RfA

Nominated you for SysOp. I think you're well enough known by now, and we could always use someone mature and levelheaded in these times of emo drama. Backsword 16:12, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

Ok, after taking a bit of time and looking over what the role of Sysop entails I will accept your nomination. You can now create the actual RFA page and I will add my candidate statement/acceptance, thanks for the nomination Backsword :) --Kakarot Talk 16:38, 10 April 2008 (UTC)

Imaging Errors.

Ok thank you for the guidance, I'm still pretty new at this stuff but I just noticed that some of these images are not good quality. I will try to retrace my steps and rename my images that have "WIZARD" attached. I did not mean to infringe on potential copyrights, but simply as a way to label my images for search and whatnot. I apologize for any inconvenience.

No problem, most people make mistakes when they first start and it's not that difficult to correct, just a bit of reuploading and it's fine :) --Kakarot Talk 16:12, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
I noticed that when I re-uploaded some of my images, when I click on the thumbnail, there is no preview there, but it gives me a link
to a preview page. Is this normal after re-uploads? User Wizard Of Orden sig.jpgWizard Of Orden 16:37, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
Which ones do you mean, I went to all the images you just reuploaded and they all work fine for me both the actual image page and the full size version. I know that for a short time one of them; I think it was either the Jaga Moraine one or Shenzun Tunnels; showed up as a big grey box which could be due how the wiki handles the image cache (it can sometimes take a few hours for the actual image to change) but it seems to be fine now. --Kakarot Talk 16:46, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
Ah ok they seem to be fine now. Thanks for keeping contact and I'll use the information to better my "Wiki-ing".

thaxn for reminder to log in for editing

Hi Kakarot, Thanx for reminding...i was not aware that i was not logged in. Thanx for the warning. Didis

Your welcome although it wasn't really a warning since you weren't doing anything wrong. I know I've made the odd edit and only after clicking save did I realize I had been auto logged out (took too long typing lol). Also since I'm typing, when you post messages on a talk page use either ~~~~ or the second last button to sign at the end :) --Kakarot Talk 18:38, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

mini pets????

thanx for the info but if i went on the day afert my b-day would i still get a mini????--Robbie 171094 18:22, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

The present will remain there until you move it out; and even if your inventory is full, you can remove one piece in it, log out, log in and your present will be there. poke | talk 18:24, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
(Edit conflict) Yes, a birthday present containing a random miniature will be added to your inventory on the actual birthday, maybe a day before or a day after depending on leap years, and will stay there until you open it. Once you open the present you will randomly receive one of the miniatures listed here :) --Kakarot Talk 18:26, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

Unfortunately I don't play PvP at all, I'm a purely PvE player. Based on what I've heard PvX Wiki is a good place to get builds although I've never used it myself. --Kakarot Talk 18:53, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

Your welcome. In reply to your offer, to be honest PvP has never really interested me so I will have to decline. Also at the moment I don't get much time to play Guild Wars anyway. --Kakarot Talk 19:12, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

With GWWT

When tagging things for speedy deletion, how do you add in the note to see the talk page? ¬ Wizårdbõÿ777(talk) 03:04, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

I've got my browser set up so it alerts me under certain conditions, in this case when I'm sending info over an unencrypted connection, I can then make modifications to the page and manually save. As far as I know this method doesn't cause any problems with GWWT since I've been doing it for a while without problem. --Kakarot Talk 03:10, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

hey there! i've experienced you do good work over at the helpdesk together with all other helpers, but i haven't seen much more of you. if you don't mind, could you point me to some discussion where you participated to help me get to know you? - Y0_ich_halt Have a look at my page 14:49, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

As I'm not sure what you would feel is relevant I'll just link to a few specific sections of my contribs - GWW Talk (probably the primary section), MediaWiki Talk, User Talk (maybe not as relevant but this is where I had the most interaction with normal users). Sorry I can't give specific examples but those are the sections that should contain the most relevant discussion; GWW Talk being the main one; that would interest you. --Kakarot Talk 16:42, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

LOL Nothing in this world is free.... but seriously, congratulations on the successful RfA, more power to you. I've started, but the caster ones are going to take forever.--Go to Wynthyst's Talk page Wynthyst 02:50, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

