Shouldnt this be listed on the main page, or at least redirect to this? The Elite Skills List section. EatMoreCarbs 17:58, 8 February 2007 (PST)

Personally I think the main page saying "Elite Skills" should point to the Elite skill page. And that point to this list. May be there should be a short to the list to? But it makes more sense IMHO to lead the user to a definition page, and then a list... rather than the other way around. --Vladtheemailer 21:16, 8 February 2007 (PST)

It seems like breaking it down into campaigns would probably be more manageable.--Vladtheemailer 21:18, 8 February 2007 (PST)

Basically every skill needs to be uppercased (e.g. Burning Arrow instead of Burning arrow) so the links work. Granted the individual skill pages are getting created so most of them don't exist... -- Dawn

I am thinking that we need to take the headings out of each area listed. The Content section is good for getting to each campaign, or even each main area... but having each zone as a heading is making it HUGE. --RabiesTurtle 12:42, 11 February 2007 (PST)

Why "Ruins of Ascalon" instead of simply "Ascalon"? — Rapta (talk|contribs) 12:53, 11 February 2007 (PST)

If I remember right, I was exploring ways to lessen the spoiler effect of naming things "Pre-searing Ascalon" and "Post-searing Ascalon" (and if you just name everything Ascalon, a pre-searing character might get confused). I believe I found "Ruins of Ascalon" as the name the game gives the region, somewhere. --Rezyk 20:43, 15 February 2007 (PST)
The manual mentions the Searing several times and describes it in considerable detail. The in-game cinematics at the beginning and end of pre-Searing also imply that the whole thing was a flashback. -- Gordon Ecker 21:28, 15 February 2007 (PST)
It is also strange to be worrying about spoiler warnings when one is considering that this is for elite skills. A player who has not gotten past Pre and is concerned with not seeing spoilers will most likely not see elite skills mentioned except here on the wiki, especially on the main page. Also, there is the above point. Don't you dare tell me this is a year late, because it is a valid point. Valid. Chaiyo Kaldor 04:05, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Profession colors[edit]

For consistency accross all articles, references to profession colors should use the templates listed at Guild Wars Wiki:Formatting/Profession colors. That way the colors used can be consistent, plus if the community ever agrees to change the colors, it can be done to the template which will automatically update all articles. --Barek 12:59, 11 February 2007 (PST)

I was trying to mess with that, but I wasn't able to get it to work right for me. I tested it by doing a preview edit of that page you linked, substituting the template for where the color was done in the cells... but broke it. Guess I am not perfectly knowledgeable about how to use it. --RabiesTurtle 14:57, 11 February 2007 (PST)

Skill Icon[edit]

What about using Skill icon view on this page? --Murdoc File:Murdocav.png 15:10, 1 March 2007 (EST)

I'd be okay with it as long as it's got the icon and name (for exmaple using template:skill icon, like list of elite skills by campaign). If it's just the icon then it won't be searchable. -- Gordon Ecker 05:20, 11 March 2007 (EDT)

What do the arrows mean? Why are some red and blue? I couldn't figure out which was supposed to be which; when I saw them, I thought "OH! The red arrows must mean 'can be captured here during a quest'" but I don't think I'm right (although I'd like to suggest we do something like that now). Color coding "on a quest" and "random spawn may not have this skill" would be really nice.Miss Innocent 17:33, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

The different coloured arrows just indicate our shortcomings. The blue arrows link to the boss(es) that that particular skill may be capped from. The red arrows, er, link to non-existing pages where we haven't got round to chronicling a particular boss yet :D --SnogratUser Snograt signature.png 19:33, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

Wither[edit]

You can also cap this skill during the Defend North Kryta Province quest. Can someone add this to the list? The boss listed on that quest's page also doesn't specify that Wither can be captured from him, though it does appear on the boss's page. --Bo staves are badass. Discuss. 06:44, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

Done. --Wyn's Talk page Wyn/talk 07:06, 3 January 2009 (UTC)
