Archive

You couldn't split your archive up, could you? It's pretty hard to find something when you've got about a year's worth of stuff with about five years' worth of spam and a rather large wall of mooing on one page, and with it being 421 kilobytes long. Seeing as you archive straight away, one has to go to your archive to follow a discussion... and as I said, that's not easy. Which reminds me, archiving generally shouldn't be done instantly, anyway. -- Brains12 \ talk 18:32, 8 September 2009 (UTC)

The stuff was pretty old when I archived it. Are you complaining that I archived Edward's personal note to me, which I responded to, or the week old comments about philly cheese steaks? On a side note, I actually find it far easier to use my archive in this way due to the search function of firefox. Ctrl+f means that I don't have to remember when something happened, just that it happened. Misery 19:08, 8 September 2009 (UTC)

I don't have a problem with that kind of archiving either.. It's big yes, but you are still able to browse through it easily, and you don't need to edit anything there so you shouldn't get a problem with the editing.. poke | talk 19:11, 8 September 2009 (UTC)

I do find archives which are split into smaller chunks of time or size easier to browse - it's not always a case of ctrl+f. How about having split archives which are transcluded onto a central archive, maybe? Since you do get a lot of spam here, shorter spaces of time between each archiving in comparison to other people's talks is probably inevitable ("instantly" was a bit of an exaggeration, I guess), but it makes me have to do more to keep an eye on this talk (which I do cos you're a bureaucrat and whatnot); having this on my watchlist is plain annoying, so I come here now and again instead, usually finding it completely different. I suppose what I'm trying to say here (but failing miserably) is that I just want it to be a 'normal' talk page. How did the whole idea of having henchies get through? They knew the AI sucked at certain things (ie Infuse) and were great at others (ie let's get Gwen to camp the prot and spam Tease!). The idea was good, but incorporating it into GW was never going to work. /Sigh. Doesn't meta mean "best synergy with the skills available on my 8 skill bar"? What were they going to do once a big update hits? (ie Smiter's Boon) Another contest with "Let's replace this skill on the henchie bars since they were broken in the first place, but let's not admit that?" The henchmen update was both a PR move and one of total lazyness. Anet wanted to appear concerned about henchmen and their poor performance (lolz, for almost 3ish years), and updating henchmen is a sign that shows they care.

It was also lazy of them to accept meta builds (which would, incidentally, recieve less negative feedback than original builds, or so it was perceived) and not develop proper bars.
