Heh it lasted 45 minutes, guess people don't visit it as often as they used to :( --Kakarot Talk 17:53, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

Hiya!

I'm a "new" user to wiki and just wanted to sai hi ^^. Sentry007 User Sentry007 sig.png 19:11, 12 April 2009 (UTC)

Hi, I need a little help with images.

Yeh i keep brakin the Image Policys, how do i name them properly because it dosent give me an option to put them in User Space sometimes, so do i just go User: before the image name?

Thanks. -- Yo Jm Talk to me 18:59, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

You simply name your images "User Yo Jm <some name>.jpg", just as you did with your signature image: File:User Yo Jm Sig.png. poke | talk 22:31, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
It's as Poke said. However when uploading an image there are two methods that you can make use of to make sure an image is uploaded under the correct naming convention, the second being the easier of the two: firstly you can make use of the Destination filename section of the file upload page to change the name of the image so that it follows the formatting mentioned. The second and as mentioned easier method is to create the link first then upload the image using the created red link. Hope that helps :) --Kakarot Talk 05:01, 30 April 2009 (UTC)

Ok Thanks :) -- Yo Jm Talk to me 06:38, 30 April 2009 (UTC)

dunno how to add my data to a page

Hi, and thanks for any help you can give me. I'd like to add my drop info to the Gift Of The Traveler page, but have no idea how to do it. How do those boxes appear, that seperate the entries on the line? - example, I 50 I 20 I 5 I 15 I . I used a capital i as my example. Or do people just write it out, like "I got 20 stones and 5 tonics"? I'll be online for a couple of hours more. --Lookingaround2 19:04, 30 April 2009 (UTC)

Keep up the good work!

Hello! I am currently using your character expansion and all of its sub-templates on my characters (or am going to) and I love them! Their clean, and the expansion template is small so I can use that along with other smaller templates. I definitely am a fan of your template work. Keep it up! Moo 21:16, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

Thanks and if you have any suggestions on improvements or a new template just drop by :) --Kakarot Talk 04:29, 14 May 2009 (UTC)

Survivor

Aww, that is always a bad situation when your survivor dies too early :( I got my Ritualist to lvl 3 by playing the game normal, too. I played with guild friend through all missions in Cantha and Tyria and half of the Elona ones to finally have enough experience. Luckily my rt never died after level 6 - I had it die 2 times on Shing Jea due to being stupid (like casting Generous Was Tsungrai to heal myself with only ~30 HP...); but I think dying is part of the route to the Lengendary Survivor, so if you still want the title, you should just try it again :) poke | talk 06:27, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

You could try the easier but far more grinding way. Do the Kilroy boxing in HM/NM. Even though it will nearly takes ages scrolls helps wear off the repetitiveness. Tip: Stop after the eddin so that 4k exp is quickly netted. Dominator Matrix 06:32, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
Farming for the title is boring and doesn't give the same feeling, that you really achieved the title, as normal play does... That is the reason why I didn't farm it in the first place. One from my guild did survivor later within 3 days by farming, and it was boring as hell.. poke | talk 06:34, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
Well my "farmed" Led Survivor Ritualist took me more then 1 year, due to the repetitiveness. Its not the best option for all, but its good to use to finish up that way you don't end up with a almost done dead survivor. For the record I tried it 4 times before I achieved it. Dominator Matrix 06:38, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
Guess I will just have to try again next time I create a character, although that probably won't be for a while since at the moment I'd like to actually finish more with my current ones ... still have yet to have even one character finish all campaigns or even to have each campaign finished on any character. Considering all the things I hadn't done before, the main two being not having played that campaign or that profession before I was as I mentioned really surprised that I made it even that far. My actual goal to start off with was only to get to rank 1 survivor, then if I would have got that far it would turn to rank 2 and then later to rank 3. Although one thing that I had completely forgotten about was scrolls since throughout the time I had been playing I don't think I used any even though I had a few in my chest or on one of my other characters.
As to your suggestion DM, that was actualy something I've always tried to avoid when I've thought of going for survivor; since I have thought of it previously, just that this was my first attempt; since as Poke mentioned it doesn't give the same satisfaction as gaining it by normal play does.
Anyway I should really start getting ready for work; ugh working on a holiday with this kind of weather really sucks although I have to say I do look forward to the pay (triple time) :D --Kakarot Talk 11:01, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
Just wait until you lose one at 90% of r3. Then grind might not look so bad. Backsword 16:45, 18 May 2009 (UTC)
Yea, losing mine halfway to r2 was already enough to get me depressed. Losing the second one at almost the same XP but at exactly the same place made me wanna kill someone back then, lol. -- ab.er.rant User Ab.er.rant Sig.png 00:16, 21 May 2009 (UTC)

