Track down Sandre's brother, a man of royalist leanings, and convince him to return home by appealing to his vanity.

Objectives

• Talk to Ralena Stormbringer in Foible's Fair to learn Orion's whereabouts.
• Find Orion in Wizard's Folly and convince him to come home.
• Return to Sandre Elek for your reward.

Walkthrough

After getting the quest from Sandre Elek, travel to Foible's Fair and talk to Ralena Stormbringer. To find Orion, head out from Foible's Fair and follow the road northeast until you reach the house on the left. From there head west through the trees towards the quest pointer, until you find Orion. Speak to Orion, then travel back to Ascalon City and speak to Sandre Elek for the reward.

Dialogue

Initial dialogue

Sandre Elek

"I'm sorry to bother you, but I've heard some impressive things about you, and I think only someone with your skill and bravery can help me with my problem."

"I think my brother Orion has fallen in with the Royalists. He's not wicked, just reckless and impulsive. When Sir Tydus expelled him from the Academy, he became embittered toward the army, but I don't think he realizes how serious this is. I don't want him to throw his life away for foolish pride. Do you think you could find him and tell him what I said? Perhaps convince him to come home?"

"I don't know exactly where he is, but I imagine Ralena Stormbringer in Foible's Fair might. Orion was always trying to impress her. He might have told her something."

 Accept: "I'll try to bring your brother home."

 Decline: "Orion must live with his decision."

 Ask: "Please. Have you found my brother yet? I have no more information to give you but that I think he's hiding out in Green Hills County."

Intermediate dialogue

Ralena Stormbringer

"Aye, I can tell you where Orion went. He headed out northwest past the road. He thinks he'll find some Royalists there, but Vassar thinks it won't work. I hope he doesn't get himself killed, but he can't expect me to go tromping all over the mountain looking for him."

Orion Elek

Hmph. Sandre's a sweet girl, but she's very naive about the ways of the world. Some day, you will all see that peace and order can only be restored fully to Ascalon when the rightful royal line is restored to the throne.

If you have talked to Ralena Stormbringer

"What's this? Vassar is at the Fair, cozying up to Ralena!? Curse the day I was born! What am I doing out here? The revolution will have to wait!"

Reward dialogue

Sandre Elek

"Praise Dwayna! I'm so relieved to know he's left the Royalists. I feared he was lost to us forever."

Notes

• Talking to Orion before talking to Ralena Stormbringer will initiate dialog with him, but he will not be swayed.
• Orion starts walking as soon as you get done talking to him and, unless killed in the process, ultimately returns to Foible's Fair.
