Aww, you can no longer trap the Grenchies by the lighthouse in LA. They respawn immediately after destroying the remotely placed present. --Thervold 08:59, 1 January 2008 (UTC)

Kamadan[edit]

Picking up presents in Kamadan and joining the Winter Dwarf in his cage is quite some fun. Grentches won't be able to reach you. Sometimes, they will stay in front of the cage and stop exploding and respawning. 138.246.7.121 15:32, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

Yup. I posted that on the talk page. Right now, I'm in Kamadan, and they've glitched-they're running in front of the cage while I'm outside with the present. d10 --User Gah My Name Cant Fi Vow of Silence Gah Sig.jpg Gah 01:25, 3 January 2009 (UTC)

Haxx[edit]

To get the Grentches stuck in Kamadan so you can run presents for free, you need to:

  1. Bring a present into the cage.
  2. Quickly go to the back wall so the Grentches can't get you. You need to stand close to the pole and against the wall.
  3. Wait until the Grentches stop exploding and are just running back and forth against the cage wall.

Now, either do this:

  1. Drop the present at the edge of the cell, and tell someone outside to pick it up.
  2. Leave the district, and then return.

Or this:

  1. Put the present against the wall, leave the district, return, and pick it up from outside.

The Grentches are now stuck against the wall of the cell.

No longer possible. The Drawf cage no longer stops you from entering, you can move freely through it. --Barionic Hawkeye User talk:Hawkeye8880 17:00, 21 December 2009 (UTC)

Impossible[edit]

  • it is impossible to outrun the grentches. They change the speed they run depending on the speed of the fastest player in district. So if you have A sugar jolt on, the grentches run 55% faster. They seem to run about 27% faster when people use rushes. I did some experimenting and it seems to be true. I was running 50% faster, and the grentches still ran faster than I did. But when it ran out, I watched them shift speeds. --Barionic Hawkeye User talk:Hawkeye8880 04:41, 22 December 2009 (UTC)
After more testing. There seems to be a lot more going on here than previously thought. The grentches are definatly changing speeds, but how it works is beyond what I see. --Barionic Hawkeye User talk:Hawkeye8880 21:48, 25 December 2009 (UTC)
Uh. I've outran them with Sugar Rush. Easy. Multiple times. They're also not good at chasing me; ran past a group of three without any speed boosts and they kept running past, lol. --Kyoshi (Talk) User Kyoshi sig.png 21:52, 25 December 2009 (UTC)
I agree that they're always faster than players, but unless you stop, they won't reach you, and if you run past some of them, most of the time they won't even notice you^^ So while finding out how fast they are might be interesting, it's not really a problem when running presents... 213.166.213.254 23:07, 25 December 2009 (UTC)
They are programmed to run to where the present was. As long as you have a small lead why'll they havn't even reached where you picked up the present your fine. Yes this speed thing is irelevant, but it is noticeable if you try it. --Barionic Hawkeye User talk:Hawkeye8880 00:49, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
Somehow I think you're just not accounting for how they'll take a straight path toward you if you turn while running. If you ran from them for a long time you'd have to turn, so it'd appear that they move faster, but they wouldn't actually be. I honestly haven't seen them go faster than any player. --Kyoshi (Talk) User Kyoshi sig.png 17:59, 26 December 2009 (UTC)
In many cases, I wasn't the one running with the present. I was running along side the grentches, and they were running faster than me while I was at 50%! While the one being followed was at 25%. I was next to them when one of my 25%s dropped, and I watched the grentches jump and slowdown when it ran out.--Barionic Hawkeye User talk:Hawkeye8880 04:30, 27 December 2009 (UTC)
Huh, that's definitely strange. But maybe you were also not running in as straight a line as the grentches were. (Just suggesting) --Kyoshi (Talk) User Kyoshi sig.png 05:33, 27 December 2009 (UTC)
I think when others move that speed things change. This was in ascolon america 1 when I noticed this. And I was moving in a strait line, heck I tried following them, but i didn't catch up, and they got farther away...--Barionic Hawkeye User talk:Hawkeye8880 06:06, 27 December 2009 (UTC)
"when one of my 25%s dropped" You weren't moving at +50% if you were using two Sugar Rushes. 24.197.253.243 07:25, 27 December 2009 (UTC)
I was moving at least faster than 25%, the effects stack if you use 2 with diffrent lengths. I was with some friends during this time, and they were at 25%, and I was moving faster than them. Since both move 25%, I figure its 50% faster, but I guess it could be 33% or something random. --Barionic Hawkeye User talk:Hawkeye8880 16:30, 27 December 2009 (UTC)
I think lag tends to screw up your testing. --Arduin talk 17:28, 27 December 2009 (UTC)

Missing Children[edit]

A bit late to report, but apparently this years festival left some of the children out. Especially the ones playing Hide-n-Seek in Kamadan.MystiLefemEle 10:24, 31 December 2009 (UTC)

No, they just hide really good. I found only two of them. --Kyoshi (Talk) User Kyoshi sig.png 04:08, 2 January 2010 (UTC)
