For 3 seconds of 10, it averages to less than a 33% constant IAS/IMS. Considering that you can move at 10,000,000,000 billion times normal speed with any Shadow Step, I don't think a 100% IMS is too bad. 100% IAS over 3 seconds means you can do get off twice as many attacks, so you're looking at about 5 attacks in that time frame. It also deals ~100 damage with 25% AP and has no aftercast. And it's an Elementalist skill; Eles don't exactly have a myriad of shadow step skills, so it would follow that their one Step would be elite.

Hmmm. Lightspeed has a good concept but 100%? I would say 50% and it would be more like an elite dash. It would have the same relationship with the non-elite as does Primal Rage with Frenzy. 71.255.242.196 00:56, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

Nova has no cast time!
Nova is pr0sauce with no cast time! Uber 1447 skillz!!1!one!!1! I think one second would be good.

A short note on game mechanics[edit]

In Guild Wars "attacking 33% faster" is actually a 33% reduction in attack interval which actually equates to 50% more damage and 50% more adrenaline gain, so by anyone who actually understands English, it would be called "attacking 50% faster". Along those lines what you actually want Lightspeed to do is make them move 100% faster and attack 50% faster or all attacks will have 0 second activation and I don't really know what that would do to the engine, but I suspect it would break something. This misuse of "speed" is quite common in RPGs because game designers/programmers are game designers/programmers, not English teachers. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Misery (talk). 13:17, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

Thank you, that makes a HUGE difference (activate ALL of your scythe attack skills in 0 seconds, FTW!) (or hell, just autoattack an infinite number of times). I'd been thinking a 33% IAS was "you attack 4 times in the interval that you'd normally attack 3 times", not "you attack 3 times in the interval that it would normally take to attack twice." Skills tab[edit]

Hey, i'm also creating some skills on my user page, and i would like to know how to create the skills tab template because my page is kinda messed :S ty. ah and btw i use photoshop to create skill icons but they are quite mediocre --Soulforged 21:22, 14 January 2009 (UTC)

I honestly couldn't tell you how I did it; when I actually created the page, I looked it up, and then added material was automatically added. I think saving all your skill pages in the same directory and then using a title match table to that directory would work. If you're not sure what I mean, just go to my page and hit "edit". Confused: New Condition[edit]

While Confused, your actions have a chance of not getting to your intended target. (No effect unless Dazed.)

An explanation of mechanics
  • Whenever you do an Action (attack, cast a spell, use a skill) there is a chance to not perform the action to the intended target. The chance to hit is: 1/how many Characters (Player or Non-Player) in range of the action
  • Example: A Confused monk trying to cast Word of Healing on a player in spell range with 7 other characters in his spell range has a 1/9 chance of landing WoH on his intended target. The other characters, including the monk, have a 1/9 chance of having WoH land on them also.
    • In the example above, there were 9 people (including the monk) in his spell range, so he had a 1/9 chance of getting the correct target, and a 8/9 chance of hitting the incorrect target.
  • Example: A warrior is meleeing a target. There is another character adjacent to the warrior's target. The warrior becomes confused. He has a 1/3 chance of damaging his target. He has a 1/3 chance of damaging the adjacent character. He has a 1/3 chance to damage himself.
Limits
  • No effect unless Dazed
  • No single skill can cause Confused AND it's pre-requisite. Not even an Elite Spell with

  • The effect can last no longer than 4 seconds.

The only issue with that is that a lot of confuse-causing skills would have to be non-elite, since most of the daze-causing skills are elite (there'd be little way to bring both otherwise). But it looks fun. User Raine R.gif Raine - talk 17:59, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

Feint[edit]

You're supposed to use it on a blocking target. For example, if a monk's about to die and uses Disciplined Stance, you use Feint and it gets blocked, then you follow up with some other attack skill, which goes through Disciplined Stance and does stronger damage. That's the purpose of a feint; it's not supposed to hit, but to leave the target open for your next attack. User Raine R.gif Raine - talk 18:04, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
