Talk:Ventari's sanctuary
Source?[edit]
Where is the actual name "Ventari's Sanctuary" shown? I'm cool with this, but many people are redlinking Ventari's Island, and the game (I think) doesn't give it a name. Calor - talk 02:35, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- To my knowledge neither name is official. People just recognise the area as a distinct place and feel a need for a name. Ventari's Sanctuary might be derived from some of the dialogue of the inhabitant saying it's a sanctuary, and goes along with the precedent of Ventari's Refuge. Ventari's Island I guess is derived from the location "belongning" to Ventari in the same way the refuge did, but this time it is perceived as an island, hence Ventari's Island. I will change the other articles which I know use Ventari's Island to sanctuary as there is an actual page for this, although I prefer the prior. Dancing Gnome 06:10, 16 October 2007 (UTC)
- I think it should be moved to lowercase since it's not an official name. -- Gordon Ecker 05:14, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
Map for Infobox[edit]
I've come across this before when trying to add information to the infobox. Previously Dungeon infoboxes were unable to list the number of levels. Now the Landmarks, whicever infobox their pages use, are unable to display Maps. I intended to have something like this; Mountain Eagle, with the map showing the location at the bottom of the infobox. Instead I had to use an image box like on this page; Ventari's Sanctuary. I'm not sure how to add a maps option to the infobox for landmarks but it would make a lot of sense, seeing as Landmarks are locations and finding them is important part of documenting them on the wiki. Spoiler Tag[edit]
I hate these, I really wish it wasn;t needed, I resisted the temptation to remove the note which is the spoiler, but I will leave it there because someone thinks it is important. Can the spoiler tag be moved to the bottom of the page - just above the note which is the spoiler, because the top of the page is no different from any other page on the wiki imho. I am iffy about whether or not it is a spoiler, "seeing" something exactly as it is isn't technically a spoiler in my mind but maybe saying it relates to something might be. - It is in fact a spoiler information, as your seeing information potentially before its revealed, in thsi case, in the final cutscene of GW:EN --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.14.85.154 (talk).
Zone?[edit]
Is this an outpost? Or just a special place in the Arbor Bay explorable? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 65.40.196.108 (talk).
Tree[edit]
Isn't the tree called the Pale Tree, as seen on the GW II wiki? 137.224.227.57 12:00, 14 September 2010 (UTC)
- That's the trees name during GW2. I don't think it has a name during GW1. -- Konig/talk 22:18, 14 September 2010 (UTC)
- Took screenshots of the sanctuary. Post process effects were off due to glitches (had texmod on) but it looks amazing nonetheless. Not sure how to post thumbnails, here's the links: http://i.imgur.com/hVs7E.jpg + http://i.imgur.com/8xarI.jpg. -Tangent 16:21, 31 March 2012 (UTC)
