To Do[edit]
Need to add user boxes and link the page to wiki articles... find the userboxes that apply... MrPaladin 14:43, 5 May 2009 (UTC)
- Ok I've modified and borrowed enough userboxes... Next to link the page to useful articles.... not going to bother making personnel character pages. MrPaladin talk 18:30, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
Cool[edit]
- Cool, I'm a Christian too, and I'd like to join your guild. King Neoterikos 10:53, 26 May 2009 (UTC)
Woad[edit]
If you read the note, it said left side dyed white. The white side is the left side right? The dyed side is the right, but that's not what the note says. I don't want to revert because that would break the reversion rule and also just be silly. If you don't agree with me, can you explain? :) - anja 14:54, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
- re-reads page* hmmmm.... ahhh... ohhhh.... hmmmm yes quite right... undoing my revert... thanks for the heads up... I thought it was a mishap with someone looking at the picture from the 3rd person.... thanks for the heads up... MrPaladin talk 15:01, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
- Hehe, thanks :) I got a bit unsure when you reverted too, thinking I might have read it all wrong :P - anja 17:21, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
Justification[edit]
I am not an idiot, and I do not understand why it is important for me to justify my changes to the uneducated public. Why would I put my time into editing something that is not correct? I am here to contribute my knowledge to the rest of the community, and having to justify each and every edit is slowing down progress. You people wonder why high end players see all these issues with wiki, but don't bother to fix it? Chances are, some retard on this wiki is going to revert it to add some "contributions" to his profile.
- I never called you an idiot, I'm just witnessing many reverts on a page (and reverting wars are not allowed) that are only redirecting to dead links... if a change needs to be made lets do it correctly... the current conversation on talk:Chaos Planes is valid... thanks for being active on the wiki! MrPaladin talk 17:25, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

- 72 I fixed the sig, you accidently signed as me... ohh dear that would make it look like I was calling myself an idiot, how embarrassing... anyhow 72 you've been upto alot of no good and it seems now that you have earned a ban due to vandalism... If you would like to contribute in the future in meaningful ways please look into the articles in the Support box on the left... enjoy your downtime MrPaladin talk 17:40, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

Note[edit]
Just wanted to give you a quick heads up that you have a typo in one of your user boxes. It says, this user patrols resent changes instead of recent. And one more thing, do you mind if I copy your Faith section on your userpage b/c I would really like to have it on mine and yours inspires me every time I read it. =) Assassin Warrior 20:48, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks, I made the correction (I love spellcheckers but there are soem cases I can't use em)... ohh and definatly copy anything that suits your needs... It's not like I didn't take the principles form the Bible anyhow :) MrPaladin talk 12:41, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
Project, clean up Guide to Prophecies[edit]
I'm going to keep hammering away at this guide until it conforms and links into the other guides as time allows... call it a pet project... there were several things I wish I knew as I cracked open the case and played the first time... including the common traps of scams... much more to come MrPaladin talk 18:05, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

Rit Update[edit]
Totally agree with you there. Making rits play like rits and stopping other classes from playing rits = complete win. And the guy who says that nobody 'gives a nickel about PvE changes' sort of confuses me. Is it just me, or do thousands of people play PvE every single day? ^^ Anyway, nice looking user page, by the way. I've seen you around before but didn't have an opportunity to leave comment. Green Arrow 14:02, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
- Truth be told tho, My Rt can also play a pretty mean MM... but with the spirit changes its spirits all the way :)... I've also seen you around too, thanks for the comments on my page, its nothing fancy, just says what I need it too... I do wish however that they would add one or two skills to wars to help them get past all the melee hate out there, The change to VoR is more then welcome in my books, still strong, but its manageable MrPaladin talk 14:15, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
zaishen quest[edit]
why did you change it to {{gold}} [[Gold]]? if you feel that strongly about it you can go through all of the zaishen quests to date and change it to "XX Zaishen coins" as well. basicly, what i am saying is it says "1,000 gold gold" the way you have it. see what i mean? XD 66.190.88.253 17:22, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
