Dungeon Map Icon[edit]
The little picture of a cave does not mark the location of this dungeon on my map. Anyone else getting this? --Zathic 21:40, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
Once you go inside, you have it on the map. Morgoth Bauglyr 00:02, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
- Never mind, it appeared once I got the quest "Watch it Jiggle."--Zathic 15:39, 9 September 2007 (UTC)
chest?[edit]
does this dungeon have a chest at the end? --Vhalantru 23:25, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
- Yes. Hyper Cutter 23:38, 18 September 2007 (UTC)
- Maybe it would be useful to add this information to the main article? :P :: 84.85.197.187 17:27, 11 March 2009 (UTC)
dwarven rep?[edit]
wtf? why does this give dwarven reputation for completion and not ebon vangaurd reputation... I don't want dwarf rank...--71.202.155.201 23:42, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
- That's how all dungeons work at the moment. People (including me) agree with you, don't worry. Who knows whether or not ANet will change the bounties, or if that's even high on their priority list. But on the other hand, if all the dungeons gave points according to their general area, Dwarf point farming would be incredibly restricted, and therefore incredibly dull/lacking variety. -- Mafaraxas 01:41, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
- Meh, i only want asura rep and norn rep anyway really. SPECTACLES FTW!--Raph Come get ur Ramen Noodles! 22:06, 14 December 2007 (UTC)
- You can never go past Drunken Master!! It's an excuse to drink constantly in PvE. Veldrik 00:45, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
- I'm glad that someone has reported this already, lol. This dungeon is in Charr Homelands, which means Ebon Vanguard. But we get Dwarven reward points instead. Please fix it ANet, don't be lazy :D. --Inflame 15:08, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
- You can never go past Drunken Master!! It's an excuse to drink constantly in PvE. Veldrik 00:45, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
- The dungeons in Eye of the North are all Dwarven areas as they are underground. RandwulfX 19:53, 2 December 2009 (UTC)

?[edit]
I did not know dungeons could have sexual preferences. This is a startling discovery. Thank you very much for your insight. >.> Essana 21:22, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
Difficulty[edit]
How difficult is this dungeon to H/H? I wish difficulties were posted on the dungeon pages XD PizzaboyFaul 08:07, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- In Normal Mode, it's not bad at all. In Hard Mode, bring some consumables and an Ursan, and you'll be fine. -AyaStowar
- Maybe it was because it was my first time, but I tried H/Hing it (no special builds though) and the Prismatic Oozes at the end kept DESTROYING US. Eldin 19:54, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
Is this dungeon farmable with a 600/smite?
I suppose we really can't tell you that. Though like you, we are players, we do not entirely focus on farming and builds and things like that. But heres my best guess: I dont know....:P...not much of a monk--Raph Talky 00:44, 5 March 2008 (UTC)
- I would hazard a yes, but you're probably going to have something like 30-45% DP by the time you get to the prissys. -AyaStowar
I had an ally run it HM with Mo/Me, enchants and a bonder hero - we got an elite Ele tome at Gloop. Pain inverter takes down the prismatics fast if you bring extra bodies i.e. Ebon sin, Asura summons, Pet etc. The only time he died was with the stormcloud incubi, may be spell-shield can help with those.Farlong 02:19, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
- This dungeon is 600/smite able, Pain Inverter helps agaisnt End monsters as you said, and the only time Incubi gave me a problem was on the way to the boss key, luckily they DO fight with the nearby Ooze, so just pre cast PS spirit bond SB and SoA and run through to the ooze, you will die but your smiter can res you after, then rebond and keep going Slaphead Monk 12:49, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
- You can avoid all the Incubi in the dungeon running 600/Smite. 66.202.1.169 22:09, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
not everyone can pay for one, besides a 1level dungeon aint worth a smite...--IsaaC The Sinful 17:26, 26 September 2009 (UTC)

Relevant Quest[edit]
Need to add some words about Watch it Jiggle ,and that u cant go far in the dungeon without it in ur quest log.
