Mhenlo...[edit]

Congrats for the new job in the Monastery... but no Cynn? It doesn't look good lol. --Kgptzac 06:09, 10 February 2012 (UTC)

Do it in HM. I won't spoil it for you :D I haven't been able to complete it yet in HM though... too hard. What'd really help if there would be a way of finding how/which NPC's will respawn. Not all of them have consistently when I do this mission; something affects how/which NPC's will respawn, but I have no idea what it is... Windjinni 09:58, 10 February 2012 (UTC)

NM was easy, but i guess HM will be extremely hard.

Possible bug[edit]

I've noticed that after each wave, all of the canthan guards are resurrected for the next wave, except for the last one. Is this suppose to happen? Batchie 11:07, 10 February 2012 (UTC)

This is seemingly random, as noted above. I have yet to figure out a pattern to which the guards resurrect- there are some instances where they don't resurrect AT ALL after a wave (and some where only a few resurrect)... but I've beaten it now... Windjinni 11:12, 10 February 2012 (UTC)
It *should* be based on a time period after all enemies nearby are killed (like every other case). If they aren't resurrecting after a wave, make sure there's no enemy spirits or minions about. Konig/talk 13:30, 11 February 2012 (UTC)
Well its a bug if the npc giving the bombs dies and then gets removed from my party and disappears. The other npc's in my party didn't respawn either. Only ones who did were the guards. This was my first try (wiped btw)DBZVelena | (Talk page) User DBZVelena sig.jpg 22:33, 14 February 2012 (UTC)
Second time, same thing happens. And other npc's disappear too. Makes this one for me hard to impossible to complete. DBZVelena | (Talk page) User DBZVelena sig.jpg 22:42, 14 February 2012 (UTC)

Easy[edit]

1. Get a Fire Bomb
2. Drop and repeat step 1 and 2
3. ????
4. PROFIT!!!

You can get a loads of bombs inbetween waves and just alternate between picking one up and getting a new one for maximum bombage. --178.118.39.146 13:19, 11 February 2012 (UTC)

Yeah, I love it! By far the most fun of any WoC quest! Love the fire bombs!

Has anybody else noticed...[edit]

That when you throw or plant a bomb, it puts every skill except your first (or possibly your elite, was in the same place) on recharge? This was a couple of hours after the content had been released. Was happening to myself and another player I was with in NM. Bramblefeet 23:14, 12 February 2012 (UTC)

All I noticed is that your regular skills don't continue recharging while your skill bar is replaced, making it difficult to maintain certain buffs if you use fire bombs. But I never saw my skills 1 or 2 getting an extra recharge time. Tub 00:19, 13 February 2012 (UTC)
I had a toon that was constantly grabbing devices, dropping them (for use later). All their skills recharged each time I dropped a bundle; at least 3-8 needed to recharge if I set a trap or threw a bomb (I didn't pay attention to #1-2). – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 00:31, 13 February 2012 (UTC)
A few of my skills recharged, too, but not all of them. It was weird. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 02:55, 13 February 2012 (UTC)
All my skills were recharging each time I used a bomb or trap. (Except maybe 2 and 8, but don't quote me on this.) 195.132.194.45 06:58, 14 February 2012 (UTC)
I Recall only having my spells(/skills/signets/... not my attack skills) on cooldown when i used a fire bomb.--178.118.39.146 18:08, 14 February 2012 (UTC)
Well, my Pain Inverter would recharge, but my Summon Ruby Djinn would not. So it's not all spells. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 18:46, 14 February 2012 (UTC)
Your summon spell didn't recharge after 30s? Or you got another bundle before then? (My 1s recharge skills needed 1s and so on.) – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 22:35, 14 February 2012 (UTC)
No, when I dropped the bundle, only some of my skills would go through the recharge process. Summon Ruby Djinn was not one of these skills, meaning that once I dropped the bundle, I could immediately cast Summon Ruby Djinn. --MushaUser Musha Sigc.png 17:42, 28 February 2012 (UTC)

Apprentice Zhi VS Asura Genius[edit]

It amazes me that a drunken apprentice can create an insanely more powerful, useful and fun weapon for defending against an invading horde than the supposed genius asura inventors, Zinn and Blimm. Their "help" was forgettable during the Battle for Lion's Arch (as well as that crappy golem summon skill they gave in the earlier quest, the one that screwed melee). The fire traps/bombs were incredibly helpful and endlessly fun to use. Zhi better get some engineer lore loving in GW2, remembering her legendary feats. 58.106.135.196 16:41, 28 February 2012 (UTC)

Both pieces of Asuran technology are undervalued: the BLA skill b/c it's invisibly effective and the golem beacons b/c it's not obvious how to make good use of them. Spectral Infusion allows an un-infused party to survive against the last two waves of Mursaat+Constructs (not to mention reflects a great deal of Spectral Agony back at them). During A Little Help From Above, an 8-player party can nearly instantly defeat the relevant end boss using the Golem summoning skill; an appropriately pinned 7-hero party can use the golem beacon as a free EVAS, although imo it's not worth returning to the lab to collect one.
I do agree that the IFDs were both helpful and fun (although you also need to know how to make good use of them). However, it seems unrealistic and gimmicky that simple lantern oil would be so explosive (if that's all it takes to create a Searing Flames+++, why isn't it used all the time?). – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 16:56, 28 February 2012 (UTC)

Vs A Chance Encounter[edit]

I liked how A Chance Encounter skipped the bulk of the dialogue when you restarted it. -.- --Ph03n1x 06:04, 2 March 2012 (UTC)

Yeah that was a good feature. File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.jpg Chieftain Alex 14:25, 2 March 2012 (UTC)

Proposal[edit]

Not sure how to add this, but I had Cynn show up before the fourth wave. Mhenlo proposed to her, and she became an ally. I think because I had Gwen in my party, though I'm not certain about that. Katscratched 22:56, 21 June 2012 (UTC)

Cynn: There you are! Did you honestly think you could hide from me!?
Interim Headmaster Mhenlo: Cynn? I wasn't hiding, I... Well, now is not the time. It is fortunate you've arrived. We're under attack!
Cynn: Bah! You always have an excuse to avoid these conversations. I'm not going to wait around forever, you know!
Interim Headmaster Mhenlo: Please, I beg of you... Help us protect the monastery and I'll have whatever conversations you want. Oh no, you're not putting this off again. You're going to marry me, our wedding WILL be nicer than Gwen's, and you're going to like it!
Interim Headmaster Mhenlo: I... but... but...
Interim Headmaster Mhenlo: ...Fine. Cynn, will you marry me?
Cynn: What a wonderful surprise! Yes! A thousand times yes! Now get away from my man, you Sensali savages!

Immediately following the line <Party leader>: "I thank you for the offer, but I think it's due time I speak with her myself."

Besides, I think someone else is waiting to speak with you...
Cynn: Oh Mhenlo, we have some planning to do!
Interim Headmaster Mhenlo: By the Six, what have I agreed to?
