Confused :P[edit]

I am wondering how I create a new page from scratch... I have managed to edit a few pages and apparently they were approved :D Sweet! But now I want to create an entirely new page in the Guild section, how do I do that? Can't find any "New Page" button :P

Hi there, and welcome to Guild Wars Wiki! Hopefully you'll enjoy yourself, and stay to help make it an ever better reference source for Guild Wars :).
On a Wiki, no edits need to be approved. You can edit away, whatever you like, to improve what is already there (don't forget to follow all the policies though!). To create a new page, go to the page you want to go create (I might create Guild:Ale_Jrb is cool) and start editing! Before creating your guild page, please read our guild policy that will help you get started.
If you have any other questions, you can place them here, or on my talk page and someone will get you an answer. I also suggest reading GWW:WELCOME as it provides lots of hints on getting started.
Enjoy yourself! Ale_Jrb (talk) 09:11, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
I moved your Guild article to guild namespace. You can find it here. -MSorglos 10:33, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
Thank you. How do I make my guild appear in the categories I have stated? And the "Swedish guilds" don't even exist :P The PvE Guild page says 178 articles, how do I post an article there? The same way I created this page and then connect it to the category somehow? Jareth Darderian 10:54, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
The guild will be automatically added. If it isn't displaying yet, don't worry - the system just hasn't updated. Ale_Jrb (talk) 10:55, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
Aha ok, so I just create page and "tag" it with the apropriate ... tag :P And then the wiki will browse it and put it in the correct page? Therefor later today the PvE Guild page will say 179 articles? Did I understand it correctly? If I did - cool! Jareth Darderian 10:59, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
Yep, something like this :D Ale_Jrb (talk) 11:43, 29 May 2007 (UTC)

Contributions[edit]

Hi, noticed your comment in Talk:Halls of Chokhin. Just to let you know that you do not need to list down what you edited. Your changes can easily be seen via the history link at the top of every page. The talk page is more a place where discussions take place. -- ab.er.rant sig 09:06, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

Oh... eh... I knew that ;) He he, thx for the info, will keep it in mind :) Jareth Darderian 09:08, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

User Image: User.Jareth.Darderian.jpg[edit]

The image you recently uploaded (Image:User.Jareth.Darderian.jpg) does not comply with the Guild Wars Wiki user image naming policy and has been tagged for deletion. Feel free to re-upload the image under a correct name. Thanks, — Rapta (talk|contribs) 02:00, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

The image have been taken care of, thanks for pointing it out :) I'm still learning, and it's a lot to learn :P Jareth Darderian 08:59, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

NPC Locations[edit]

Could someone pls tell me the difference between NPC location|Ember Light Camp|outpost and NPC location|D'Alessio Seaboard|outpost ??? The one for Adriel in D'Alessio works just fine while the Ember Light Camp for Danlieb doesn't :S Jareth Darderian 07:24, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

Simple. Because the 2nd parameter of the {{NPC location}} template is only necessary if a disambiguation identifier exists. For Ember Light Camp, there's no "(outpost)" suffix because it's just an outpost and no mission attached to it. D'Alessio Seaboard (outpost) has an "(outpost)" attached because D'Alessio Seaboard is a mission, and mission currently has priority over the mission outpost, so the "outpost" parameter for Danlieb is needed for it to correctly link to the outpost instead of the mission. (And I fixed Danlieb.) -- ab.er.rant sig 08:10, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

Sorry[edit]

Accidentally reverted your page! Hopefully fixed it! Psy Doll [DNRC] 12:48, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

Ah well, those things happen :P It's not the end of the world ^^ If you're referring to my user or talk page, they look just fine :) Jareth Darderian 15:48, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

Screenshots[edit]

Hi, I just added {{arenanet image}} to a number of screenshots you uploaded recently. If possible, just add the {{arenanet image}}-tag to the comment right when you upload screenshots. By doing this, the images are put under the correct license. Thanks :) User Der moon sig.png Der moon 15:51, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

Hi. Ok, sure no problem... What you mean like in the Summary? He he, I'm eager to help, but I haven't quite got all the pieces of the puzzle together yet :P Jareth Darderian 15:58, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
Yes, of course, it's called Summary - sorry for the confusion. An other thing: I just saw Poke removing the maps at the NPC pages you recently added. Some time ago I read about maps for NPCs and the concensus was, that maps for NPCs are only needed if they are out of a town or outpost. I can't tell you where I read this, but I think it's not of this importance. Just for your knowledge to let you know whats getting on. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. :) User Der moon sig.png Der moon 16:27, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
Ah ok, so you're suggesting NPC's in citys don't need maps? Cool, 1 thing less to do when creating those endless new pages :P. Ty for the intel. Jareth Darderian 18:11, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
