My Talk Hey, everybody. Welcome to the guaranteed no-drama corner of Guild Wars Wiki (yeah, right) more commonly known as Vorith's talk page. There are several possible reasons you might be on this page right now. The first is that you are one of my many Wiki stalkers. If this is the case, GTFO. If you are not stalking me, this probably has to do with something I did to make the Wiki asplode, or perhaps u herd I'm in the GWW Helper Program. Archives: Most Recent Guild hall expansion template I have noticed a problem with the guild hall expansion template you created that is starting to really bug me, so I though I would bring it to you to see if a compromise could be reached. By having multiple items floating right on the page (the infobox and the guild hall expansion template), it breaks the section edit tags. This is an overall problem with MediaWiki, not something specific with your template. I am not sure how it can be solved, but it needs to be. -- Wyn 16:51, 18 September 2008 (UTC) Yeah, I noticed that happening on my old guild's page. I'm not quite sure how this bug can be resolved... the wiki is programmed to realize that there is something floating there, so it waits until after the first infobox to display the [edit]. However, when something else tries to float directly under the first box, it squeezes the edit tag out and it basically falls to the bottom of the page. I'm not aware of any ways that will for-sure fix this, but perhaps if we mess around with the margins to give the wiki some space for the tags, that will resolve the problem. Worst comes to worst, we could always add guild hall functionality to the current guild infobox, and require that no other infoboxes be used on the page. That'd take express approval from the sysops though, and would generally be a hassle to do, so if that solution can be avoided I think it should be. -- Vorith (talk•contribs) 01:17, 10 October 2008 (UTC) I tried this and it seems to work. If you want to be exact, I uploaded it in May, but it's a couple years old. All that number-tweaking was annoying. :P And I don't mind not being the only one with an illuminated sig. Those colors are blindworthy and don't look good, especially in such a tiny space. User:Elric Coy/tables/nightfall guardian2 It looks ok now and yes I know I have the border turned on twice so that each section has its own border. The question is how do I turn off the border on just one side of a table so I can eliminate the eye sore that the current borders create? For ex User:Elric Coy/Elric/Guardian/Nightfall there are less borders but there is still an obvious difference that there are two tables here. Thank you in advance... I do a lot of editing on my Wii and copy/paste functions do not exist as if typing isn't already difficult...(also making it difficult to fix the mistake until later when I get computer time... either that or I'll have to undo your changes.) I want to eliminate the left border of each character column and any padding between them so that the inclusions in the page appear to all be one. (i.e. the tables mentioned above should show up as one solid table instead of several tables pushed together as they appear now.) I know how to turn off the outside border that currently exists. I only need help with the left side border on this template so that when it is put together it looks like *edit old table deleted in favor of working new one[[User:Elric_Coy/tables/prophecies_guardian|this table]] (old table version... not a template yet) Elric Coy 15:48, 14 December 2008 (UTC) Wow, don't know how I managed to do that... Not to bad but is there a way to use the border style I am currently using and still do it with CSS? I don't know much CSS yet, but I pretty much built all my pages by examining other peoples pages and using the wiki code I can grasp. Still trying to figure out what to do with the free space on Dyvim's page now that I made parts of it expandable. Buuuut, that's a whole other subject... (that I am sure I'll solve eventually) Back to the table... umm have a look for yourself & tell me what you think. Readable? Easy to use? I like that you can compare your progress to any other character that is using the same template. I'm a new Italian user, may I ask for help for my user page? I'd like to add a character page, but I'm having troubles with tables. I don't know how to set a table with different boxes (one for the picture, one for the builds, etc.) Can you help me?