Ok sure, is there already a page with the info relating to them on the wiki or will I need to get it in-game? If it's in-game I probably won't be able to start until tomorrow at the earliest. If you haven't already started I will do the lists that I origianlly started. --Kakarot Talk 03:05, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

sysop

now that you're sysop, i'd suggest you have a look here, here and here. - Y0_ich_halt Have a look at my page 13:55, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

Haha, can't fool me Y0, otherwise I would of also looked here too =P
By the way Y0, I noticed you fixed my mistake on Calor's talk page, just wondering what did that mean in German, tried to translate using Google but it gave a less than stellar performance, as in it gave the exact same word in English as German? --Kakarot Talk 14:04, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
it's too far-fetched for a translation machine. german "kot" means "dejection" (according to my dictionary), or easier "sh!t". "to cote" would be a word that would form from a typical translation mistake, just taking the german word and making it sound english. That way, the sentence would've had a meaning similar to "thanks for giving a fuck about it." - Y0_ich_halt Have a look at my page 14:24, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
but said very elegantly. - Y0_ich_halt Have a look at my page 14:26, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
That was a hard riddle for me, Y0 o.O How do you get from "cote" to "kot"? :P poke | talk 14:34, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
hm? why? just pronounce "kot" like you would in english and you got it XD - Y0_ich_halt Have a look at my page 14:43, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
(Edit conflict) Thanks for changing it then, lol just reread what I typed with the translation. Although it was rather late when I typed that so I figure I have somewhat of a excuse for it XD Note to self don't take so long to type things otherwise ec's happen. --Kakarot Talk 14:38, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

hi, i didn't remove the image on purpose. I am the guild leader of that guild and was just trying to update the guild cape pic. But i can't find how to chagne guild picture anywhere. Can u help? Thx. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 76.212.48.197 (talk • contribs) at 21:48, April 25, 2008 (UTC).

You have to be a registered user or logged in to upload images to the wiki. Once logged in go to the images page and there will be a "Upload a new version of this file" link which will allow you to upload a new version of the cape. --Kakarot Talk 21:53, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

Some stuff

Deletion reasons - User:Brains12/monobook.js, or User:Galil/monobook.js (the creator). Mine's tweaked a little bit, with a few extra/modified reasons. Adds a list of deletion reasons which appear on the deletion page.

Auto patrol - User:Poke/GuildWarsWikiTools

--Pling! \ Brains12 \ Talk 01:20, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

Thanks, I've been trying to add those deletion reasons to my monobook.js for a couple hours now. I based mine on Anja's which I think is the same as what Galil has and also made a few of the changes; and a few of my own to the wording; to it based on your version but each time I go to save or even preview I get a blank screen with the error message: The specified URL cannot be found. I was going to wait until tomorrow and if it was still doing it either message you or post about it on GWW:BUG because even replacing what I have with yours or Anja's and previewing gives the same error message. On the second link I was wondering if that last line in the box: Change the false to true to enable patrolling even by clicking normal links on Recent Changes or your Watchlist. means that clicking on a normal link marks it as patrolled or if it means you get a link on the page as you do with using diff. --Kakarot Talk 01:28, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
Hmm, not quite sure why you're getting the first problem -- I'll try to make a few random edits to my monobook and see if I get the same thing. As to the latter, enabling it to true means you get a patrol link at the bottom right of the page when accessing a page link from RC or a watchlist, and it 'ticks' itself whenever that patrol link is available. It also does it automatically when you click a diff in the same situations. --Pling! \ Brains12 \ Talk 01:33, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
Yep I get the same problem - can't save my monobook. I have a feeling it's related to the security stuff Emily mentioned, so it's probably another thing to add to their list of fixes. --Pling! \ Brains12 \ Talk 01:36, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
Ok, was just adding that I wasn't getting the same problem with adding that auto patrol thingy earlier; was only using preview since I wasn't sure about that option; when I got an ec. Luckily for me I made sure to save the coding for my slightly customized deletion reasons in notepad since I'd hate to have to redo that lol. --Kakarot Talk 01:39, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

Builds

Please read Guild Wars Wiki:Builds before tagging any more build pages for deletion. We do host common builds, well known builds and and formerly common historical builds, we're just not a database for user-created builds like PvXwiki. LaZy wiki pages

