Lay-out[edit]
Hi, i like your userpage, maybe you could pimp mine??? ~ Kurd11:00, 31 March 2007 (EDT)
- Hey there. Nice user page =P I agree, much better ;) -- File:Blackgeneralstar.png (General | Talk) 08:24, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
Your talk page[edit]
A quote from GWW:USER: "Do not apply any special formatting to either the talk page or your comments." Please remove the formatting from your talk page. Thanks. -- (gem / talk) 22:16, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
- *sigh* - now I remember why I never started editing properly here. I guess it's back to Wikipedia, again. Goodness - it was only 1 day, and a pointless policy already caught me. Wow - I think it was 2 days last time. Ale_Jrb (talk) 22:52, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
- Sorry, but I don't think that the policy is pointless. However, if you feel that you can't edit in this wiki for that reason, I can't stop you. -- (gem / talk) 10:32, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
Delete tagging images[edit]
Could you please notify the uploaders of the images you are tagging for deletion? They might not have time to see your edit before the image is deleted, and then they stand there without image or explanation. - anja (contribs) 11:04, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
GuildWatch[edit]
Thanks for this, it's handy. Was considering doing something similar until I noticed you already had, and why reinvent the wheel, especially when it's slim and streamlined? Kudos. (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 21:46, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
- I agree, nice work -FireFox File:Firefoxav.png 21:54, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
- Great job indeed. :) I've deleted all images which didn't have any links to them. I was going to upload all other images with a correct name and delete the incorrect named ones, but decided to give the users time to do it themselves to avoid some extra work. :) -- (gem / talk) 23:55, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
"Hard Refresh"[edit]
you may want to elaborate that to users who do not know what a "hard refresh" is, something simple I know but still it may help people understand the hard work you have undergone in making the tool. --Jamie 23:58, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the tip - I'll edit it. Goodness, if any more people get interested in it, I might need to mvoe it to Ale_jrb/GuildWatch. PMG. I'm just glad it's helpful :). Ale_Jrb (talk) 00:00, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
- One note though, when you Save Page after editing monobook.js, the resulting page does explain how to do a hard refresh. (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 00:01, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, which is why I didn't put it in at first. Oh well. Ale_Jrb (talk) 00:03, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, I know that also but it is not called "hard refresh" as a web designer I have known it as a "cache refresh". --Jamie 00:04, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Help plz[edit]
what do u mean by this Guild <guild name> <other name> --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Demons End .
- Guild Image names should concatenate "Guild", the full guild name and another name (which is the content description). E.g. "Guild Firebird Xceed cape.jpg" is a valid name, stating that this image is a Guild image of Guild Firebird Xceed and shows a cape. - MSorglos 07:51, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
Big Thanks![edit]
Thank you so much for helping with the recent vandalism on our guild site. You rock! - Ex 07:03, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
GuildWatch Request[edit]
Hi, could you add a tag like Guild Image delete (naming) for user images? Would be great. - MSorglos 07:47, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
- I concur -FireFox File:Firefoxav.png 07:54, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
- I'll look into it Ale_Jrb (talk) 08:46, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for your quick response. Btw you can change your code on your page that you don't have to change the recent changelog hint after you actually changed it. See Gaile/Frog Talk for the code to work with ( {{:GuildWatch/Changelog}} on User page, <noinclude> older changelog entries</noinclude> on changelog page should work, dont know weather it works with formatting) - MSorglos 09:51, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

T:Delete (reason) bug?[edit]
If I try to delete User:CoRrRan/Sandbox to test out your GuildWatch-mods, and clicking on "T: Delete (reason)", I see the edit page begin opened, and directly closed again. I bet this isn't the way it is supposed to work. Or am I using it in the wrong place/way? (Using IE 7) -- (CoRrRan / talk) 14:11, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
- There should be a javascript popup window asking for delete reason. - MSorglos 14:17, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
- I can see the confirm popup too. Popup blocked? -- ab.er.rant 14:21, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
- Crap, now I remember why I hate IE... :) (I'm using a different PC with only IE on it at the moment, at home I use FF.) I don't get a warning about popups being blocked. But I guess you can disregard this question/comment I guess. -- (CoRrRan / talk) 14:27, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
- That will be the problem. The Tag: Delete feature uses a Javascript pop-up to ask for your message. If anything closes the pop-up, it will go back a page to prevent it from leaving blank messages. You can allow the script to prompt you by going to:
- Tools
- Internet Options
- Security
- Internet
- Custom Level
- Then, near the bottom under 'Scripting', Enable 'Allow websites to prompt for information using scripted windows'.
- I might put an IE warning later. Ale_Jrb (talk) 15:53, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

