Also, thanks for giving that estimate for Necro Vabbian Armor; I was wondering about that, but I was too lazy to check myself. :P ThrainFile:User Thrain Sig.pngcontribs 04:15, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, I was looking at those prices and thinking "no way was it that cheap when I got mine." But it's worth it, I think it's the coolest-looking Necro armor in the game. -- Tekn0mancer 18:37, 18 February 2010 (UTC)

User & Character pages

Since the above made me realize I hadn't done anything on my own pages, I put together a couple from Wynthyst's character templates and some miscellaneous cut-and-pasted code. I put a lot of work into my character page, so check it out. -- Tekn0mancer 06:00, 19 February 2010 (UTC)

Redirects

The profession should be capitalized so the redirect should go from the other direction. User DrogoBoffin sig icon.png Drogo Boffin 18:57, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

Excuse me? Not sure I follow...do you mean in the "All x elites" user box template, or in the redirect pages I made? I'm confused. -- Tekn0mancer User Tekn0mancer-Awaken the Blood 19px sig.jpg talk 19:00, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

Factions AI exploit: pulling shrine priests with minions

Tested in both Jade Sea & Echovald Forest. Using a mob of minions, it is possible to pull a shrine priest along with your party. This can be done with some difficulty for free, but it works every time when you bribe the priest 50g in order to use the shrine.

  1. Talk to the priest and activate the shrine, but do not buy the blessing for 100g yet because if you do, he will anchor to the shrine and not follow.
  2. Keep him selected and wait until he starts healing your minions, then slowly walk until he is at the edge of aggro range.
  3. Hold for a moment or two to make sure he's still healing minions, then use the arrow keys to take a step or two at a time and you will see him start moving toward you.
  4. Take small steps until you can confirm that he's following, but at this point the priest should follow you and continue to heal your minions (and the rest of your party).

If he doesn't follow, either you didn't have enough minions to keep him busy, or you moved away from him too fast -- go back and try again. He will always follow once he's completely broken away from the shrine, which is about 2x aggro range from it; then you can buy the blessing from him if you want it. Since he's not an ally but neutral, he will be completely ignored by all foes. You can still wipe because he doesn't have a res skill, but basically you can exploit the Factions AI behavior to get an immortal monk with WoH as the ninth member of your party. Tested with Luxons, but it works the same with Kurzick Priests too. -- Tekn0mancer User Tekn0mancer-Awaken the Blood 19px sig.jpg talk 20:55, 21 May 2010 (UTC)

I'm not positive, But I think "Bite" (the letters in that order, not the English word) is something offensive in Dutch. The more you know! --BriarUser Briar Sig 3.jpgThe Spider 17:21, 4 June 2011 (UTC)

Interesting. That's just another reason for ANet to localize the chat filters as well as the language settings...if every possible offensive letter combination from every language that uses the Roman alphabet is filtered out regardless of the user's localization, it will eventually get really absurd. Oh well, I turned off the chat filter a long time ago anyway because it was getting on my nerves. :P -- Tekn0mancer User Tekn0mancer-Awaken the Blood 19px sig.jpg talk 17:25, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