Regarding what you said on the admin board; Although i agree with you, i neglected to give you some background info. As one of the few people in LaZy permitted by the LaZy leadership to change the wiki pages relating to LaZy and it's events, I know which stuff isn't legitimate and which stuff is, which is why I reported it, as the modifications to the pages were not legitmate, in that they were false, and we're not requested by the LaZy leadership. The LaZy leadership has requested that I keep an eye on the LaZy pages and report any unauthorized changes to their pages (from none-LaZy members) which spread falsehoods or incorrect information about the alliance or its activities, thus why I brought it to the notice of the Admins. In regards to LaZy pages, their are literally only a handful of people who should be changing them and none of those should be IP accounts. -- Salome User salome sig.png 18:12, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

Ok, thanks for the info I will be sure to note that if they get edited in the future although if that does happen and you post on the noticeboard it might still be worth it to include that bit of info; in a shorter form; so any sysops that aren't aware know :) Having said that almost immediately after I posted my message on the noticeboard that IP made a further edit, well a revert actually and since I was watching it for further edits I was thinking that it would be necessary to block but Gordon got to him first. --Kakarot Talk 03:02, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

(Edit conflict) I'd guess you'd bring it to the attention of someone from ArenaNet; although I'm not sure who would be best; and maybe remove it from the Guild page although since I've never really dealt with this before I'm unsure whether that last bit about removing it is correct. --Kakarot Talk 22:22, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
Step by step. I notified them on the talk page. I'll email the guy who put his email near the bottom of the page if he doesn't respond in three days. If he doesn't respond to the email by Wednesday, we can talk to someone from Anet. Calor Talk 22:24, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
Thanks Calor. --Kakarot Talk 22:31, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

Actually, I don't believe what they are doing is a violation of the EULA. There is absolutely no mention of selling stuff (real world or in game) for game money. The restrictions are for selling accounts or game items for real money. I don't think they care what you do with your in game money as long as it stays in game. --Go to Wynthyst's Talk page Wynthyst 04:21, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
Not sure I should comment because obviously I wasn't clear on this which is why I asked. When the above was answered, my take was this: Real World Service = Real World Value (which has $ value) = Game Money. Yes, typing that it seems even more like it, remember game money always stays in game, there's no way to get it out. The question is whether it is exchanged for something in game (okay) or out of game (violation). Also, I didn't elaborate at the time, but what actually made be ask the question was more related to the advertising of it here. The thing is, he's not a gold seller, he's a gold buyer advertising to buy...maybe? -- Inspired to ____ 13:38, 9 May 2008 (UTC)

Question

I noticed while moving foxes "My Minipets" article that he had a redirect from User:Fox Cub to Fox Cub. I'm assuming that the page "Fox Cub" is actually in the mainspace instead of the proper userspace, even though there is a redirect. Is this allowed? --User Wandering Traveler Oie User Wandering Traveler Sig2.png Wandering Traveler 18:23, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

Fox Cub is his user page, see the section above this for more info. I moved it back into his userspace and then he again moved it back into the mainspace and finally Anja has moved it back into his userspace. My Minipets is meant to be in the userspace of User:Fox Cub so you did it right :) --Kakarot Talk 18:26, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

You cannot delete an image, just reupload a new version over it. Wait 15-20 minutes after you upload the new version to allow the server image cache to catch up.--Go to Wynthyst's Talk page Wynthyst 22:23, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
Also, you can go to Image:Guild_Kingdom_Of_Fire_Dragons_cape.jpg, click the date/time links to pick a previous version you like, and then click the "revert" button in order to go back to that version of the image.--Fighterdoken 22:24, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

Speaking of noticeboardness... the block was from may 5th for three days :). But things have calmed now at least so may be fine either way.--Fighterdoken 02:47, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for some reason I didn't notice the date, I blocked it anyway considering the amount of disruption/vandalism it caused earlier. As to the situation on the noticeboard talk page, I will keep an eye on it just in case but as Fighterdoken mentioned it seems to have calmed down. --Kakarot Talk 02:55, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
cool although if you check the history of the noticeboard page, you will also see lots of convo carried out on the noticeboard itself. Not sure what the official policy is on that now. -- Salome User salome sig.png 02:58, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

Speedy I1

You know that the reason why we have speedy deletion reasons is that you can immediately delete the things? :P So you don't need to tag the images with I1, just delete them ^^ poke | talk 22:22, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

