Enduring scythe[edit]

Strength + Warrior's Endurance + Scythes for energyspam stuff. PvX has a build but it's rated only good in favour of the axe version. Not sure why, but I'm slightly surprised about those builds...

I have a saved template that's a variation of PvX's enduring scythe, which looks like this:

12 Strength, 12 Scythe Mastery, 3 Earth Prayers

The problem with Eremite's is that you need a teardown. Hmm.

Tactics[edit]

What about this?

The problem with Drunken Blow Drunken Blow is that it causes a knockdown on you for each enemy you hit with a scythe, so Steady Stance Steady Stance won't really do. Throw a little knockdown immunity in there and you can toss those two about like candy as well. Hmm, but they have exactly the same + damage progression as Power Attack Power Attack, and it's splitting attributes again which will just weaken things more. The bigger drawback is probably the fact that flail and balanced stance won't play nicely together...

I don't have a warrior who can test these, but what if you added Soldier's Strike Soldier's Strike, Thrill of Victory Thrill of Victory or Counterattack Counterattack (or two of them) into the mix? Can you then avoid autoattacks due to having enough other stuff to spam? You'll need a zealous scythe to keep your energy up then though.

Oh, and is this better than the conventional one? Maybe that's the biggest question...

"Brace Yourself!"[edit]

This little skill does nearby damage for 5e and instant activation! Heroes will even use it on you when you are knocked down, and the duration is long enough that you can make it trigger on the next drunken blow. Oh, and there's no attribute requirement to knock yourself down with warrior skills, only that you need to be in melee with something. It also shares an attribute that people seem to like in PvE.

What if you just run 0 tactics and take a build like this (it'll probably have energy problems). You get to apply conditions with huge durations in the process as well as triggering Brace Yourself lots, while your spirits have fun doing whatever they feel like doing. Plus you can trigger Splinter Weapon.

OK, maybe I'm being a bit silly and should stop now. Loggy (talk) 22:00, 2 June 2014 (UTC)
