Skill notes[edit]
Just wanted to say I really appreciate all the notes you are adding to the ranger skills. There are quite a few things I had no idea about, or haven't thought of. :) - Anja (talk) 13:31, 24 April 2007 (EDT)
- Glad you like it. I have a LOT more to get through though. I'll get there eventually and then head over to the Paragon ones too. I'm trying to cover a lot and keep it simple if I can. No guarantees I'll get everything though so please feel free to change/add/remove anything that you find/know as well. --File:VallenIconwhitesmall.JPG Vallen Frostweaver 14:08, 24 April 2007 (EDT)
Signature for frvwfr2[edit]
Well here's what I created for your signature. Let me know if you like it. If you do, you can use it. If you prefer, let me know and I'll upload it under your name like this: [[Image:User frvwfr2 signature.jpg]] instead of the current [[Image:User Vallen Frostweaver frvwfr2 signature.jpg]]
Here's several colors to choose from and they can easily be bolded or italisized as desired:
It's 19 pixels high and wide so it shouldn't suffer from any typing or spacing problems and should be within all parameters of the wiki signature guidelines.--File:VallenIconwhitesmall.JPG Vallen Frostweaver 09:57, 9 May 2007 (EDT)
- Hmmm the GWW:SIGN says:
- The image file must be unique to the user signature. The image file should not be larger than 19 pixels wide and 19 pixels tall.
- ~ Kurd11:00, 9 May 2007 (EDT)
- Ok, that sucks. back to the drawing board.--File:VallenIconwhitesmall.JPG Vallen Frostweaver 11:21, 9 May 2007 (EDT)
Alright then. I fixed it but now we have to wait for the image cache to catch up since it currently looks like a squinched version of the old one when I look at it now (wish I'd just have u/l a new file but it's too late now). It's 19x19 and is a changed version of the Incendiary Arrows icon. This combines the fire dept part and the love for rangers and couldn't be a closer fit IMO. I've added some text options for the remaining signature. --File:VallenIconwhitesmall.JPG Vallen Frostweaver 12:34, 9 May 2007 (EDT)
Awesome! Thanks for the sigs... I like the second one on the second row, the Olive green font with the bold. Could you upload the images at User Frvwfr2 signature? On PvX Wiki, GuildWiki, and here. (edit: I think I can upload them at other places.) Thanks! Those are awesome. --Frvwfr2 16:34, 9 May 2007 (EDT)
- Don't have the time right now but I will today or tomorrow. :) Glad you liked it. --File:VallenIconwhitesmall.JPG Vallen Frostweaver 20:42, 13 May 2007 (EDT)
- Not at the right PC today so it'll have to be tomorrow. Sorry about the delay. --File:VallenIconwhitesmall.JPG Vallen Frostweaver 15:35, 14 May 2007 (EDT)
- Looks to me like you copied and reloaded it on your sig so I'm not needed to do this now. :) Thanks. Hope you like it. --File:VallenIconwhitesmall.JPG Vallen Frostweaver 07:52, 16 May 2007 (EDT)

Character pages[edit]
Hey! Hope you dont mind that I "borrowed" several of your Character variables and such from you when creating a Character presentation template. You can find the "finished" product at User:Lensor/Character tables (will probably be some more changes. but nothing major I hope).--Lensor 16:14, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- Not at all. I'm flattered. Thanks for the heads up. It looks good! --File:VallenIconwhitesmall.JPG Vallen Frostweaver 01:36, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- Great :). By the way, I dont know if you noticed, but on your character pages the pictures frequently tend to "pop out" of their table cell and cover half of the text in the other cell (as the picture cell then is resized to smaller, pulling the text to the left, underneath the picture]. I am not sure if I explain properly, hopefully you understand. They look good when first going to the page, but then look all funny if revisiting it. Looked at the code and guess it is because the left cell is set to only 5%, creating problems sometimes. --Lensor 00:33, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks, I'll change the %'s to fit the pictures better and that should fix it. I had noticed the same thing too about the picture overlap. --File:VallenIconwhitesmall.JPG Vallen Frostweaver 01:15, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
- Took me long enough but I changed it. Ty. --File:VallenIconwhitesmall.JPG Vallen Frostweaver 19:49, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

copyvio[edit]
I just found this article: Gwen's Broken Flute which is a direct copy of the text from guildwiki. This is not allowed due to non compatible copyright licences. Please read GWW:COPYRIGHT for more information on this topic. --Lemming64 17:35, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

