Welcome Back[edit]
Let this poor anon welcome you back here in this hellhole with a header. Remember Izzy, you have a hard job, you are working on two things which will be critsized mercilessly by us elitists who can't appeciate you. You are the best.
Also, try not to ignore what readem may say, but ignore how he says it.

- Lol, it's not that bad. Feedback is just a silly thing if not focused properly it becomes a big mess of screaming where the good points are lost in a sea of feedback. ~Izzy @-'----
- Welcome back. I hope you can find a way, because we all want GW2 to be finished soon, but we also love to chat with you. Nicky Silverstar 08:14, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
Assassin Test[edit]
Very to the point - are you wanting people not to comment then on the claims a poster makes? The back and forth *can* generate ideas, but it often results in people simply taking opposite sides. You might be right that simply stating the issue, and a proposed solution, with no discussion would be best. And welcome back! --Epinephrine 20:10, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
- Well I mainly wanted to move the discussion away from the origional post, you should be able to still go look at the discussion but it wouldn't flood the original point. Mainly I'm trying to separate the feedback to me and discussion about that person feedback.~Izzy @-'---- 20:25, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
- By the looks of it, the main issue is stated on the main page, the discussion of that issue is on the talk page. -- Brains12 \ Talk 20:11, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
- Exactly, this way I can respond to the issue without having to filter through pages of discussion, it creates a more direct feedback from person to me, while still allowing for conversation and discussion to happen. ~Izzy @-'---- 20:25, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

- Basically, you mean when you can manage to find a better way to set things up so that your incompitence and complete and utter lack of knowledge about the game and skills, isn't quite as obvious? ;) I guess if it was my fault that the game has gone so far down hill and lost so many players beause of the constand addition of limitations and the vast majority of skills that were once usable being Nerfed to the point of being useless, I wouldn't want people to realise it either. Good luck on continuing to try and hide all your screw-ups. ;) --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:67.159.44.138 (talk).
- Can you actually delete skills from the server?Prokiller88 22:08, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
- They should. The once hundreds of great skills has been reduced to so few now, might as well delete the ones he destroyed instead of leaving them there, leaving all those useless skills just shows how bad a job he has done. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:67.159.44.138 (talk).
- I'll jump out on a limb and guess you thought the old incoming was cool, along with eurospike, SF spikes and "lol, instagib" assassins (ofc, those still work, just not quite so well) Lord of all tyria 22:14, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
- LOL, no, not realy. They were okay, sure, there were great counters to all of those but people were too pathetic to use them, so they got nerfed. I however, pre-date all that crap. I was playing in early 2005 when you could actually grab a bunch of different skills from your character that looked like fun to play, and have them actually useful. The limitations of only so few usable skills these days is depressing compaired to back then. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:67.159.44.138 (talk).

Izzy Green Text[edit]
I've been debating marking all my text in green so it's easier for everyone to see my responces, but this seems a bit over the top and I could see how it could be annoying, Thoughts? ~Izzy @-'---- 23:14, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
- would be better if you just made your signature look disturbing, right now its kinda hard to find --Cursed Angel 23:33, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
- Wouldn't it be a bit of a hassle to write out the code every time you respond? I agree with CA, making your signature a little more obvious would maybe go towards the same effect. -- Brains12 \ Talk 23:41, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
- A different color for the signature might work nicely, but then again, it would need to be some sort of color that other people don't use much. Green text wouldn't be too annoying, I don't think, but like Brains mentioned, that's even more hassle for you. If you need to write out two lines of code for every comment, that's yet another thing that might discourage you from posting. Just something that's not blue, black, or white should do fine for a signature, in my opinion... -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 00:26, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

- I'm pretty sure ArenaNet members can go over policy considering it's their website. Heck, Gaile is violating GWW:USER and no one has said a word to her about it. — ク Eloc 貢 02:22, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- How is Gaile violating USER? Oh, and I highly doubt ArenaNet could violate a policy just because they are ArenaNet. -- Brains12 \ Talk 02:28, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- They own the site, but the admins and policies aren't theirs. I'm sure they could get banned just like anyone else, if for some reason they did some bannable offense (like if Gaile suddenly started vandalizing pages, hehe.) -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 05:53, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

