If you use Great Dwarf Weapon, and when it hits it causes a knockdown, will this apply bleeding, or does the target have to be knocked down when the arrow hits? Because GDW has a 20-40% chance to KD, and if you use Hunter's Shot while you have GDW on you, and it causes a knockdown, it should cause bleeding too, right? 70.126.107.48 23:26, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

This update is inconsistent to what you have it listed in game. You removed the 1 sec cast time, plus changed recharge to 10sec. What are you thinking? Is this supposed to be a weaker version of screaming shot now or are you trying to remove true turret builds?
Well now it's official, you can just remove this skill cause there's no point in it's use anymore.

Wrong idea bub, that's for condition builds. I'm referring to spike with 1 sec skills and marksmans wager. Anyway if their goal is to kill that, they sure as hell didn't work hard enough.

Barbed really needs a buff at this point when you compare hunters/screaming to it. take out the -40 armor and add dmg. Maybe +6?

- -40 armor doesn't really mean this or that. With Barbed Arrows you're 1) not going to need either Hunter's Shot or Screaming Shot and 2) you'll be able to apply bleeding more repeatedly and use skills which work with mass bleeding, like Lacerate and Ulcerous Lungs. Seriously why the hell did they change it like this? Didn't they remember to pay attention to the past updates they included last time? Now it's worse compared to what it was like new.

I know. This skill was originally supposed to be an addition to your other attack skills and bleeding was only a side benefit you gained if you met the needed action. So what do we have now for a replacement? sundering/penetrating and powershot cost too much, needle is a joke and quick shot just has to be a ******* elite! C'mon give us a friggin viarable alternative here!!
- Sorry, you're a ranger. Anet has decided rangers are only allowed to deal damage via conditions now, apparently, if you want to be a ranged damage dealer, you're supposed to play a different class it seems:-/

THIS IS A DIRECT NERF TO RANGER AS A WHOLE. HUNTER SHOT WAS A FILLER SHOT PUT ON EVERY BAR FOR IT'S 1 SEC ACTIVATION, BONUS DMG AND REASONABLE RECHARGE. - Rangers are only overpowered because of the scythe gimmicks, RaO, and spear gimmicks. And maybe interrupt spam. Other than spamming interrupts mindlessly without penalty or limit, bows are pretty much complete garbage. Lowest attack rate and worst DPS in game, and they really have no non-elite damage skills. Spears outdamage bows in every way and you can use a shield with them.

- First thing it's time to learn is that big ranged damage is broken. Bows aren't supposed to DPS like champs because it would be broken, and has been every time rangers had access to it.
- As it stands now, rangers are a jesus profession. Whether it's solo-wiping teams (with monks) with Poison Arrow, throwing melee-like damage on spikes from across the map with Burning Arrow, blowing up everything you look at with Expert Focus and Savage Shot, or shutting down 2 casters with Magebane Shot, rangers hardly have the short end of the stick.
- Okay, boo hoo, you can't blow people up with Hunter's Shot anymore. If you want to blow people up, run a different build – rangers can still do it.

Concise description[edit]
Balanced should be normal activation to discourage spikes 2x the worst condition removal in the game "Hunter's Shot causes bleeding for 3...21...24 seconds which is promptly removed. You autoattack for the rest of the game since all ranger non-elite bow attacks are elite, inviable, or have 10 second recharge. (Attribute: If I want to play the game with one attack button, Runescape is way better)"

Unlike what other non-ranger supporters say, we do want the 1 sec activation. Don't let our opponents have any more leeway then they've been given already.

A lower recharge would instantly make this a effective yet balanced skill. (Say 3 or 4)

- Bow Attack. . If this attack hits a foe that is moving or knocked down, that foe begins Bleeding for 3...21...25 seconds and you strike for +3...13...15 damage.