Builds policy[edit]
Heyho. You were one of two people mentioning that the current build policy proposal needs refining. It would be great if you could mention what exactly you want to have refined (or of course, you could directly change it in the proposal). --Xeeron 09:59, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
- I'll see what I can do to help. I have very limited time this past week and am about to head on vacation again. If I get more than 2 extra minutes (to do a scan of the wiki like this) I'll try to help out. --File:VallenIconwhitesmall.JPG Vallen Frostweaver 11:41, 12 June 2007 (UTC)
Signature icon[edit]
Hi Vallen, your current signature icon does not meet the User image naming guidelines. I notice you do have one that does that you are not currently using at Image:User Vallen signature.jpg. I would suggest you switch your signature to use that one from this point onwards as the other image is at risk of deletion. --Lemming64 16:41, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the note Lemming64 but could you point me to the part that I am violating and the policy? I don't see what you are talking about as I had originally made this icon to work with the signature guidelines. --File:VallenIconwhitesmall.JPG Vallen Frostweaver 20:01, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
- I see it now. It's the incorrect naming of it as Vallen Frostweaver preceding it. I'll fix it up. -- Vallen Frostweaver 20:12, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
- Ok, I need help. How do I change all those that already exist without botting them? I think I messed up here. -- Vallen Frostweaver 20:14, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
- You need to edit all links manually if you can't use a bot. Check the "What links here" on the old image page and edit away.. A lot to do I guess. :( (I guess you could request a bot to do it if it's alot of pages, since that also helps not to ping ppls watchlists) - anja 08:19, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. I'll request a bot. Plus I have about 3 more signature images to get rid of now so once I get it straightened out I'll add those to the delete list unless they won't be affected then I'll add them before. -- Vallen Frostweaver 12:57, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
- Bot has been denied since user signature icons are not required toi have a user prefix but I have made the change none-the-less to match so as to avoid any problems in the future. I'll update the delete tags again. -- Vallen Frostweaver 14:54, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
- Updated. 2 to be deleted 2 to stay. Thanks everyone for the help. -- Vallen Frostweaver 14:58, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
- Just to clarify this, the current policy doesn't require you to have that "User" part in the sig's filename, it's merely a suggestion that was added by Gem without previous discussion. So you weren't violating any policies, Vallen. If we're going to insist on expecting everyone to abide by this naming rule, then I'll have to insist we revert Gem's edit and have a proper discussion about it first. --Dirigible 21:46, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
- Feel free to act as you see fit. This case was avoided and I did find I had a couple extra unneeded icons hanging out there. Besides, I've changed my icon name to make is easier and Lemming64 hasn't persued me to change it beyond the first request. Things with me are fine but if you want to take precautions for the future in case tyhere is similar confusion that is up to you (and I think that's well and good also). -- Vallen Frostweaver 00:26, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
- Because it is a user image, it falls under GWW:IMAGE and it's in that policy too (albeit under a mislabelled heading). - BeX 04:20, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
- Well whatever it falls under, I've changed mine to avoid any problems. If I need to change it further (meaning all the icons on user pages) then I'll resubmit for a bot since I'd be pinging the user pages same as a bot would if I were to manually do it (and other users would have to as well now I notice). You guys discuss this on the GWW:IMAGE talk page then and see if it needs correcting. As far as I can see I'm done with it until someone either clarifies the policy mislabeled heading, interprets it to avoid user page pinging and suggesting users just change their icon naming without need to go replace the old image, or you just leave it to be interpretted as user sig images not needing that naming format (or whatever). Let me know if I need to do anything else because at this point I'm getting a little flustered. -- Vallen Frostweaver 12:56, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

Links[edit]
[1] I thought I'd ask before changing anything. :) - BeX 14:02, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks. It was origianlly that the 'Of fortitude' was supposed to be the primary since it follows common rules of first letter capitalized but I have no preference and others don't seem to care so I'll change my current links to be 'Of Fortitude'. -- Vallen Frostweaver 14:48, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
- All changed. -- Vallen Frostweaver 14:50, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
- I wasn't sure if it should be a redirect or not but I suppose someone will eventually need it and make it. :P - BeX 16:18, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Sword Tank Build[edit]
Hey, new user here, Drakelstorm3933, I was looking at your sword tanker build and saw that you use Sever Artery. Imo, the build looks like it works efficiently in defensive areas, only thing is that you could up the damage a bit with Barbarous Slice. :) Just a tip, although the adrenal cost is more and bleeding duration less, damage goes up. and if you don't like the idea, don't even pay attention to it. Looks nice tho man, keep up the good work —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Drakelstorm3933 (talk • contribs) at 01:26, 13 January 2009 (UTC).