Yeah I wasn't sure if I could actually just delete it if it didn't have a tag on it so I thought it best to tag it just in case lol. Also normally if it's a duplicate image I like to include a link to the replacement image and earlier as I was doing a ton of them, it was a lot easier/faster for me to do it on a deletion template rather than the delete page. Lastly if I'm not completely 100% sure on an image I will leave it for another sysop since images can't; as far as I know; be undeleted. --Kakarot Talk 22:28, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
The speedy criteria allow you to delete something without tagging (as long as it fits the criteria, obviously). This MediaWiki version allows image files to be undeleted too, so errors can easily be fixed. --Pling! \ Brains12 22:30, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for the edit conflict, Pling.
Images can be undeleted since MediaWiki 1.11, so we can undelete them now (only the new ones). And as long as you can delete the pages directly, there is no need to speedy tag them, as nobody will be able to see the deletion template after it (and the template is only to notice admins about the deletion in case of speedy deletions). But feel free to continue however you prefer to ^^ poke | talk 22:32, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
(Edit conflict) Thanks for the edit conflict Poke =P
Well it's good to know that images can now be undeleted. From what I had read and also from previewing a deleted images last edit it looked like they couldn't so that's the reason I had left certain images. --Kakarot Talk 22:36, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

Deleted files are moved to another folder, so the original absolute links to the images do not work any longer but you can see the images under the "File history" heading. poke | talk 22:40, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
Odd I never noticed that file history section before now and we updated the mediawiki version before I became a sysop so no idea how I missed it :/ --Kakarot Talk 22:43, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

For the sake of being nosy....

I must know, because its been bugging me for the past week. Why is it that sysops have a different "revert message" on the RC list? (I only say that because...well, I only see sysops use it). Normally its the really odd "undo revision #### by ####", but then theres the "Reverted edits by ####, changed back to last version by ####". I'm just confused.....why are there two seperate "revert phrases"? pointless and probably unnecesary to ask, but I'm just curious.... >.< --User Wandering Traveler Oie User Wandering Traveler Sig2.png Wandering Traveler 01:19, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

Sysops can still do the normal "undo revision #### by ####" way but we also have a quicker way of reverting that uses the "Reverted edits by ####, changed back to last version by ####" message, it just makes it easier/quicker for us to revert vandalism. It also makes vandalism more or less meaningless since it takes more effort to add the vandalism than it does to revert it lol. --Kakarot Talk 02:39, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
hmmm...I envy you people then :P. Thanks for the answer, thats been bugging me for the past week for some reason.... --User Wandering Traveler Oie User Wandering Traveler Sig2.png Wandering Traveler 02:58, 15 May 2008 (UTC)

GWW:USER only allows registered users to have userpages, which includes redirects. You cannot claim ownership of an IP account :P --Shadowphoenix Please, talk to me; I'm so lonley ;-; 17:21, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
....You can't seriously tell me that Shard can't claim ownership of a static IP that only he ever uses? That IP is only used by his laptop, ever. I'd say if he forgets to log in, it ought to be reasonable to assume that it's him, as, you know, no one else ever uses that IP. -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png 17:28, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
To go into more detail: IP addresses are subject to change, even static ones can eventually change (whether it be changes in ISP, etc.) unless specifically assigned to an organization by IANA. Furthermore, there is no conclusive way to "prove" that an IP belongs specifically to you. Thus, we don't allow people to "claim ownership" of an IP, but rather only user names and individual edits. Problem with Guild Page Moving

Hey Kakarot, I noticed that Guild:Guardians Of The Burning sword was recently created. I do believe "Sword" had to be capitalized due to image naming and GW naming consistensies, but there is already a page entitled Guild:Guardians Of The Burning Sword, so I can't move over it. The bad part is I can't tell if the editors are the same because one creation is under a user and the other is under an IP. any solution to this? ~User Wandering Traveler Oie User Wandering Traveler Sig2.png Wandering Traveler 03:26, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

Damn it just had to be that the IP one was the properly named one didn't it lol. Anyways I'd say leave a message on RoamingChaos' talk page asking if Guild:Guardians Of The Burning Sword is also his guild page and tag the incorrectly named one with a normal delete, reason set to something like "Guild already exists under correct naming, see User talk:RoamingChaos for more info". --Kakarot Talk 03:33, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

