Skill progression values[edit]

The 10...23...26 thing is messeed up. It should be 10...22...26 but I can't fix it.--Eloc 23:58, 29 March 2007 (EDT)

Question[edit]

just checking something.. in the Knockdown article, it says Ward of Stability stops all KDs within the ward. just for confirmation that this is allies only Twiggie 17:29, 5 February 2008 (UTC)


It also does not prevent KD from the monster skill Trample that the Modniir carry in Eye of the North.Delorean 12:49, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

Trivia[edit]

Recharge reduction[edit]

Apparently this "ward spell" isn't a spell afterall, I can't reduce its recharge with Glyph of Swiftness. Anyone have an explanation for this or is it just a bug? Jeree95 11:11, 9 December 2012 (UTC)

Several of the ward spells have the phrase This spell is disabled for 20 seconds. at the end of them, perhaps it is a bug that this is not mentioned in the description? (in which case, I wonder if the same applies for Ward of Weakness, Ward Against Melee, Ward Against Foes and Ward Against Elements. (I can't test it myself since anet blocked me after changing my account email -_- ) --Chieftain Alex 11:24, 9 December 2012 (UTC)
If it was disabled for only 20 seconds it would be fine, but it seems to have a solid recharge duration of 30 seconds, so I can't maintain it even when using it with Glyph of Swiftness. If it was as you said it might be and just a problem with the description, it would either take a lot longer to recharge or then be maintainable as it is... Jeree95 18:33, 9 December 2012 (UTC)

I tested all the Elementalist ward spells, except for Ward Against Harm and Teinai's Heat (since they both have 20 second disabled durations), with Glyph of Renewal and it seems Ward of Stability and Ward of Weakness will consume that glyph's charge, but they won't be instantly recharged. Glyph of Essence (tested with daze from the Student of Dazed), Glyph of Lesser Energy, Glyph of Restoration, and Glyph of Sacrifice (tested with daze from the Student of Dazed) all function normally with those two ward spells. These two ward spells are considered spells, since they do consume a glyph's charge when used and are affected by all glyphs that don't reduce recharge time. It appears that they cannot recharge faster than the recharge times listed in their descriptions. I've added a bug note to those two ward spell pages. --Silver Edge 07:17, 10 December 2012 (UTC)
I tested Teinai's heat and Ward against harm:
  • Ward Against Harm can be instantly recharged by glyph of renewal, and the recharge can be reduced by usage of Glyph of Swiftness (even with 20s disable!) (i.e. the disable isn't applied on this skill)
  • Teinai's heat cannot be instantly recharged by glyph of renewal, and the recharge is not reduced by usage of Glyph of Swiftness (i.e. this skill works perfectly)
