 18:03, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
Either find a TexMod version of this, or hack your game file (ask the google gods, they can tell you much on that). Should mention the second option violates the ToS crap. Lillium 18:18, 10 January 2010 (UTC)
just to inform you, it works again =D haven't figured out how to use ksmod AND texmod yet tough =/ --92.107.179.181 05:02, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
PLS Kunz, make it like before, without this ksmod.exe! we alle want to use ksmod and texmod, but this isnt possible so far if you start gw over the ksmod.exe --User MysticGohan paw sig.pngMystic Gohan 10:02, 23 April 2010 (UTC)

so dose this work[edit]

so dose this work if so can someone explain to me how it dose? or what i have to do to get it to work?- User Zesbeer sig.png Zesbeer 23:58, 24 April 2010 (UTC)

Yes, this mod works. simply put the "Settings.ini", "ksmod.dll", and "ksmod.exe" into your root Guild Wars folder (usually C:/Program Files/Guild Wars/). Once they are there, simply run the .exe instead of Gw.exe and everything should work. If you wish to disable to UT sounds, open up the Settings.ini file and set the UT99_Sound_FX line to 0.
All this info is also in the Readme in the zip.

So my Symantec went off[edit]

and that would be fine, but me being my paranoid self, i check the location. why would it be in the restore section of my comp.... || DarkMugen 13:54, 10 March 2011 (UTC)

Are you asking why Symantec found a threat in the restore section, or why Windows Restore archived a copy of your file to be restored later if required which is the very definition of its' job. The former has nothing to do with the wiki, the latter is just how it works. Ghosst I Make Dead PeopleTalk

GwDressUp ...[edit]

Anyone knows where I can download this from ? I've tried everywhere, downloaded a 121 KB application, which gave 0xc0000135 error ... MagnumUser_talk:Magnum 06:28, 25 September 2011 (UTC)

That links to the correct program, but if you want to make sure, check out http://argos-soft.net/GwDressUp/ and download it from there yourself. The error you're receiving might be from using it wrong. Make sure you've booted up and logged into GW before running the program. ~FarloUser Farlo Triad.pngTalk 20:51, 25 September 2011 (UTC)
I did download it from there and started it after logging. It did't work. MagnumUser_talk:Magnum 20:00, 26 September 2011 (UTC)
Hmm, that is odd. Perhaps an anti-virus program or something like that is getting in the way? Other than that I can't really think of anything that'd break it. If adding that program to your exceptions doesn't work, then I'd suggest asking about it on the ArgosSoft forums. ~FarloUser Farlo Triad.pngTalk 01:54, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
Nvm, it seems I can't post anything there. MagnumUser_talk:Magnum 18:09, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, I only checked the forums after I posted that link, it seems to be a heavy victim of vandalism. ~FarloUser Farlo Triad.pngTalk 04:16, 28 September 2011 (UTC)
Ok, ty for attention though. Respectfully MagnumUser_talk:Magnum 19:17, 28 September 2011 (UTC)

Images[edit]

All of these images are incorrectly named, have the texmod prefix and are tagged with the texmod category even though they are 3rd party programmes. File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.jpg Chieftain Alex 09:57, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