- Actually your correct.. to fit with the formatting of the Z pages I will revert back to original... the Gold icon is not used in the default formatting anywhere... Thanks for the headsup... if you feel the default format needs to be changes best to give a headsup to the Admins/those incharge of the format choices... MrPaladin talk 17:27, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
- it's not a problem. :D i already fixed it for you so there is no need to revert anything. i actually updated the format guide accordingly and it will just be a matter of time until we get to "fix" the rest of them as they come. sorry if i sounded rude the first post, that was not my intention and i reworded how i said it to you so that i wouldn't sound like a horses ass. 66.190.88.253 17:31, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
- Either way sounds fine... tho I hope folks dont get confused thinking they will get 1000 gold Zoins >< MrPaladin talk 17:38, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
- haha. they won't. look at the difference. ^^ 66.190.88.253 17:40, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

Your guild[edit]
Is it satirical ? Lilondra *poke* 20:02, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
- nope, as you can see from my page its it a part of a large christian alliance and we hold events, have a code of conduct suiting a chrisitan morality and Bible studies accross the alliance several times a week... several members are quite willing to share their faith with anyone who wants to know more... MrPaladin talk 20:05, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

- The relationship is more important then the religion... church itself is just a place where messed up people try to better themselves... ohh and I didn't feel mocked, takes quite a bit to offend me anyways, I take as much as I can in the best light... MrPaladin talk 20:16, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
- Personally I consider the bible to be a book with alot of wisdom but 99 % of the people (yay failstatistics) fail to get it out of there. Also good :p then you are made for the internetz Lilondra *poke* 20:18, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
- I lol'ed@ the failstatistics... (for those who arnt stalking me I made a quote in another talk page about 98% of statistics being made up)... yer Jesus even dumbed down what the Bible teaches (old testiment) in a way that is easy to understand... but for some reason people (in general) want something complex and making that religion around it to fill some need for complexity... Religion[edit]
If you are a religious Christian, can I ask you a religious question? Titani Ertan 15:27, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
- Religious Christian... a funny term but I understand what your implying... sure ask away... MrPaladin talk 16:36, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
Seeing as the New Testimony and Jesus specifically says specifically to not kill, turn the other cheek etc etc, why did the Crusades happen? Why did religious Christians kill for a faith that orders them not to kill? And as the old testimony says that sins will be remembered until 4th generation, meaning that Christians that had killed in the World Wars carry their sins of murder to todays generation. So technically, every Christian which ancestor participated in WWI or WWII are sinners.
God has indicated that all man are equal, and so did Jesus. So why must you call a Priest "Father"? The people of religion only have their title, they are no different than regular people, so you should call them by name, not by title. Furthermore, why must you pray in a Church? Seeing that according to the Testimonies and the Koran God is everywhere and is vigilant, he hears the prayers of every single human wherever they pray.
If Jesus is the appearance of God on earth, and is the sun of God, how can he bleed, or more, die? He is some sort of super-dude in a way.
Btw, I believe that people believe in God. I envy them, as I can't understand it. Titani Ertan 16:50, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
- Seeing as the New Testimony and Jesus specifically says specifically to not kill, turn the other cheek etc etc,
- (dont confuse murder with kill.. but..)Correct, Jesus even went furthur to say that if you hate your brother you have commited murder in your heart... see sermon on the mount for more info there...
- why did the Crusades happen?
- Humans make mistakes, and it seems in this case that the Pope/Roman catholic church believed that a person can earn their repentance thru deeds... many who faught in the crusade did so believeing they were serving for pennance (paying for their sins)... above it all as with most wars it was waged for many religious, economic, and political reasons. To understand why the people of the time (christian or not) would have in their hearts to make war perhaps the wiki article on the crusades would offer more information then myself.
- Why did religious Christians kill for a faith that orders them not to kill?
