Luxon Priests are found in Fort Aspenwood and at certain Resurrection Shrines. Those at Resurrection Shrines are not hostile, but may have either a friendly or unfriendly attitude to your party depending on party members' unspent faction:
- If any party member has more unspent Luxon faction points than Kurzick, the priest will offer Blessing of the Luxons for 100 gold.
- If every party member has more unspent Kurzick faction points than Luxon, the priest will give you the option to either fight him or bribe him. Bribing him costs 50 gold, activates the shrine, makes the four Luxon NPCs at the shrine friendly, and gives you +10 Luxon faction points. The priest will then offer you the Blessing of the Luxons as above. If you choose to fight him, he and the other Luxon NPCs at the shrine will turn hostile and attack you.

Dialogue[edit]
- In explorable areas
If the Luxon Priest is unfriendly to your party:
- "This resurrection shrine is only for Luxons and their allies. No servant of the Kurzicks will use this shrine while I am here!"
- Let's talk this over.
- "Talk will only foul the air with your breath. This shrine is ours. No talk will change that."
- I am done talking then! (Fight.) (Luxon Priest and all other Luxon NPCs at that shrine become hostile.)
- Perhaps you prefer a little music? (Bribe.)
- "Yes, <character name>. The sound of jingling coins is far better than the sound of your voice... though I think it would take 50 gold coins to truly make music."
- Fifty gold for the shrine? I accept.
- If you have 50 gold:
- "This shrine will work for you now." (You receive 10 Luxon faction points and the Luxon Merchant and Priest provide their services.)
- If you do not have 50 gold:
- "Villain! Do you mean to cheat me? You do not have 50 gold!"
- Let's talk it over some more.
- So be it.
- I'll be on my way.
If the Luxon Priest is friendly or has been bribed:
- "This is my shrine. What is your business here?"
- I am interested in blessings.
- "I know the "Blessings of the Luxons," which will give you +25 maximum health. It will cost you 100 gold to receive this blessing."
- Thank you.
- "Fool! You do not have 100 gold!" (If so.)
- No thank you.
- I'll be on my way.
Quotes[edit]
Battle quotes[edit]
When talked to as allies:
- "Bring your woes some other time, friend."
- "Duty calls."
- "Fight now. Talk later."
- "Fight, damn it!"
- "Help. A little help here."
- "If you haven't noticed, I'm busy at the moment."
- "Let's give 'em a whooping!"
- "Not now!"
- "Now is not the time for idle chatter."
- "Spill the blood of our foes!"
- "Stop wagging your tongue and start whooping some butt!"
- "Tell me later. For now I have enemies to slaughter."
- "The time for jabbering over a pint will come later."
- "To arms! To arms!"
- "We will reminisce after this battle is won."
- "Your words fall on deaf ears. For now I fight."
Blessings offered[edit]
Blessing | Effect | Cost |
---|---|---|
Blessing of the Luxons | You have +25 maximum Health and +3 Health regeneration. You gain Luxon faction for hunting in this area. Boss creatures provide bonus faction. | 100 |
Notes[edit]
- The bribe only needs to be paid once per party per shrine.
- The priests tend to follow allies if any of them need to be healed, especially minions since they have constant health degeneration. You can have all the priests of one area following you if you have a minion master in your party.
- The priest's attitude towards the party is fixed the first time a player enters compass range and can only be changed by bribing the priest.
- A party member with more unspent Luxon faction than Kurzick faction does not have to be in range to affect the priest's attitude, but they must still be in the map.
- If a party member's allegiance changes due to gaining faction while in the map, only shrine NPCs who have not yet been within compass range of a player will respect the change.
- If the first player to load the map has more unspent Kurzick faction than Luxon faction, a Luxon Priest within compass range of the party's entry point will be unfriendly and require bribing even if other party members have more Kurzick faction than Luxon faction.
- The resurrection shrine will still activate when approached if any party member has more unspent Luxon faction than Kurzick faction, even if the priest is unfriendly to the party.
Anomaly.Similar to Kurzick Priests, if the Luxon Priest is unfriendly to your party when first approached:
- The Luxon Priest and his accompanying shrine NPCs (i.e. Luxon Merchant and Guards) will not attack the foes of your party and those foes will not attack the shrine NPCs.
- The Luxon Priest will heal allies (e.g. your party members) and foes. He will prioritize healing an ally over a foe when both an ally and foe require healing.
- All of this occurs whether or not you bribe that Luxon Priest.