- "Required quest: Watch it Jiggle" in the infobox isn't enough? Paddymew 20:06, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
- U r right,I looked at the body of the article and missed the infobox.::
alright we all kno Watch it Jiggle is req. for quest, however i want 2 kno does 1prsn have 2 have it or does everybody cuz i wanna 600/smite this for $ Fallen Scythe 01:50, 21 February 2010 (UTC)
- Wow. Just wow. I want to know if you wrote that on your own, or did your retarded cousin help out? the_decline 05:25, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
I don't think it is emphasised enough...[edit]
Just how much this dungeon kicks you in the arse on hard mode. Tong2 22:55, 19 March 2010 (UTC)
Bring Shelter and Pain Inverter... that makes magic ^ ^ 178.164.152.108 12:04, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
got thru the whole dungeon with ease not a single death, got to the 3 M'er F'ers at the end and cant do anything ive got pain inverter shelter, crazy amount of damage and healing but their AoE just deletes my team (this is in HM)
Edge of Extinction[edit]
Does this work when ooze split? May be good for boss foes.
Afaik no, they don't die they disappear and 2 others appear. --The Holy Dragons 05:49, 3 October 2011 (UTC)- EoE is very effective because of Ooze Division. Especially at the end when the three Prismatic Oozes start splitting apart. A good spike can blow them all up. Sardaukar 06:10, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
- I should've bothered checking the skill itself before judging. --The Holy Dragons 06:19, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
locked door[edit]
Anyone else has experienced blocked door in the front of the first preassure plate (according to map)? I have come there twice in HM and always shut with no possibility to open. What do I miss on my character? [I did this dungeon many times, now i go with heroes and such a thing happened...] pls help with advice.--Calixos 20:59, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
- Do you have Watch It Jiggle in your quest log? Most of the dungeons have at least one door that is locked if one/more members of a party are missing the relevant quest...and sometimes, as in Ooze Pit, it's a door that can be opened during the quest. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 21:19, 4 December 2011 (UTC)
- Bingo! Such a childish mistake :-) Of course thats it. Thx!
- It's easy enough to make. (Can't tell you how many times I have been to Oola's lab and forgotten to talk to the correct NPC in Rata beforehand...and it's not obvious until you finish half of L1). – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 16:12, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
Random trivia[edit]
This might be a bit of a long shot, but is the 13/31 oozes at Gloop a reference to the song Pretty Fly (For a White Guy) by The Offspring? The song has the line "He asked for a thirteen(the number of oozes) but they drew a thirty-one(the pattern the oozes make). Rumpo Rampaal 14:47, 29 December 2011 (UTC)
- I don't know if it was intended or not, but there are a lot of hidden references to songs in the game. Of course, it could be a reference to John 13:31 (now the son of man has been glorified) or Mark 13:31 (Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away). – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 18:57, 29 December 2011 (UTC)
- Based on other trivia entries and what I've seen of Anet generally my money would be on an Offspring reference over a bible quote. 109.145.208.77 19:43, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
- Which is why there is a note in the trivia section comparing the placement of the oozes to the song. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 20:11, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
Old discussion (of course) but this dungeon feels inspired by the original Legend of Zelda to me. Jellies that split, doors that open with a switch, and an arrow pointing to something important. Lord Flynt (talk) 19:15, 22 June 2022 (UTC)
Missing requirement?[edit]
Can someone please the following to the main page? "The quest Watch it Jiggle from Seer Fiercereign (outside of Doomlore Shrine next to the devourer) is necessary to unlock the first door." There is NO reason someone should have to scour the talk page for extremely pertinent info on how the dungeon actually works. I had to search here and wikia to find it. Very disorganized. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 89.100.14.68 (talk • contribs) at 21:34, 30 January 2012 (UTC).
- Not sure what you mean about having to 'scour the talk page', it's in the info box under 'required quest' same as on any other dungeon page. 109.145.208.77 19:43, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
- FYI: Use Guild Wiki's new address. The Wikia site is no longer reliably maintained (the primary contributors decided to leave Wikia, but that company refused to allow the site to move; this created a situation in which Wikia's version is increasingly out-of-date) – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 20:15, 15 February 2012 (UTC)
Tips[edit]
- When encountering large groups, aim to stop the Earthbounds first. Ward against elements will also help.
- Someone NEEDS to have "Can't touch this!" to prevent major damage from ooze explosion.
- Make sure you have Watch it Jiggle before you begin this dungeon!
- The first wide open room has two rolling boulders. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 216.58.93.169 (talk) at 20:17, 24 February 2019 (UTC).