- While thou shalt not murder does not translate into thou shalt not kill I'll try to answer this one as best I can. A man asked Jesus what the greatest commandment was (there are many Jewish laws, not just the big 10) and Jesus replied to love the Lord your God with all your body, mind, soul and spirit, and to love your neighbour as yourself. Combined with other teachings of Jesus (as mentioned on the sermon on the mount) I can see why people get very confused seeing a christian waging war. Jesus Himself did not fight back as he was crucified as such should be our example. I believe why religious Christians kill for their faith is because they are people who get to caught up in the religion they let go of having the relationship they need to Christ. Much the same way as people in crowds can get a crowd mentality and do things they would not otherwise do because a few strong willed (or powerful)people lead the group. Put onto of that peoples nature to survive and defend against enemys and you get wars.
- And as the old testimony says that sins will be remembered until 4th generation, meaning that Christians that had killed in the World Wars carry their sins of murder to todays generation.
- In the old testiment the Jewish people were given the ten commandments.. and if you follow the books other laws filled their books to show what a perfect life would be... Jesus came fulfilling the law and the prophets... we come to find out that no one sin is greater then another, sin is sin... Romans 3:23 brings out the ugly truth that all have sinned and fallen short... Jesus came, fulfilling the prophet words from the old testiment... living perfectly to the law of the old testiment to provide us a way to be free of sin totally (even generational) with the final payment for sin on the cross... an example that Jesus has the right to forgive sin you can see a pasage in Luke 5:17-26 where he forgave the sins of a sick man infront of religious leaders and they tried to call him on it...
- So technically, every Christian which ancestor participated in WWI or WWII are sinners...
- all have sinned, unless you recieve the forgiveness of Jesus, all are sinners... Only one was sinless.
- God has indicated that all man are equal, and so did Jesus. So why must you call a Priest "Father"?
- Roman cath. doctrine isn't it... Its not something I agree with... as a Baptist I do call the preacher "Preaher" or "Pastor" but only in so much as I would call a teacher my "teacher". The pastor of the church I attend is also known to attend a program we have for people who are overcomming problems in their lives... Jesus himself washed the feet of his diciples to show the importance of serving others and not being all greater than thou.
- The people of religion only have their title, they are no different than regular people, so you should call them by name, not by title.
- Somewhat agree... but with the note of what I said about teachers above... its a matter of respect... but no one man/woman is better then another... thats the way I see it...
- Furthermore, why must you pray in a Church? Seeing that according to the Testimonies and the Koran God is everywhere and is vigilant, he hears the prayers of every single human wherever they pray...
- Agree... the way I read my Bible I can pray any time to a personnal God who knows and understands... I'm to even pray in a quiet place and not to be concerned or intrested in people seeing me pray... but also we are to pray together and be of one mind and one body in corprate prayer at times...
- If Jesus is the appearance of God on earth, and is the sun[sic] of God, how can he bleed, or more, die? He is some sort of super-dude in a way
- Born of a virgin so he could come to earth in a way that we can fully accept him having a human life and yet in a way we can accept Him as being God. If he just appeared on earth he would not have been accepted that He understand us in our human life, He would have always been otherworldly. His death was no easy ordeal, as recorded in the garden as He prayed knowing what had to happen. As the criminal on the cross next to him said "if you are God take yourself off this cross and take me with you" but he stayed there for us (you), and to fulfil all that the Christ was said to do... Die for our sins, paying the price of the perfect life for ours of sin... rising again showing power over death... Jesus is God, and having been on earth as a human you can completly believe he understands a human life, human emotions, human struggles... and while he was here He taught us in as simple terms as possible.
- Btw, I believe that people believe in God. I envy them, as I can't understand it.
- It would seem to some that belief is illogical... its not as crazy as people would make out... I think from your questions your having the same issue as Ghandi as he spoke "I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ." It is sad but he hit the nail on the head... some people confessing to be christians are not living the life of a christian.
