Guild History

The guild got its start in December 2005 when Savio Striator and Carinae Dragonblood brought together various players who had met and become friends while farming in Sorrow's Furnace. In this context Fifteen Over Fifty [Rare] was founded, its name and tag being a play on the Damage +15% (while Health is above 50%) damage mod which was scarce and highly sought after at the time. Shortly after establishing the guild, Savio transfered leadership to Carinae Dragonblood due to extended absences from the game.

In March of 2006 [Rare] made Guild Wars history by becoming the first known guild to kill the Undead Lich before the end of the Prophecies campaign. Taking advantage of the fact that the Lich, when he appears at the end of the Abaddon's Mouth mission, is vulnerable to life stealing and health degeneration, the guild set out with a party of necromancers to break the game's storyline. The feat was recorded in the [Rare] kills Lich in Abaddon's thread on the Guild Wars Guru Forums.

[Rare] also repeated their story-breaking stunt in October 2006 by killing Shiro Tagachi early in the Sunjiang District mission, this time making use of untargeted life stealing via Vampiric Spirit due to the fact that Shiro cannot be targeted or damaged. The accomplishment was again recorded on the Guild Wars Guru Forums in the [Rare] does it again!!! Shiro dead in Sunjiang! thread.
