History[edit]

Some guilds start out of friendship, some out of ambition, but Pve Scrubs was born from the core members wanting to PvP instead of PvE all day long with SMS. It would be sometime last thursday before the first member was recruited. With prior online gaming experience, it was just five player versus the world. The first additional member was found in Scars Meadows.

Through the use of guild chat, a common chat box used in guild wars, the initial members of Pve Scrubs began to make connections and lulz. Pickup groups did not yield results. Various chance encounters also lead to numerous shitty players that we did not invite; however, it was difficult keeping members—the small roster meant that members often played alone. Another problem faced by the rising guild was the issue of Knoll afking with the flag. Despite it all, the small guild endured.

During the month of Jantober, FaiL did not start to grow much more rapidly. The guild discovered twenty-seven and a half new builds that suited their epicness, and success brought no more members into the fold. However, as the guild did not grow, this lack of players would soon become a problem. The focus of the guild was on lulz, racial slurs, acting like carebears, and enjoying all aspects of making the alliance mad. No recruits approached the guild with the aspiration of learning PvP methods, which would not lead to variety of problems down the road. The original core members did not leave months later (besides Simath, wtfux), others stayed even after there were communication issues, and some left simply feeling that they were to gud for teh guild.

No new core of players was set, with less solid guidelines to prevent any future incidents. The guild would focus mainly on lulz, and almost exclusively within the PvP element of Guild Wars. PvP led to some of the communication issues that created the original core of the members; the slow movement into PvE had failed. Pve Scrubs has now devolved into a guild that focuses on the lulz element of the game, while ensuring that all members get to know one another and become better acquainted. Ultimately, the officers and leader try to emphasize that at the end of the day it's NOT just a game because THE INTARNET IZ SRS BUSINESS.

About[edit]

Lulz is the most important aspect of Pve Scrubs. Be it winning 6v8, running prophecy-only builds, or just good old fashioned afk'ing with the flag. There is a high priority on personal wealth, as they believe that accumulating money does contribute to the development of a player's skill. Members who want the pretty armor need to be prepared to not work for it. Anyone hoping to do nothing but farm all day would be enjoying themselves very much among the ranks.

When it comes to guild battles, the guild fills slots with willing henchman. If there are any vacancies in the roster, the group turns to players. Everyone is forced or pressured into doing a mission; it's a game, and it's supposed to be SERIOUS BUSINESS.

Over time, members of Pve Scrubs have made two accomplishments that provide a sense of self-satisfaction for the whole guild. One of the earliest successes was a winning a guild battle with a group of six players. The motivation came from the realization that the battle had already been conquered in a similar manner by a group of eight players—so why not six? The process took one attempt and no tweaking of skills/equipment before they won, netting no amount of wealth or experience points for the six members.

Recruitment[edit]

Not recruiting at the present. But if we were we would only be accepting rank 15+ applicants. Unlike most PvP guilds we do it for teh lulz.
