- He's an infamous troll who talked his way around the admins loads of times. Just look through his contributions. Calor 20:55, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
- So he was banned for a year, wow.... I read the enitire aberation and I think it was a good choice. I am just wondering if u caught all of his IPs lol --Shadowphoenix 21:19, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
- i still think raptors is actually a nice guy. it's a shame he decided to make an arbcom case his goal. - Y0_ich_halt 19:20, 15 March 2008 (UTC)

Sysop
I am really thinking about starting another RfA for you, I don't understand why you have not been promoted yet :P. --Shadowphoenix 02:43, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
- because we don't need more sysops. - Y0_ich_halt 11:26, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

- most people seem to feel different... - Y0_ich_halt 14:00, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
- It's not because we don't need any more sysops - otherwise Galil, me and Tanetris probably wouldn't have been promoted - but because some people disagreed with Calor being a sysop. It's up to Calor if he wants another RfA, but I think you should get his opinion before nominating him. -- Brains12 \ Talk 14:46, 21 March 2008 (UTC)

- Thanks for the offer, Shadowphoenix, but no. Not at this point in time, at least. The last RfA helped me realize what I was doing wrong, and I don't think I've... matured, for lack of a better term, on the wiki enough. Calor 14:58, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) When there is an RfA open, people don't vote dependant on if another sysop is needed. That maybe applies when nominating one, but not when there is an active RfA.. Atm it is - imo - that we don't need more sysops. It's not that there is too much work, and I don't think there is a sysop who does too much. - Of course every sysop is welcome, even if we don't need them, it is not a problem to have more sysops than needed; so when there is a good person for that job, just start the nomination! poke | talk 15:05, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
- If I were u poke I would check GWW:RFA someone has been nominated :o) --Shadowphoenix 15:08, 21 March 2008 (UTC)
- (Edit conflict) Thanks Poke :). I think things will be all calm and well for the next four months or so, then GW2 will start becoming part of our daily lives (which means no once-a-day GW2W RC checking). Then the sysops will effectively have close to double the work to deal with. Maybe I'll consider an RfA then, when more sysops are truly needed, assuming they are, but not before then. Support
Thanks again Calor for the vote of confidence in my RfA. I know what it's like to be evaluated by the community, and it feels good for me. I've realized what is missing, and I'll work hard to try to capture new goals set for myself. --People of Antioch talk 17:18, 30 March 2008 (UTC)
- Heh, no problem :). Everyone has their flaws, and their assets, and all I did was evaluate them and decide the assets slightly outweighed the flaws. Calor 18:53, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Elections
A few quick questions before the elections get here (I am going to try to ask each sysop and users, who imo deserve it, these questions):
- If you were nominated would you accept?
- If so, Do you believe that you would make a good bcrat?
- Would you be able to make wise choices when it comes to selecting administrators?
- Would you be sure to explain your actions when using your powers as a bcrat?
- Would you wear you status as a bcrat as a badge?
- Would you consider policy before taking any and all actions?
- How do feel towards our wikis community?
That should be enough. Thanks! --Shadowphoenix 21:41, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
Very interesting questions.
- At this point in time, I would decline any nomination.
- I wish I could say yes, but no.
- Probably, but I feel others are more familiar with the community and would be able to make more informed and safer decisions.
- Yes, because I usually plan out my actions and have reasons for most things I do (at least when it isn't 2 AM :P).
- No, because extra user rights isn't supposed to be used any sort of "trump card", and I'm not that cocky and arrogant.
- Yes, for major decisions. Some actions are so simple and can easily be fixed, or are no-brainer decisions that I feel I wouldn't need to consult policy to back my decision.
- I feel the "elite" users of our community are a bit stiff, and could relax a bit, and that the active but not "elite" users (for lack of other differentiating terms) are laid-back but serious enough to be a healthy core for the wiki. Together, they get a lot done and gel fairly well together (Everyone has their arguments at times).
Thanks for the questions, they've helped me step back and see what I think of our wiki. Calor 00:02, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
