Part of Intermediate Dialogue[edit]

Lei Jing:From what i know, the drakes in the restaurant were pretty domesticated, so we probably won't have to kill them.

Lei Jing: I hope word hasn't gotten out about these creatures running around; it certainly would throw the area into panic. We'll have to find them before that happens.

(On a side note, didn't a henchy in ha/gh say something about burning down her restaurant with drakes? maybe that's trivia...)

I would add it myself but im a wiki nub srry...Yae Mozs 02:04, 8 July 2011 (UTC)

Added the dialogue. Pls check it for spelling errors and typos. Another thing: I added it after I did the quest (duh) and am not entirely sure of the correct timeline (i.e. after or before drake number X). But that's easily corrected :) Helgan Iceglow 09:11, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
The traveling merchant he got that device from sounds like Nicholas the Traveler. Altough still speculation on my part. Damysticreaper 11:19, 8 July 2011 (UTC)

Maybe some trivia...[edit]

I'm thinking that the quest name may just possibly be a reference to the Doors song of the same title. Yeah? No? ~ A R A ~ 04:53, 8 July 2011 (UTC)

Only if the next quest is called: Relight My Fire Helgan Iceglow 09:14, 8 July 2011 (UTC)

Next quest[edit]

Are there any requirements for doing the second quest ? He doesn't offer it even after completion of Light my Fire. 213.166.192.173 08:46, 8 July 2011 (UTC)

Lei's quests require a certain quest in Zei's chain to be done. I think it actually may be bugged in it showing... Konig/talk 10:17, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
Is there anybody really seeing the second quest? --Tera 13:53, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
I have not seen it yet. --Moto Saxon 13:54, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
done all quests from Zei (yes all 17), and it shows neither the 2nd, nor the first in HM quests... (KILL MementoMori 14:03, 8 July 2011 (UTC))
I do believe there's more quests after the 17 listed on the walkthrough. Meet with the person you're told to meet. I haven't quite gotten there yet, my friend is AFK. :P - Infinite - talk 16:23, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
This quests HM version is unlocked after Cleansing Bukdek Byway (Hard mode), but I never got the ominous Kappa quest to show up. I wonder where Konig got the name from. --Tera 19:12, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
I did all HM quests that lead up to the HM version of this quest (and completed it) and that also didn't unlock the next NM quest. Is it just bugged then? - Infinite - talk 20:13, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
I suppose they just fixed it with the update, can't check right now. --Tera 21:20, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
Correct, fixed. They weren't introduced yet. - Infinite - talk 21:55, 8 July 2011 (UTC)

Reward[edit]

Weird that you get an Imperial Commendation for this instead of a Ministerial Commendation. 92.204.32.217 14:41, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
Not really, since he's an Imperial Guard rather than someone from the Ministry of Purity. I'll guess that a future update will see another collector for these items, like the guy who takes the Ministry ones. -- Hong 15:02, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
Let's hope. So the big mass of obscure side quests in factions gives a proper reward, don't really wanna trade these in for hunters ale. -Cursed Angel 熱 17:26, 8 July 2011 (UTC)
It's not so much weird as almost insulting. No one covets Imperial Coms nor what you can get for them, so why offer it as part of Beyond? I would just have soon have received 2k cash instead. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 01:36, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
I view it as a recycling of items to allow the use of commedity items - rather than repeats of presents with only minor differences and complete randomness. Personally, I like the addition/return of Imperial COmmendation. Not only that, but there's only 9 obtainable per characters atm - 6 quests out of 40. It's not really that "hurtful" - and for every five, you get 1k, if there's absolutely nothing you want from the traders. Konig/talk 01:40, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
It's not at all hurtful: a reward is a reward. It's that it's readily available to new toons. Since characters must be veterans to take this quest, I was hoping to see something else. I wouldn't have minded recycling some other present; this particular choice seems uninspired. (I am, however, glad that at least one thoughtful player is glad to see them as part of WoC.) — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 01:54, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
I'd say the opposite - I feel that these are inspired and help portray a part of the story. During these times, the Imperial Guard are not being as helpful as they once were (during Factions) or in comparison to the Ministry of Purity. They give fewer quests and in turn they also give "lesser" rewards (lesser as in not unique). They can still be helpful to players through giving cheap commodities, and they help further the story, so I'd say that they're more inspired than something like a Royal Gift or Sack of Random Junk. Konig/talk 03:55, 9 July 2011 (UTC)

No HM version[edit]

I did all of Lei Jeng's quests in normal mode. Now there are no quests, doesn't offer me hard mode versions.Ramei Arashi 06:27, 9 July 2011 (UTC)

I just completed the HM version so there is one.. Maybe there's additional requirements. Waar Kijk Je NaarUser Waar Kijk Je Naar sig.png 06:47, 9 July 2011 (UTC)
You have to do Bukdek Byway's HM quest and the NM version to get the HM version of Light My Fire. Konig/talk 07:52, 9 July 2011 (UTC)

Not only one path[edit]

The guide in the article doesn't fit everyone, none of my dragons appeared on the spots described in the article. You are forced to follow the heat gauge. 84.49.104.248 14:00, 10 July 2011 (UTC)

My NM run followed the NM ones. My HM doesn't seem to, drakes 1 and 2 at least aren't in the same place. Possibly, locations are fixed, but there are several sets of locations possible.95.176.186.78 16:16, 10 July 2011 (UTC)

As the second IP said - the places are fixed, but HM has different locations. Konig/talk 20:22, 10 July 2011 (UTC)
No path at all if nothing happens when the heat gauge is at zero and no drakes spawn anywhere on the map. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 147.147.136.38 (talk) at 01:59, 8 February 2019 (UTC).

Consider Saving Quest until Free Birds[edit]

I still had this quest when I was doing the Free Birds quest for the main WoC questline. 4 Elementalist Drakes + 2 Auto Rezzing warriors and a few other Anchu makes it easy to steamroll this area. :P Druakian 21:34, 2 October 2011 (UTC)

January 5th update[edit]

Made the Missing Fire Drakes very powerful. By the time you have 3, the gangs' melee melts like butter. ~FarloUser Farlo Triad.pngTalk 09:45, 16 January 2012 (UTC)

So, you should only VQ the area (during WoC) with this active, eh? – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 23:58, 16 January 2012 (UTC)
