Jotuns[edit]
FFs you people need to stop being dumb. Unlike everyone else who assumed jotuns are giants, I've actually gone out and done testing with 3 axes that are exactly the same. a normal axe, a giantslaying 20% axe, and an ogreslaying 20% axe. The normal axe and giantslaying axe did the same damage, whilst the ogreslaying did +9 damage. Tested using wild blow 3 times on the same jotun, on each type of jotun. Yes, they are "giant-like" creatures, due to anti-knockdown and use of giant stomp, however Turai Ossa also employs these skills. 76.175.144.6
- Don't be rude to me. If you'd just said that you'd tested it, and that you'd back it up with screenshots, then it wouldn't have been a problem. Congrats, you tested it, upload the screenshots as proof and don't be rude to other wiki users. kthxbai. Elysea 00:10, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
- Or you could employ the wiki standard of "assume good faith" rather than reverting something that you had no idea if it was correct or not just because you felt like it.76.175.144.6
- LOLOL Okay, yeah, I did it because I 'felt like it.' Not because, like Vili said, IP edits like yours (or wipes of the entire page) aren't suspicious in the least. I made a mistake. You didn't have to come here and insult me and anyone else who may have made the same mistake. You could have just said, "Hey, stop reverting this please, I have proof." You didn't need to call us all dumb. :) Elysea 01:19, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, but I shouldn't need proof in the first place, as it's fairly obvious if you realized that loot determines race, not skills used. Yeah, they have properties similar to giants, but Ettins in EoTN drop jotun loot, and Ettins are Notorious Ogres. Which means that if Ogres are dropping Jotun loot, Jotuns must therefore be Ogres. There was no proof in the first place to suggest that they were Giants, just speculation.76.175.144.6
- When more than one person obviously disputes a stated viewpoint, proof tends to help settle the argument. I have, in however many months I've been playing, never once seen Ettins in EN drop Jotun loot. That is MY experience in EN. I'm not arguing whether or not Jotuns are Ogres; apparently they are. Okay then. I've admitted I was wrong. What I'm arguing is your calling us dumb and stubborn for not automatically accepting your viewpoint without question.
Also, why bring this to my page? I notice that you weren't this rude on anyone else's. I'm curious as to why you singled me out. Also, see: GWW:1RR Elysea 04:29, 14 June 2009 (UTC)- Boredom, mainly. Also I wasn't reverting, I was re-editing. :P But I'd break GWW:1RR if I'm 110% posative that the edit is correct anyway. Not the point. Also, don't try and get me with GWW:NPA because I was generalizing "you people" and not singling out a person. Why I took this to you? Again, dunno. boredom. You actually had a page instead of the other people. Though I did take it to one other person's page and had a discussion with them about it. :D
- Lena, is that you? In any case, I wasn't going to bring up GWW:NPA at any point, though, after looking at it, I still think your comments would fall under it. You're attacking the editors, rather than the content. And yes, you did bring it to King's page, however, you were far less rude to him than you were to me. It's a shame, really. I'm actually very understanding too, but instead of coming here and being polite, you started out with an insult. Also, it's spelled 'positive.' And sign your comments, please. Elysea 11:06, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
- Oh, and I'm done with this. I have Lightbringer points to grind. Elysea 11:06, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

Image Cache[edit]
Just an FYI, due to server image cache issues, it often takes hours if not days for an image to resolve itself after it's been changed. Continuing to reupload or revert it simply makes this problem worse. Please have patience. Thanks! -- Wyn 04:33, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
Oh, I'm sorry! XD I've actually never used a Wiki before, and totally messed it up and was trying to fix it, my mistake, :) I didn't know, thank you for telling me, I'll leave it alone, :) My apologies! :( --Elysea 04:38, 20 March 2009 (UTC)
- No worries. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me, any helper, check out our Help center, or post a question on our Help:Ask a wiki question page. Happy Wiki-ing! -- Wyn 04:50, 20 March 2009 (UTC)