Sorry for bothering you again, but I was wondering something. I'm currently looking through the list of wanted pages, and it seems that Guild:European Warfare Experts seems to be the #1 page. There are users who provide user layouts although personally I've always preferred to see users creates their own style of userpage. You can also have a look at the coding of any of those people pages, just make sure you don't accidentally save. Another page that provides information on wiki editing is our editing page including the links at the bottom, and the links at the bottom of this page might be of further help to you. Finally another option you could try is creating your own personal sandbox where you can test out code as much as you like without modifying any good pages (just click that red link). Template

Yes, Kakarot, I'm well aware of common template etiquette. As it turns out, I am also a template maker (see {{Guild hall expansion}}) and I have had my share of annoying edits by RC trolls while I was editing. As there is no way to actually indicate to potential editors that you are aware of a bug, edit conflicts are common. It's just a reality you have to live with. People see problems, and then they fix them. It's a wiki. That's how it works. In the future, if you really can't stand people helping you, you might consider putting a notice such as "This template is still in alpha, and should not yet be used. Please refrain from making edits, as work is still being done by the creator" on your template's page. Then, if I edit your page, I give you my express permission to be as patronizing as you'd like. --User Vorith Shadow Ursan.jpg ՄօՒւեի (talkcontribs) 16:45, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

There is a difference between main space templates (Template:) and user space templates. In general, avoid editing others user space templates without asking, but edit main space templates all you want. - anja talk 16:49, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
As I said on your talk page I do appreciate the fix Vorith, but Anja is right since this is located inside my userspace at the moment other people shouldn't really make edits to it without asking even if it is a template meant to be used in the mainspace in the future. --Kakarot Talk 16:53, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

Infobox thing-a-ma-jumbo

Taking it out of the draft discussion just for the sake of keeping the page clean, i was at the time just testing vars to see what they did (hence the "i have no clue what i am doing" in the historial). But to answer your question, yes, using them we could code in the infobox a limited set of colors allowed if we wanted (using english words for the sake of simplicity). Not sure if vars are really needed for this, but it works with them at least.--Fighterdoken 18:11, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

It would probably make it easier to limit the number of colours, if that is the route we end up taking regarding customization and would end up being less coding. I know Aiiane is also working on possible colours here and here. We could then end up merging the two templates if necessary using variables instead of the way I did it. --Kakarot Talk 18:17, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

for the RV. All I did was answer the question, and he gets mad at me.....wierd. o.O ~User Wandering Traveler Oie User Wandering Traveler Sig2.png Wandering Traveler 04:53, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

Glad I could help. As to his getting mad for getting an answer I know what you mean weird, I left a warning on his talk page regarding the edit. --Kakarot Talk 04:57, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
Ah, thanks. Not sure who he is, but oh well. Not my area to deal with XD~User Wandering Traveler Oie User Wandering Traveler Sig2.png Wandering Traveler 05:00, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
If it happens again just leave a note on the noticeboard since it's 1am here :) --Kakarot Talk 05:04, 14 June 2008 (UTC)
o.O whoa....late. I'm about ready to hit the keyboard with my face on my end, and its only 11:00.....but ya, I'll post if anything else comes up. ~User Wandering Traveler Oie User Wandering Traveler Sig2.png Wandering Traveler 05:07, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

New guild tag

The reason I posted it on both pages, is I'd like it to start NOW, rather than wait for the policy change to go into effect. --Wyn's Talk page Wynthyst 19:17, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

Oh ok, the reason I chose to place my proper response on the proposed policy over the current one was because it was the one where the discussion about changing what the inactive template is used for as well as the creation of the new notable guild template took place. Although I made sure that I at least commented in both places just in case it was better to respond on the current policy talk page :) --Kakarot Talk 19:34, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

DPL Image Checking

From one of Poke's Archives User talk:Poke/archive/2008.1#DPL question. You might now be interested to know about the imageused and imagecontainer parameters ;)

{{#dpl:
| imageused = User Kakarot Sandbox.jpg
}}

Use this, to see which pages are using Image:User Kakarot Sandbox.jpg

{{#dpl:
| imagecontainer = User:Kakarot/About
| escapelinks = false
| openreferences = true
}}

And this will tell you which images are used on User:Kakarot/About, the escapelinks parameter will change it from generating a list of names of the images to the actual images being shown. The openreferences paramter will make it display any non-existing images that are being used on the page too. For clearer guide into these and some of the other parameters look here: [1] The preceding unsigned comment was added by The Great Tomato (talk • contribs) at 16:13, June 15, 2008 (UTC).

