A fellow renderer![edit]

- Thanks. I do utilize the same method for the most part. The only difference probably being how I actually capture models in the game. I've mostly been doing random models and ones I like (e.g KT29-Moahawk), but don't have a problem teaming up and working on the list. MadMaxx 17:32, 11 February 2012 (UTC)

- Nice work! Maybe you can help me with some problems I have with 3dsMax. Sometimes when I try to turn off alpha channels the whole model turns trnasparent. The same thing happens when I have to toggle "Force 2-sided" and need to turn off alpha channels. I don't know how much you know bout max but if you could help me it would be great. - That usually happens when the texture has a "bad" alpha channel. You can usually help the issue a little by editing the alpha with Photoshop (or whatever image editor). For that particular example I just did a quick edit. I usually don't bother fixing them unless it really affects the model. MadMaxx 21:52, 13 February 2012 (UTC)

- They're actually maps that exist in the dat, but have never been used. Some of them are fun though; it's too bad they don't find a way to utilize them. I would like to modify a map by adding objects and decorations to it, but it's time consuming. MadMaxx 01:09, 20 May 2012 (UTC)

- Thanks! I'll get onto these. There were actually a few specific ones I'd like to see. A few I'd like to improve on and a few that aren't used in the game.
- Two I'd like to improve on are Tower Golem and File:Crimson Skull Captain.jpg.
- Then there's two that aren't used in the game: File:Canthan peasant m buckets.jpg and File:Dead Minister Guard.jpg. That latter one appears only dead in Minister Cho's Estate.
- One I'm not sure exists at all is shown on File:Vloxen Excavations page.jpg. It seems to be a variation of the Skeleton Mage, with a cap and dark glowing eyes. Maybe you can find out wether it exists at all -- Magamdy 12:22, 4 April 2016 (UTC)

I don't remember ever seeing the bucket man, so that's interesting. Honestly there are probably many unused models that exist, but finding them would be like finding a needle in a haystack. - After going through hundreds of Factions models I've yet to find the bucket man. I did find a Kurzick f that I didn't recognize (though it may just not be on the models page) Also no luck on smothering. Maybe I'll see if I can make it though Veil to get them lol. - Fern may still be in there since apparently it was in game for short period, and they weren't known for deleting anything. (e.g old PvP maps, original tombs, hero battles, etc etc etc are all still in there and of course still get downloaded with fresh dats) The Dune Lizard trivia mentions how they just moved locations and had their name changed, so this makes me wonder if Ferns just used the same model or if there actually was a different one... Help with a render[edit]
I have a problem with rendering the Siege Turtle, having to do with the shadow that is applied to the shell. I can't get it to blend properly. This is what I'm talking about. Now, I've dealt with this kind of texture a lot, normally you make a Composite map and set the "shadow" texture to Multiply. However, this can't be done here because that shadow has it's own material. And I for the love of god can't find a way to make a material multiply with the material under it. Maybe you have an idea? Oh great render lord and master[edit]
Is there possibly a way to scrounge an image from the .dat or use texmod/dressup to find an image for Spider's Gluttony? I'm not good with such things and finding an active player with the taiwan preorder may prove near impossible. It's such a great skin so i'm hoping you may have an idea. Idk how the item ids are grouped but maybe its near the other preorder items in number? You would have a better idea than me.
