The Crag[edit]
The Crag a 6v6 relic map? Really? I've played this game from day one, but I have never seen this map being used for 6v6 Relic runs. Aren't you confused with another map? -- (CoRrRan / talk) 13:03, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
- heh, no i'm not confused. this was during beta and never made release. instead of turning the relic into the ghostly hero, there was a sort of altar with a colored flame on the two sides if i remember correctly. i was kinda tweaked that they removed it b/c i thought it was fun. --VVong|BA 14:48, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
- Was that the first or the second BWE? I think I wasn't too focussed on the PvP side of things yet. -- (CoRrRan / talk) 18:15, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
- well, apparently i was wrong. there WAS a ghostly. i was pretty sure there was an altar too, but maybe not? the pic shows a ghostly and 6 players... [1]. if i had to guess, i'd say it was still there in the 2nd bwe. but my memory apparently isn't very reliable so no guarantees that i'm right. --VVong|BA 20:43, 2 July 2007 (UTC)
- Hmm, strange. I've got a screenshot, taken on November 6th, 2004, and the skillbar looks quite different. November 2004 was AFAIK BWE 2, right? piccy. Your skill bar looks like something more evolved already. -- (CoRrRan / talk) 21:22, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

Comment[edit]
Hey Wongba, I've seen that you modified Way of the Fox to include a note on blocking. I asked Aiiane why he/she added that note, perhaps you also have an opinion? Perhaps I'm missing something and I want to know what you guys think on this. See: User_talk:Aiiane#Block. Thx! -- (CoRrRan / talk) 21:22, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
Your sig[edit]
Hi, your sig doesn't currently conform to the signature policy. If you want to use a different name in your sig than your user name is, you also need ot register that user name and make it's user page a redirect to your user page. This means that you need to register User:VVong and make it's user page a redirect to User:Wongba. Thanks. :) -- (gem / talk) 08:30, 14 July 2007 (UTC)
Linking to category-pages and image-pages[edit]
You know you can create links to category-pages by adding a colon ":" before the name of the link? Something like [[:Category:Bugs]]
gives Category:Bugs. If you already knew this, consider this comment as never being typed. :) -- (CoRrRan / talk) 11:26, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
Insignia box[edit]
Please be careful about the information you are removing. The headgear/attribute info still needs to be retained, as many headgear types are bound to only one attribute (in the case of ele stuff or other professions before Droks). - BeX 04:18, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
- take a closer look at what i removed. i didn't remove any important headgear att info. if u don't trust me to do it, then do it urself. --VVong|BA 04:55, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
- See Breyshaw for an example. If I had the time, I would do it myself, but I don't, so I thought I'd ask you politely. I spent a lot of time collecting all of that information, and it is not listed anywhere else on the wiki, so I'd like to see it retained. - BeX 05:47, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
- all i'm saying is that i'm spending my time to do this so maybe you could refrain from mothering me unless i've demonstrated that i require it. --VVong|BA 14:13, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
- okay, time to eat some humble pie. i do see now that i was hasty and didn't retain the information u were referring to and i'll add it back. sorry about giving u attitude about it earlier as i wasn't understanding ur point. u were right, i was wrong. --VVong|BA 19:33, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
- No worries, the articles are spot on now. :) - BeX 04:57, 28 July 2007 (UTC)

Sandbox[edit]
Your sandbox is showing up in the deletion category, any idea why? - anja 20:33, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

Item infoboxing[edit]
In the process you kinda lost the campaign listing, which indicates in which campaigns the insignia can be dropped. (Or that was the idea, at least) - anja 16:10, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
- i took my cue from the rune articles. but if u think about it, the listing never made a lot of sense. why list core and then the individual campaigns? i can understand other chapters getting something like assassin runes looking like: Factions, PvP. and mesmer runes looking like: Core. but the current method didn't make sense. --VVong|BA 16:15, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
- I think the meaning was "drop in core areas", not "drops everywhere". But I agree, it doesn't really make sense. But just listing core is a bit misleading too. - anja 16:23, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
- hmm. okay thats true. what's ur proposition? --VVong|BA 16:27, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
- If we want to be precise, we should simply list Core, as you can get it with any campaign (via trader). Just the drop locations vary, but in a field "Campaign" I would not automatically look for drop locations. poke | talk 16:35, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
- But it isn't core, you can't unlock certain insignias if you don't own a certain campaign. - anja 16:58, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
- so what about my earlier suggestion to list the specific campaign for non-core professions along w/ PvP? u're required to have factions to unlock assassin insignia unless u have a PvP unlock pack. for the core professions just put core. --VVong|BA 17:12, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
- Sounds like a good solution. - anja 17:23, 18 December 2007 (UTC)

how i play[edit]
if i see a present on the ice, i click on it and let my char walk towards it, and immediatly after he picked it up walk back with my mouse to the avatar, and i get Icy Ground every time. Do you play with W and use the speed buff? —ZerphaThe Improver 10:48, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
- btw, what layout should i follow? There is no rule that says how the tips section exactly should look like. i do not know anything that speaks against creating sub-headlines. —ZerphaThe Improver 10:50, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
- okay, i reread what i wrote and maybe i was a bit harsh, but i was upset that good info got deleted. if u have never avoided the effect, try accounting for network lag. i always start moving away before i actually see the animation for picking the present up so i'm already moving as the pickup animation shows sometimes. as for the style, the problem was mostly in the headers. they were all improperly capitalized. i didn't even bother reading the rest. follow this formatting guide for the headers and it should be no problem for u to reinstate the whole thing. but leave the bit about avoiding icy ground in this time. --VVong|BA 18:28, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
- wow yes, you're right with icy ground :P sorry, suppose i did not notice that it doesn't occur due to the movement decrease with the present in hand or so :P. But it looks like this only works when picking it up for the first time. after the game, i dropped it on the ice, walked in the snow, picked it up again and then got hit by Icy Ground every time i repeated this try. Maybe i was only too stupid, but however, this really works :] Thanks so far, I'll try to add the notes again according to this formatting guide. —ZerphaThe Improver 20:48, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
- i have avoided the effect 3 times in a row in the same game.

