May I ask why you keep reverting the image for Jora? --Santax (talk · contribs) 14:12, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

May I ask you why you do? My reasons are explained on the image talk page. The grey background image is much better than that pixelated pose with the sword. Please stop changing it. Arshay Duskbrow 02:51, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
Responded on the image talk page. --Santax (talk · contribs) 09:25, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

hai2u[edit]

Greetings and salutations, fellow herring! Be wary of the fishermen! they be nasstyy! (Read: Hai2u) NUKLEAR User NuclearVII signature 3.jpgIIV 23:43, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

I could use some input heer. Especially about rangers and pve. -- NUKLEAR User NuclearVII signature 3.jpgIIV 10:42, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
I'm not sure what you're expecting me to say. The only thing about Rangers you have on there is Escape, and you already know my take on that. (Random visitors can find it preserved here.) I feel it's inevitable though that it will be nerfed with an "ends on attack" clause. A crude and hamfisted way of destroying the "Sway" build rather than fixing the real source of the problem (overpowered dervish skills) but that's the sort of game balancing we've come to expect. (For the sake of objectivity, it should be noted that as a fanatical Ranger adherent, I am opposed to virtually any form of direct nerf against Rangers.)
I hope you realize and understand that Izzy will never read your meticulously written skill balance entries, and even if he did, it will never, ever, ever be acted upon. Which is in some way good, as I disagree with a fair portion of it. However, I will say that "One Paragon per party" is how it always should've been, and an opinion I've held since almost right after Nightfall came out. That would've been the simplest, best fix to the problem, just as the simplest, best fix to the Spiritway/Soul Reaping problem would've been to simply disable energy gain from spirit death. But as we have come to know through long experience, Anet doesn't traffic in intelligent, surgically implemented balance fixes. Rather, the nerfhammer is taken up with an eager and practiced vigor, and whatever the current problem is is beaten to a bloody death, then left to rot. Arshay Duskbrow 02:35, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
Do you like my escape change? I think that's better than killing the skill. It's also a buff, tbh.
I would very much like to know what you disagree about it.
Izzy read balance changes. I know of this. He read time's list, because time respectfully asked him to, unlike shard. He tries to ram changes up Izzy's behind, which is, to be honest, crude in itself. -- NUKLEAR User NuclearVII signature 3.jpgIIV 10:45, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
I guess you didn't understand. I didn't like your Escape change because I am not in favor of any change to the skill. For the third time, Escape is not the problem. Rending Touch and Pious Assault are. The fact that Escape has never been an issue throughout GW's three-year history until now makes it obvious the problems are the recent Dervish skill modifications. Those are what need balancing, not Escape. Arshay Duskbrow 20:19, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
Tbh, my change is a buff to escape. Hmm. As a parting shot, however, the argument of "It was fine for 3 years" was used in SR discussions, and yet SR was never fine. Escape is nothing short of invulnerability to damage, since rangers don't take elemental damage and escape kills melee. Meh. -- NUKLEAR User NuclearVII signature 3.jpgIIV 09:27, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
I try to "ram changes up izzys behind" because I was asking politely for the first 1.5 years of GW, and look what happened. One way didn't work so I switched to another. Apparently nothing gets through to him. ~Shard (talk) 21:59, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
Gee Shard, just how did you manage to find your way here? :P Arshay Duskbrow 01:25, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
I see all, hear all, and know all. ~Shard User Shard Sig Icon.png 06:05, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Glass Arrows[edit]

Hello, I've recently seen the Expert's Dexterity talk page and you don't seem to like the new PvP version of it. I recently added my own comments because so many people make me lol and say "ZOMFG NO GOOD RANGER ELITE NEMO /GIVEUP." I respect you highly because you seem to be very devoted to the Ranger class, as I am to the Necromancer class. Anet has made many changes to the Necromancer's Soul Reaping which I highly disapprove of myself, but I deal with Anet because even throughout these nerfs Anet makes things better, or always had a back up plan they're waiting for someone to exploit on some sort of builds website. This is true for just about every class except Necromancers. 1. Vampiric Spirit was an excuse for OTHER classes to stay alive by the means of tanking, because Necromancers have no real use for that, Necromancers give death, staying alive is a monk's job. 2. Life Transfer, just because Anet made it take health bips from adjacent targets too doesn't make it any better. Than 01:52, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Do you ever open up obs? -Auron 01:53, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Yes I do actually, it's a separate icon on my game window. Than 23:49, 11 November 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for your remarks. I couldn't make much sense of them, but they were fun to read. >_> I am certainly a Ranger fanatic, and have never hidden my bias in that regard... Arshay Duskbrow 04:00, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
So what is your opinion on Glass Arrows + Lightning Reflexes? In my opinion, that's a pretty damn good combination. And a R/N can't hurt, it'll only prevent them from blocking, strip enchants, weaken their amror, along with something such as Brutal Weapon would be deadly. Several people rely on the whole Conjure Flame + Kindle Arrows builds now-a-days as I'm seeing. Than 04:16, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
Glass Arrows is a garbage elite. Use Read the Wind. Couldn't understand the rest of that, but Conjure+Kindle is also lame. Arshay Duskbrow 05:48, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
I love you Arshay. -Auron 13:19, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
Quit trolling Arshay. It's getting boring already.
QQing by anons makes me LOL. Thanks for brightening my day. :D Arshay Duskbrow 16:57, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
Glass arrows is not garbage. Read the wind is good though.

re:rtw[edit]

i'll take your stuff. -Auron 02:17, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

Auron, you've probably got way better stuff than I do. :P Anyway, it's too painful to dismantle the work of years. I did that once before in a MUD I played for a long, long time, and I always regretted it afterward. Besides, who am I kidding. I'll still be sticking my head in once in a while, maybe after updates, but I really don't feel much like playing anymore. RtW was just the moment of truth. Arshay Duskbrow 04:56, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

Gone forever?[edit]

RtW isn't getting reverted, the bonus damage made rangers too powerful on spikes. It's called balance, the weak can't adapt to it. 82.34.128.19 15:22, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

Lol. I can't imagine how bored someone would have to be to troll the user page of an obscure, inactive player. Protip: The RtW nerf was due to Turret Rangers, which are pressure, not spike, and the only reason it was overpowered was because of Flail, which was also nerfed for non-Warriors. It was overkill on Anet's part, and a bedrock Ranger skill was destroyed in the process. Now run along and play. Arshay Duskbrow 04:01, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
So you're telling me omegaspike and rawrspike is pressure. Yeye 82.34.128.19 15:13, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
Rts buffed majoryly so...you gonna come back? Zachariah Zuan. 11:12, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
I'm afraid I don't know what you're talking about. Arshay Duskbrow 23:49, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