Your "You Know You Play Guild Wars Too Much When" absolutely killed me! -- Wyn 09:18, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
- I'm glad it made you laugh. :D I cracked up too, and so did my boyfriend when I told him, XD I think all the Elite-capping is going to my brain though... ;_; Elysea 00:23, 19 May 2009 (UTC)
Crying[edit]
If Shard told me I had the IQ of a chair, I would /lol. I deal with a bunch of stupids every day (have you seen my trig class?) and I've been a sysop on PvX; someone thinking I'm bad is absolutely nothing new to me. If he had tried to make me cry irl, I would also /lol because there'd be something like a 99% chance it wouldn't work for the reasons stated above. If he actually, somehow, amazingly, managed to succeed, I would just kick him in the e-balls and call it a night. My opinion about Kim is that if she couldn't handle a well-known troll trolling her on the internet, she shouldn't have been on the internet. -- Armond Warblade{{Bacon}} 14:10, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
GWW:1RR[edit]
Don't worry, you can revert yourself all day long. Although, please don't, as that would get kind of annoying in the recent changes log. :) Freedom Bound 14:53, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
- Phew, thanks for telling me. I promise, no revert spamming, :D I've just been failing all over the Wiki today. XD Elysea 14:55, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
Cynn cons[edit]
So what, you think cynn sucks cause she cant cause bleeding and poison? I specifically added burning since what else would you expect from a fire elemenalist? And saying she has only one defense skill, AoR, is just stupid since it IS a defense skill. How many defense skills would be acceptable for an AI character whoes main purpose is dmg? I did how add that she has overkill on energy management. AoR, Fire Attune, GoLE, and her ELITE Mind Blast. 3 of her 4 dmg skills arnt spammable and one is a glorified flare. Nothing on her bar merits that kind of energy management. So that is why I edited the cons section, and that is why i reverted it back after some else reverted my edit. I will let you decide since im not going to do a revert war. Justice 08:03, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
- Personally, I think Cynn sucks for other reasons, and that's why I bring Herta instead. And I'd say that Meteor Shower DEFINITELY requires more energy management, but on the others... I don't know. They're decently spammable, but at 10 energy a pop, they're a drain when combined with MS. In the spirit of good faith, I'll revert my edits, but I leave it up to the Wiki for the final decision. Elysea 13:48, 23 July 2009 (UTC)
The reason I dont think those spells cause much energy burn is simply there recharge. Liquid Flame is 15sec, meteor shower is 60sec. Fireball is the most spamable spell she has that costs something (Mind Blast pays for itself) at 7sec recharge. With Attunement and AoR she gets 2e + 30%e back for every spell which drastically reduces her spell casting cost. With those two alone her running out of energy would take a while, yet she gets Mind Blast which nets her at least +2e against most foes and GoLE. Mark of Rodgort would have probably been better then Mind Blast. I do agree that cynn is kind of a sad choice to take but i hate Herta for the fact she uses Sandstorm which makes it so the tank cant hold agro worth a shit which sadly makes herta's wards more necessary. I prefer the two monks and Eve + Zho. Im not too sure on Zho simply because she has zero energy management and 3 of her attack skills cost 10e and 1 at 15e. Unsure of how high expertise is simply because she runs with troll unguent which means she would have to split attributes 3 ways. Any how some of my veiws on EoTN henchies if your curious. Thankyou for reverting, if someone else does come in and change it then my cons probably were a bit off. gl and hf Justice 06:25, 24 July 2009 (UTC)
Thoughts on GW[edit]
Couldn't agree with you more :D --Soulforged 09:09, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
- Aww, I'm glad someone out there agrees with the stuff I've seen. XD I'll probably keep adding to it as I play more PvP. Elysea 17:40, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
You do realize...[edit]
You're arguing is a useless effort. If they can't grasp that Rangers are a support role (as in: not DAMAGE DAMAGE DAMAGE), then they can't begin to comprehend the complexity of MelShot and why it's strong, even with an additional 4 seconds tacked on to the recharge. --Riddle 05:06, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
- I suppose you're right. I had a futile hope that they might understand that MelShot isn't broken beyond repair with the extra seconds, and that Burning Arrow isn't the only good Ranger elite out there, but... I very much appreciate the reality slap, :) Elysea 05:28, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

- SAVAGE AND DSHOT HAVE SHORT RECHARGES SO YOU CAN DO MORE DAMAGES GUYZ -- Armond Warblade{{Bacon}} 05:40, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
- There's nothing such as "the only good ranger elite" imo BA and MA are good but sure not the best ranger elites, there are so many different & good elites out there --Soulforged 17:27, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

Quote[edit]
You said: ... ... I'm grateful for the honest critique. XD It's nice to know what's wrong and what's right with the screenies, rather than, "OMGSOKAWAII!" or "This sucks," or other unhelpful stuff.
I know winning one screenshot contest (not even first place) a couple years ago, on another website entirely doesn't give me a Master's degree on in-game screenshotting. But I figure I'm better than most since I love taking photos of several other games as well. And I wanted to share my experience with others.-- anguard 22:38, 1 September 2009 (UTC)
- To be honest, when it comes to art, be it paintings or screenshots or whatever the medium is, I believe that you don't have to be SOOPER-UBER qualified with credentials and degrees to know and understand what works and what doesn't. Minor tl;dr ahead, sorry. XD People don't have to be awesome at art to see if something's wrong with a picture, or if something's right. If the proportions are off, if the perspective is wrong, if the skin looks plasticy or a shield doesn't quite match the surrounding environment, one doesn't have to be an art expert to notice it. They might not be able to produce what a perfect picture would look like, but they can still tell when something's either right or wrong. So... tl;dr, it's more than okay if you don't have a gazillion years of screenshotting experience under your belt, you know what works, and you know what doesn't, and you give awesome feedback and critique. (I hope this made sense. Most of this was brought to you by alcohol). Elysea 04:52, 2 September 2009 (UTC)

"led-by-Scythe witch-hunt"[edit]
ive asked numerous times on at least 3 talk pages for people not to call it a "crusade" witch hunt falls under the same category. So, stop it. — Scythe 22:05, 2 Sep 2010 (UTC)
- It's a perfectly reasonable phrase, and to be honest, it's hard to keep track of whose talk pages you've said that on. And crusade != witch hunt. Good luck trying to turn this into some form of harassment too. Elysea 22:09, 2 September 2010 (UTC)