I think I found one bug with delete template: I tagged Category:Guildes_PvP with a delete tag, entered reason "Category:PvP guilds" resulted in following summary: "(tagging: delete, {{delete|GuildWatch)" GuildWatch was not linked, delete summary showing less details (as e.g. "(tagging: delete, {{delete|Speedy C1: ... ; using GuildWatch)"). - MSorglos 13:09, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

Would you mind[edit]
I really like your guildwatch plug in would you mind if I take the code and try to make it useful for updating quest pages. --Sktbrd341 04:38, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, I think it would be better if you collaborate with him and add to the GuildWatch script directly :) -- ab.er.rant 05:19, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- Yea I could collaborate with him on it, the only thing is I was just planning on making it for personal us and I didn't want to have all the deletion tags and stuff on it. I was just planning on making a lite version of it. But if he wants to collaborate then that would be find also. --Sktbrd341 05:41, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- Perhaps it could be an idea to slightly redesign the inclusion code in this way: every action (e.g. Tag:Delete, Notify:Guild Image) is one function which has a guard condition (on which pages to occur), the code to add the corresponding link and the code to execute if action is choosen.
- There is one function (actually guildWatch()), that adds all registered actions to a pool of possible actions. This function can be changed to add other functions. For each page it checks wether guard condition is true and adds functional link if so.
- I don't know wether such coding is possible in JavaScript - I only use Java for programming and I know that it would be easy to program it in Java :-) - MSorglos 07:45, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- That's quite a good idea. I'm quite busy at the moment, but I'll have a look into it - it would make it easier to add to. Until then, if anyone wants to steal a copy of it to edit, feel free. You'll have to copy teh actual script, rather than including it, from: User:Ale_jrb/guildwatch.js. If you do edit it, though, credit is good pl0x :P Ale_Jrb (talk) 08:39, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks Ale_jrb, I am a programmer too and thought it would be right to ask you first if I could use it instead of just taking it. And of course I will give credit to you. Thanks again hopefully what I am trying to do will work out. --Sktbrd341 15:23, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- No problem. If you need help deciphering anything (I'm a little messy :P), don't hesitate to ask. Ale_Jrb (talk) 15:41, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- Sounds good I was looking at it last night in notepad and I think i figured out pretty much how it all works. But if I do have any questions I will let you know. --Sktbrd341 15:43, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
GuildWatch Naming[edit]
Sounds good - great tool. I think someday we have to rename it as it has much more functionality than watching guild articles ;-) - MSorglos 09:42, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- I dunno - it quite a ring to it. But I'm open to ideas ;) Ale_Jrb (talk) 09:49, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- Perhaps "GWWWatch"? or shorter "GWWW"? I never were good at making names. Good luck for your exams. - MSorglos 09:56, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- Oh... GuildWatch refers to watching guilds? I thought it meant "Guild Wars Wiki Watch" >.< How about "WikiWatch" or "Offiki"? Heh :P -- ab.er.rant 15:29, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- It originally meant watching guilds. The story behind naming my wiki programs is quite long, and started on Wikipedia. Basically, I made a mistake on one, was browsing the Wiki, and got a new message. Someone asked me why I was adding a tag to loads of random articles - it had been editing every page I looked at with no summary, and I almost got blocked >.<. Anyyyways, I decided that I had better have this one add itself to my summaries, and this name popped into my head, and it's quite fitting.
- And it could means as in watching the Wiki, so I think I might keep it ^.^ Ale_Jrb (talk) 15:33, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- If many people think like ab.er.Rant I think I have to think about my way of thinking :-)
- From that point of view GuildWatch is okay as a name, although it has no wiki or (Guild)Wars in it... - MSorglos 15:46, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

change from one-click to two-click[edit]
Is there a possibility to suppress the automatic "save page" click? As I'm not completly firm with it, I might do an error like click an option twice. If I would only get on the allready filled page and still have to click on "save page", then I can check what I'm doing and abort the action if something went wrong. Der moon 16:30, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
