Page Layout[edit]

The page looks cluttered so I double spaced the list of mods, which I feel separates the mods out more clearly. Gohan2091 User Gohan2091TeenGohan1.png

Trimmed Capes[edit]

This section needs to be organized A LOT. ~Farlo Talk 21:12, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

Yes it does. Any ideas?--Pyron Sy 21:15, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
I would say delete the entire thing. I doubt anyone has even downloaded these, and that last section is all for him, so those are useless for the community.~Farlo Talk 21:36, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

Temple of Balthazar Mod[edit]

Could you please upload a screenshot, I doubt many people will even try the mod if they don't know what to expect. Also, could you try to shorten the description? Perhaps make a page for the mod which lists the exact changes, and link to that after your name in the "Creator" line. Very nice mod though, may I inquire as to how you made the new textures? :P ~Farlo Talk 10:13, 25 May 2009 (UTC)

Hi, they should know what to expect because my description states briefly what you will find. I will however include screenshots within the next day and maybe work on a few more textures. I have since re-uploaded the file in zip format. It is exactly the same but smaller in size (because pictures have been converted from bitmaps to high quality jpegs). Textures were found on the Internet, and pasted over existing textures with a few edits. Unfortunely the original textures are very small in dimension so I can't get no where near the detail I would like.Gohan2091 User Gohan2091TeenGohan1.png
You might want to check that zip file. I downloaded it to test, and it came up as a corrupted archive. If file size is an issue, I recommend going with .dds format files. They aren't lossy like jpegs, but are more manageable a size than bitmaps. That's what I used for the cartography mods. It crammed 130 or so files into 6.5mb.--Pyron Sy 00:48, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
Please note, zips aren't allowed for the mods on these pages (As stated at the top of all the pages). You can only link to the TPF file. Also, please reupload your sample pictures onto the wiki using the format provided at the top. ~Farlo Talk 02:42, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
Since the description of the mod couldn't be added to this page because it was too long, I thought I would include a descriptive text file along with the mod in a zip folder. The reason the zip is corrupt for you is because you're using a zip program that doesn't support WinZip's "best optimisaton" compression method (I should have used legacy mode). Anyway, zip has been removed link changed to tpf file and links to pictures changed too. About .dds format, the current version of Photoshop I use does not support such file type. I use the 64bit version of Adobe Photoshop CS4 and will not install an alternative program just to use the .dds format. Even if I could use .dds format, I would still choose to use jpeg, I am not saving using a crude program like MSPaint, where the image will certainly lose a lot of quality. The files are saved under Photoshop as quality 10 jpegs (highest quality is 12). When comparing textures between these jpegs and the bitmap files, I see no difference even zoomed in to 400%. I have to zoom in well over 500% before I notice a few pixels have changed. Gohan2091 User Gohan2091TeenGohan1.png
Dds support isn't native to photoshop. You'll need to install the dds plugin from Nvidia in order to use dds files. If you're interested, information and download links can be found [here]. As with everything, though, use what you feel most comfortable with. I look forward to seeing more projects from you in the future. There are too few modders out there these days.--Pyron Sy 18:19, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
Perhaps I didn't make myself clear but the dds plugin does not work with the 64bit version of Photoshop CS4, I have tried many times to get it working in the past. Thanks, perhaps I will make further projects in the near future and of course, I will share with all of you! Gohan2091 User Gohan2091TeenGohan1.png

Cape Trims[edit]

Removed cape trims because it is used for only 1 person. -unsigned --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:87.194.84.226 (talk).

Well of course it's only used for one person - this is TexMod, which alters client-side info only. Everything on this page is for "only one person" --snogratUser Snograt signature.png 12:05, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
Was it you that added the note: Note: Doesn't seem to work, tried several times... lost a couple of platinum... try at own risk. (different IP, but you never know)? If so, then you've got totally the wrong idea of how TexMod works. --snogratUser Snograt signature.png 12:13, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
I meant 1 person as in those cape trims only work for the person who uploaded them. I tried them, and they don't work for my cape. -unsigned --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:87.194.84.226 (talk).
Ah, I think I see what you mean. It certainly shouldn't work that way, to my mind. The mod replaces the "trim" texture, regardless of which cape you use. I'd have to examine cape trim textures to understand the situation exactly though - if different capes have different trim textures altogether, then I'd assume you're right. --snogratUser Snograt signature.png 14:01, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
But, er, you might want to look at GWW:1RV - I can't change the bugger back either way now... --snogratUser Snograt signature.png 14:02, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
Someone keeps putting it back up. I've tried time and time again, but these mods simply do not work. -unsigned --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:87.194.84.226 (talk).
Like I said on my talk page. There is no reason to remove these mods. Keep them for referencial reasons. Also they contain enough data to rework the mods to work on your own cape. --User Karasu sig.png Karasu (talk) 13:12, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
no, it doesn't. If you want it to, then just upload the .bmp files of these guilds' capes. -unsigned --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:87.194.84.226 (talk).
That data will be useless for other mod makers until someone makes a program to extract it from tpf files. -- User Gordon Ecker sig.png Gordon Ecker (talk) 09:21, 2 July 2009 (UTC)
I've got all files I need - but my tools are on another pc. I'll try to do that asap when I'm there. --User Karasu sig.png Karasu (talk) 09:36, 2 July 2009 (UTC)

Dead links and outdated mods[edit]

Some of the mods should probably be removed from the list or archived somewhere, if not updated. We haven't had the Nightfall login screen for a few years now, so a mod affecting it is no longer usable. The lush green Shiverpeak mod interested me, but the page it was hosted at is gone. The creator has probably abandoned the project, but if someone has old downloads and can upload them to a new host it would be much appreciated. Any other thoughts on this? New Login/Character Select Project[edit]

New Project

I've decided (mostly out of boredom) to start a new project. Changing the mountain-top area you login to into something more interesting. My first tests/ideas come from a panorama I found of a ridge in a forest. It looks pretty good and makes the area more bright by itself. Here's a very very bad sample, which is why I'm posting here. Anyone tat is skilled with photoshop, I require your talents. Even if you're not good at Texmod, I can give you the files and such. Please respond with ideas or offers of help :O ~Farlo Talk 05:57, 1 September 2010 (UTC)

Update Link "No Glitter from items/bundles on the ground"[edit]

https://www.mediafire.com/file/6b8h6x818mc1lhb/NoGlitterByHas.tpf/file Original file was downloaded by me around 2010. Don't know if it is the same author, but should do the same.--37.201.228.142 00:22, 21 May 2020 (UTC)
