Preface[edit]

While doing a come back in Tombz (now renamed as Heroes' Ascent) in order to reach the popular rank of Renowned Hero (9), I mastered this build that is, despite what every HA player say, pretty hard to play and be effective with. Many individuals will argue that all you have to do is wait for the spikes and press your buttons, but your role between spikes is pretty important (taking down spirits, supporting your team with Make Haste and Fall Back, throwing heats on balled up foes). Most callers in HA suck horribly and will make your job ten times harder to land your spells on time. Consider spiking on your 40/40 set for that purpose.

Attributes[edit]

10 Command makes "Fall Back!"'s duration and Health Gain fairly nice as well as still meeting the requirement for your Command Shield sets even under the Weakness condition so it's worth it. Having 10 Energy Storage is pretty useless for Glyph of Lesser Energy too.

Variants[edit]

Many variants are possible although the bar above is the best SH Ele setup in my humble opinion. As long as your team can use their Resurrection Skills/Spells with proper delay, everything should be fine with you not having a signet.

Equipment[edit]

  • Blessed Insignias and/or Survivor Insignias
  • Vitae Runes
  • 40/40 Fire set
  • 0/40 Fire set (for spiking, if your caller is good, don't bother otherwise)
  • Adept Fire Staff of Enchanting
  • Spear of Defense + Command Shield of Fortitude (+10 vs dangerous damage types, have many in inventory)
  • Spear of Fortitude + Shield of Fortitude (High health set, kinda useless since bspike is not around anymore)

Usage[edit]

  • Rodgort on Axe or Sword spikes
  • Savannah and/or Searing Heat on Hammer spikes (although Rodgort after SH can make a spike cleaner)
  • Use heats to destroy bad spirits (Nature's Renewal Nature's Renewal, Predatory Season Predatory Season, Infuriating Heat Infuriating Heat, Recovery Recovery, etc)
  • Tip1: Use Searing/Teinai's Heat while the enemy Ritualist is casting Life Life so that the spirit dies within 3-4 seconds after spawning.
  • When facing spirit way (aka SWAY), feel free to use SH and Rodgort to destroy spirits even if you fail to be on a few spikes because of that
  • Use "Make Haste!" wisely, on kiting/pre-kiting allies mid-game, use on hammer warriors so they can reach the target they actually called to spike without failing hardcore like they were about to do, use on relic runners, your backline when they need it...so many uses, be smart with it.
  • Use "Fall Back!" as a backup "Make Haste!", to pre-kite Spikes, to quickly rush to a certain place, minor red bar push vs hexways, ....lots of uses again...be smart.