Thanks for the info, always good to learn something new. Even though neither of them will help with what I was originally trying to do when I left that question mentioned in Poke's archive it is still useful information to know :) --Kakarot Talk 16:30, 15 June 2008 (UTC)
Uh, are that new features to DPL? Looks very interesting. poke | talk 16:39, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

LOL

Gonna start calling you Kakabot :D--Wyn's Talk page Wynthyst 22:58, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

LOL, because of my deletion spree? --Kakarot Talk 22:59, 18 June 2008 (UTC)
Or because of the overwhelming likelihood that you're a bot. But that works too. Calor Talk 23:28, 18 June 2008 (UTC)

Hi

I don't belive I've ever had any big discussions with you, but you are a good helper to GWW. Please look at this: User:Ninjas In The Sky/Coolest Title. Take your time to vote. All visitors of this page are welcome to do so. Ninjas In The Sky 19:19, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Fixing my archives

Thanks for fixing it all, I was very confused about it. :) Luxon.png Horus ~talk

No problem, doing something like archiving for the first time usually is confusing, same thing with most things but that guide I left on your talk page should help explain the process :) --Kakarot Talk 02:57, 21 June 2008 (UTC)

You asked for it, you got it :D

Here it is, I hope it's acceptable.--Wyn's Talk page Wynthyst 12:06, 22 June 2008 (UTC)

Yay it is, good thing you made it bigger because I just changed my mind where I am putting it. I will add it to my page shortly, thank you =D --Kakarot Talk 14:27, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
(Edit conflict) Nice :D —ZerphatalkThe Improver 14:27, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
Oh lovely :D - anja talk 14:48, 22 June 2008 (UTC)
Hmmm there seem to be some issues with the transparency. I'll try to fix it an reupload it.--Wyn's Talk page Wynthyst 18:25, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
Probably the easiest way would be to just use a background colour of #DDDDDD since I probably won't change that colour. --Kakarot Talk 18:28, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
Although if you can fix it while still keeping the transparent background then feel free to do it :) --Kakarot Talk 20:12, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

About the image...

I know about the name on it, I tried to rename it but it just keeps getting names Chat Lawg.JPG no matter what I do. I tried uploading a new one. Tried reverting. Tried everything. Thanks for tagging it for deletion. Ninjas In The Sky 07:00, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

Spoilsport :)

but understood --Silverleaf User_talk:Silverleaf 19:49, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

Sorry about that, you could always add the comment at 00:00 in your timezone and then add something like (00:00 <enter your time zone here>); for example (00:00 UTC); just before the signature maybe. --Kakarot Talk 19:59, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
This was more fun --Silverleaf User_talk:Silverleaf 20:08, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

Subst:

is your friend. Well, not yours, the wikis, but as close as you'll get. Backsword 06:11, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

Since I just got up I'm a bit confused and probably just completely missing what you mean Backsword. Was there a place where I didn't use it that I should of or one where I used it that I shouldn't of? --Kakarot Talk 13:38, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
Yes. Backsword 13:53, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
Sorry this is late but yes to which one and about what? --Kakarot Talk 03:48, 30 June 2008 (UTC)
That's for me to know and you to find out. Backsword 04:04, 30 June 2008 (UTC)

redirects

Alot of the pages on ArenaNet:Guild Wars 2 suggestions were organized and moved to more appropriate names, so there are alot of redirects there now as you can see on Special:Log/move, do you want to G4 those redirects or should they all be 3 day tagged? Fall 13:47, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

I'd say tag them with a normal deletion "move remnant" since G4 is the one speedy reason I'm not quite sure about. --Kakarot Talk 13:50, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
As long as all links are corrected, I personally don't see a harm in speedying them :) - anja talk 13:54, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
I'll answer this here. For now, let's leave them, in case someone has them bookmarked or something. But in a while, they are perfectly valid R2s. BTW, G4s are for things discussed in an unrelated location, basiclly a way to extend normal delete to multiple locations. Backsword 13:56, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
Little late on that one Backsword lol, no reason they cant wait longer than 3 days to delete them though. Fall 14:03, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