One more question

Not sure if you're still around tonight, but is it possible to make the background of a table cell an image? I know how to do it in html, but that's not working here. Do I have to use a div container? If I do, could you explain how to do that? I just need a simple five-character string to appear on top of a background graphic, so nothing too intensive. Thanks! :D --KOKUOU 07:06, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

See this example (I think this is the most linked revision on the whole wiki :/) poke | talk 07:28, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
LOL Poke, you should just make a help page with it. --Wyn's Talk page Wyn 07:49, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
Well looks like you already got this answered already. Funny how I answer your question on Pokes page and he answers yours on mine. --Kakarot Talk 10:36, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
Hehe, well, as long as someone is there to answer for us less-knowledgeable wikicoder wannabes, then it's all good. By the way, both things I wanted to do worked out perfectly, so hats off to both you and poke! ;) --KOKUOU 10:39, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
Good to hear :) Also nice job on the mini template :) --Kakarot Talk 10:43, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for the help with the image I think get it now but if you see any problem with the image tell me which one and if you want also help me again :P TKS

You're welcome, it's an easy mistake to make when you first start and also an easy one to fix. If you ever have a question feel free to drop by again, ask any other helper or make use of the Ask a wiki question page and you should get help fairly quickly :)
Also when you leave a message use either four tildes (~~~~ or the signature button Button sig.png above the edit box to include your signature at the end of your comment. --Kakarot Talk 03:58, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

That made me double-take for some reason....until I saw what you were talking about. I think. --User Wandering Traveler Sig2.png Wandering Traveler 03:55, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

You mean the edit summary or what I wrote on the noticeboard? --Kakarot Talk 03:58, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
Yeah. ><. Also, indents ftw. :P --User Wandering Traveler Sig2.png Wandering Traveler 03:58, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
Originally I was going to put the edit summary as "The Terminator 4 Salvations" as the person who had been reported had done but then I decided to see if anyone would revert my edit without realizing if I used "Removing all content from page" instead. Also I could of sworn I had indented but the wiki seems to have eaten my colon. --Kakarot Talk 04:08, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
Let's not discuss the eating of colons here ;D SarielV 20 x 20px 06:00, 28 June 2009 (UTC)
Love the edit summary there :D poke | talk 12:41, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
Heh very nice Poke, it's just too bad about the whole (+143) that shows up in wl/rc XD --Kakarot Talk 13:21, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
All very evil. Unfortunatly, I'd read this topic earlier.Wonder if anyone buys it? Backsword 13:45, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
Doubt it. -Auron 13:51, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

*goes home crying* --User Wandering Traveler Sig2.png Wandering Traveler 05:38, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

Hi Kakarot! We have been taking a break from GW but our guild remained alive. Now, we would love to bring it back, but our guild is set as "historical" and it is said to be used for reference only. Is there a way to move it back to active guilds? Thank you very much from an avid GW fan.

Have a good day!

Lord Thorzilla

Done. In the future, if it winds up archived again, you can move it yourself by clicking the move button at the top of the page (to the right of the edit and history buttons). Of course, better still is to keep it from getting archived by making a small edit every few months. - Tanetris 19:41, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

registering

ok thought it was register since wyn and a couple others had helped me set it up. I don't know how to register it. does our guild page need to be registered too and the other guild members pages? I thought it was registered when the account or accounts were created. What do I need to do and How?--User Jenniffercohen sig.pngJenn 13:20, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

I found the register account on the home page, clicked the link and it just ook me back to my sign in page and had me sign in again.--User Jenniffercohen sig.pngJenn 13:32, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

Did you get my email?

Sorry, i had people sending emails to me turned off so you probally tried to reply but you couldn't, please email back now :) --Yo Jm Talk to me 16:09, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

Sorry, I got your message too late due to work to respond before now (which is too late to actually do what you wanted). --Kakarot Talk 10:53, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

Thanks :D

Thanks for helping :D Just to let you know, I've not been worried about the spaces in the image names, especially if they are older images. I'm not saying you should stop, just saying it's not a huge issue :D But yeah, I've been also taking this opportunity to get some of the tagging/naming issues cleaned up as well. -- Wyn User Wynthyst sig icon2.png talk 00:22, 1 July 2009 (UTC)

No problem Wyn, happy to help :)
As to the spaces, I had first thought not to bother but since I started at the very end of the category; which I assume is what you are also using; to reduce conflicts with anyone else currently working on this. That and the fact that it synergizes (is that even a word or would synergies be the correct one?) well with one of my main maintenance tasks anyway I figured I'd get it done in one go although I think I'm going to take a break and get some GW done if possible ... that and I need some maintenance from Poke *beep beep* :P --Kakarot Talk 00:37, 1 July 2009 (UTC)
