Drop rate[edit]

Does anyone know what the chances are of getting each item? --68.32.187.152 15:59, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

Well, until we know if the new items are going to be in the gifts, any old drop rate research would be pretty much null and void. --Wyn's Talk page Wyn 16:04, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

Drop Research[edit]

moved to Wintersday Gift/Drop rate

Research[edit]

I've added my drop rates and the percentages. I hope I help someone with it. All presents are from this year Nok005 18:17, 24 December 2008 (UTC)

The drop rates are being tracked here I will move your numbers there. --Wyn's Talk page Wyn 18:18, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
Thx! I didn't know that page Nok005 19:15, 24 December 2008 (UTC)

Hey guys, I added my drop rate for 2500 gifts I opened, but I think I coded it wrong on the droprate link, if anyone can fix it, thanks. --ScorpDeception63 21:47, 18 December 2010 (UTC)

2010 Drop Rate[edit]

I have opened a couple of thousand gifts this year and i'm consistently getting around 3 times as many Green CCs as Rainbow and Peppermint, has the drop rate changed this year? Lyra ValoUser Lyra Valo Sig.jpg 16:22, 19 December 2010 (UTC)

I have found just about as many green CCs as the other two combined, but I've only opened 600 some. Cheapy 02:10, 20 December 2010 (UTC)

Gifts as drops[edit]

Hey, I know that Wintersday is over in like 10 minutes, but I just did this quest for kicks right now, and it turns out that the Grentches drop Wintersday Gifts instead of Candy Cane Shards (they still drop frozen ecto). Could this have been unintentional when all the rewards switched from cc shards to gifts? I have a couple screenshots if needed. I just didn't see any mention of this anywhere on either wiki... EDIT: Maybe no one noticed since everyone was busy farming Strength, SD and Crush. This quest is... erm... not profitable, so it's probable that no one went down there. I wish I'd found that before though, since it's way cool.  :) Ailina 20:07, 4 January 2011 (UTC)
Yes, they dropped presents, I noticed. I didn't remember that they used to drop shards though. My guess is that it's intentional, since drop tables and quest rewards are entirely different things and you wouldn't accidently change one while working on the other. Tub 21:46, 4 January 2011 (UTC)

2012 drops[edit]

Weird, I was just opening a bunch of these, and was careful to leave nine open slots in my inventory. The nine filled up quickly, but suddenly I got an error message saying my inventory is full--as though there were now some kind of super-rare tenth item that you can get from Wintersday gifts (and which, needless to say, I didn't get). Any ideas?--98.114.178.61 01:59, 17 December 2012 (UTC)

All presents require at least one empty inventory slot (excluding Equipment Pack) even if opening that present would produce an item that could be added to a stack (that hasn't reached 250) of that identical item. --Silver Edge 07:04, 17 December 2012 (UTC)
Wow, I can't believe it was as simple as that. Thanks.--98.114.178.61 06:53, 22 December 2012 (UTC)