- ~I envy the religious people, because I got absoloutely nothing to believe in. For almost my whole life I raised myself or my father was there to assist and help me. When I was a teenager and a bishop came to my school to lecture about religion, and after the lecture I turned and asked him those questions and more. His answer was "you speak words of blasphemy, young boy", and he turned around and left. I searched for a religion that fit me for my entire life, but found none. I read through the Bible, New Testimony, Koran, and I spoke to Budahists and so many believers of unnamed religions. I found nothing that could suit me. I envy you and religious people because you can believe in the Bible and the New Testimony. I also pity you, because you follow them blindly.
- I hope this helps MrPaladin talk 17:59, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
- I answered with ~. Also, how come Christians hate Jewish people? Christianity=Judaism+Jesus. Titani Ertan 18:48, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
- I don't think it is a general hate... your saying some chrisitans hate Jewish people? Essentially as you said yes, Christianity is early Judaism + Jesus being the fulfillment of the prophecies of the commong messiah. There are a few differences Jewish branches have with Christianity, the main one is not accepting Jesus is God or the Messiah. There are some Jewish people who are totally christian in their belief also... I guess it comes back again to some people holding the religion above the relationship. Others may hate for the same reason people can dislike those who are different... I can't speek for everyone, but hating people is not something taught or shown by Christ MrPaladin talk 18:54, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
- Sorry I did not catch your extra statements eariler (weird indents in this topic) so I'll try to address it here...
- I found nothing that could suit me. I envy you and religious people because you can believe in the Bible and the New Testimony.
- Did a study with a youth group about world religions... taking a look at what people believe and why... and also allowing us to take a good hard look at what we believe and why... I found it refreshing... Also got better insight to how Jesus reacted to jewish people in the traditions... I think everyone goes looking for the meaning of life... but personnally I have come to find it does not have a meaning, we have a purpose... I am here for a reason MrPaladin talk 20:20, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
- I also pity you, because you follow them blindly.
- Me personnaly, or those who are caught up in the religion? Nothing I have learnt contradicts what I believe... I'm a pretty logical guy, went to Uni on a software engineering major and mathimatically inclined... I like to reason things thru so I wouldn't call that blindly... unless your talking about faith in general, having to believe in some part in something that is not proved conclusivly? alot of people believe things outside of God without sufficient proof MrPaladin talk 20:20, 17 July 2009 (UTC)

Asshattery[edit]
So how do you deal with all the asshattery in GW regarding your faith? --158.121.88.54 15:52, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
- where there are legitimate questions I answer... where there is just people trying to stir trouble I handle it the way it says biblically... in a respectful manner without reproach... so that if the conversation is ever recounted no one can say that my behavior or language was "wrong"... there are always gonna be people out there who will try to "lol christian" I don't ignore them, but I also do my best not to feed their bad habbits... I do encourage those who want to take it to PM's instead of trying to stir trouble in local (chat) to do so.... I've had many pleasent conversations with genuine questions and challenging thoughts that way MrPaladin talk 15:55, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
- With respect to your guild, are you all christian are there non-christians? are you all shouting praise the lord/amen! every time you slay a monster? I can't image what the point of/what the atmosphere of a christian guild is like. Do you see it (GW and your guild) as a place for fellowship or outreach? --158.121.88.54 16:21, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
- Well I see it as this... GW itself at times is not much more then a glorified chat room with a bit of fun inbetween... the game is a way to connect with people... while advancing characters gives a sence of achievement I'm more intrested on getting to know people and helping them out... We accept christians (of all denominations) and non christians (who am I to say who can't be accepted or can't come to learn about Christ) but we do have moral behavior standards (no cussing, and arguements are handled, respect for all members)... we organise group gatherings and meet in guild halls or team speek for Bible studies or discussions... but we also don't mind getting together for a Vanq or dungeon crawl just playing the game... The most problems as you mention come when we advertise the guild... people like to latch onto the Christian tag even when the advertiser was doing nothing more then any other guild advertiser...
