Talk:Rushing

I dont use rushing that often personally, but I have heard it being used in two more contexts:

  1. Making haste (no waiting, regen, etc) in canthan timed missions to obtain masters
  2. Similar to power leveling when pulling a new character to higher levels --Xeeron 16:27, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

What about in PvP? "Rush their priest!" -- Dashface User Dashface.png 02:04, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
Right, that seems to be similar to No1 above. --Xeeron 14:09, 20 June 2007 (UTC)

Merge?[edit]

This seems too similar to either soloing or running to have its own page. -- Oiseau | User Oiseau Melandru.jpg 03:04, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

Maybe in one definition, but nothing else. They are really different, tbh. -~=Ϛρѧякγ User Sparky, the Tainted charr sig.PNG (τѧιк) 03:07, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

Missions[edit]

I've seen the term used in the party panel in several missions, like Elona Reach, Inner Sanctum, Ruins of Morah and the quest "A Time for Heroes". It was by people either looking for someone to make the mission for them, or someone offering the service. "Running" is still used more often, though. Delete Page[edit]

  • Leading and Rushing are not the same, the first usually secures achievement while the second puts everybody at risk.
  • Rapid Completion? That's bullshit, when you team up. People say: Are we going to Masters? Nobody says: "We play rush?"
  • Tactic example of Spiking doesn't fit in my opinion. In any case, "Rushing" would be run through an area despite the attacks, without fighting with the only goal to reach a safe location before dying.

Only the negative connotation makes sense to me, but in that case, any content here should be merged with "Leeroy" instead. I know the page doesn't exist.

But rushing to me only means pushing ahead too much which only causes team members death due to the inability to safely regenerate health before engaging the next foes. Delete this page.

Rush is frequently used in other games as a pvp term to swamp the other team while they're expecting you to be waiting around.
However I agree that the "leading" bulletpoint should not be here, its not the same. -Chieftain Alex 11:45, 31 January 2013 (UTC)