- Gaile uses purple text and a purple icon, which really stands out among other icons. Maybe you could do the same...how about a flame of balthazar icon, maybe highlighted a bit. I'm sure I could make something like that for you wanted it (or maybe someone else, who is far better with photoshop than I am). Nicky Silverstar 07:39, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- Photoshop is expensive. For small pictures where you're altering things pixel by pixel anyway, gogo ms paint. (Is there any advantage I'm not missing, though? I'm curious.) -- Armond Warblade 07:52, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- I think a "developer" or "associate" text color would go a long way towards helping people filter out the nonsense. Gaile's purple-pink text in-game is especially helpful, although for different reasons. I look for you in responses, but find I tend to overlook where you've said something. Having a general color for anyone "important" as far as viable feedback goes, within ANet or the wiki operations itself would be highly appropriate. --Reklaw 08:50, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- If you do decide to change your text color, may I suggest "navy" or a close equivalent (i.e. #000066) - it's different enough to stand out for someone skimming the page, but still dark enough to be nearly equivalent to black-on-white for contrast and readability. Navy would also work better in terms of being less likely to be problematic for colorblind users.
- As far as policy goes, I don't think it would be a violation - it doesn't make it difficult for people to leave you messages, which is the only formatting restriction laid out in GWW:USER. (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 09:27, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- I feel the above suggestion of changing your signature would be the easiest and least problematic way to go about it. --Xeeron 13:09, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- I just meant photo editting in general, and photoshop was the first thing that came into mind. My offer still stands though. Nicky Silverstar 13:15, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Izzy, I think you may need to tick the "Raw signatures" box just under the nickname field ;) (and also, new comments should generally go at the bottom of topics, but just indented with an extra : to indicate who are you are responding to) -- Brains12 \ Talk 19:13, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Ok I need to get some other stuff done, but I put up a sample of the formate I'm thinking about enforcing, checkout it in the overpowered skills section under the Assassin Test, the main goal here is to move the Discussion away from the issue so I can quickly see what someone is talking about, I don't have time to have deep discussion about every skill int he game with 20+ people but if properly formated I can at least respond to someones idea. I feel like the discussion is becoming so large that my ability to respond just gets lost. Anyway let me know what you think. ~Izzy @-'---- 19:26, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

I'd vote for merging the paragon with the warrior, merging the ritu with the necro, and merging the assassin with the ranger and give them all new names, the dervish concept is pretty useless anyway, looks cool but is useless. --Cursed Angel 16:25, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

I'm around some today I'll try and pike around with some wiki stuff and see what I get done. ~Izzy @-'---- 22:54, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
- I think the Para, Derv, Sin and Rit could all be made to work in GW2. The problem with them in GW is that ANET had the PvP formats all balanced around the original classes and skillset. Then they added stuff and it broke. Big surprise. I trust you guys to do it right from the ground up in GW2, Izzy. =) --TimeToGetIntense 14:21, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
- I sure hope Mesmers are coming back. My only request is that they be made more viable for universal play, as the balance changes hurt the PvE value of the class way too much across time. Izzy, you did say Mesmers are a personal favorite of yours. Some love in GW2 would be ultimate win. TristanDark84 21:58, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
New format for skill sections?[edit]
First of all, welcome back. It's good to see someone from Anet who actually responds to fan feedback...sometimes.
Anyway, I noticed you have a page: User:Isaiah_Cartwright/Assassin/Augury of Death
Is this going to be how skill sections are divided up? Seems to cut down on page sizes, especially for professions with tons of posts (monk). Shard 08:20, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
- This is actually being discussed above; the main intent of these subpages is to get them readable for Izzy, so things don't get buried. Thus, a short, concise introduction as to the skill and its problem(s), and everything else on the discussion page. Feel free to point out the pros and cons you see above. -- Armond Warblade 08:41, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