- ok, i've now also seen my char once with this picking-up-and-walking-at-the-same-time-error, but similiar things also happened to me before...well but that does actually not affect the game. but i now know how it actually always works:
- do not use the mouse to walk after having picked up the presents...at least that did not work for me no matter how fast i clicked
- do not click the keyboard before having grabbed the present
- at best, click on the present with the mouse, and then when your char stats to pick up the present, immediatly use your keyboard arrors to move. this now also worked after having dropped the present :) —ZerphaThe Improver 00:32, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

What the Fuck?[edit]
What the fuck man? Why would you remove a really good image to put up a piece of shit you took yourself, like you did earlier on the scarcrow mask page? If you want to change the format that's cool but if you suck at taking screen shots don't replace quality images with shit, just use the old ones in the coding. You keep doing this and it's not cool.
- Tone down. There's no need to go all hostile over an image that is easily restored anyway. - anja 09:33, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
- chill man. i took no images myself and uploaded nothing. u can check my contributions. all i did was add the armor art infobox. it uses a naming convention for the images displayed, and those images must have been uploaded earlier and not used. if u want different images, feel free to replace them. --VVong|BA 15:02, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
Hex Breaker[edit]
doesn't that make it aberrant? —ZerphaThe Improver 21:08, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
- yeah, i would seem anomalous. go ahead and add the tag if u want. --VVong|BA 21:18, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Reverting[edit]
Please, let's not start a revert war in violation of policy. As for the issue: we record region, not world. Backsword 22:46, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
- that doesn't even make sense. if the world is the battle isles how can u say that the region is the jade sea? should we not go w/ whats in game when u hit the "m" button? even if u were to go w/ region, the background is from shing jea and not the jade sea. --VVong|BA 23:07, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
- The map shows what world you are in, which for any event like this will be the PvP world. Backsword 23:13, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
Weaponsmith item ordering[edit]
Any particular reason you went through and put a bunch of the weaponsmith items out of order? Moving daggers and ritualist weapons to the bottom of the list seems kinda silly. Guild_Wars_Wiki:Formatting/NPCs states that these items should be listed in the same order they are offered from the weaponsmith, or by profession - not by campaign or campaign profession. - Aeon Supernova 00:04, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
- hmm. i guess u have a point. i didn't see that they could be listed in the order they're offered. but the changes i made aren't against formatting rules either. when they say order by profession, they mean the order that i put them in. Guild Wars Wiki:Formatting/Professions. if u feel strongly about it, go ahead and revert. just note however that they aren't incorrect in their current form. --VVong|BA 12:38, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
Concise Skill Descriptions[edit]

re: reply on regina page[edit]
for some reason i cant add to that thread anymore ...anyway what u wrote just confirms what ive said abt the amount of synchers doubling and the situation getting worse. how well would ur friend have done if he hadnt synched with you? im at r7 gamer i managed r6 before i started synching if ur trying to max not synching isnt an option anymore .... gw2 is coming out and nobody wants to miss out on gw2 events to go play the old stuff.and yes we've all pwned gimp and the rest of plz synch troupe at some point but 90% of the ppl playing aren't on our level and dont get the oportunity to play with experienced players if everyone is synching. on a side note ive played against/with ur bo mo para quite a few times ^^ -sub 85.176.87.247 17:40, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
- odd. i'm not sure why u couldn't add to that thread. it should work when u hit the edit button on the side of the page.
- anyways, i remember u too but only from this weekend. u were playing w/ another subgreen or something at the time? i don't know how well he would have done w/o syncing w/ me, but the fact that he came out better than me against wind/plz means something i think. i'm not saying u don't have a point. if u're actually trying to max the title, then syncing really is the only way to play b/c there's so little time left. i was only shooting for rank 6 b/c i think gosu sounds cool. --VVong|BA 18:31, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
i thought the edit at the top was for the thread above mine(duh). its still a big advantage over the guys going into games without a guildie to hold there hands and give them a few tips. idk why ppl insist on defending synching. im sure being an unknown was a large factor in his doing better than u....if i remember u from before im sure they do too which means they'll put a bit more effort into downing u than him. sub green is cult, there are a few players using that handle now. actually they should make über micro max cause all the other title names suck85.176.87.247 18:42, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
- btw, if u have any useful tips for the minigames, feel free to add them in. i kinda baby the dragon arena article, so i'm always looking to improve it. there's some tips in there i don't particularly agree w/, but i'm sure they may be useful for some ppl. there's lots of tips in the snowball article that i think are obvious enuf that they didn't need to be listed, but again, maybe they're useful for others. check them out if u haven't already. --VVong|BA 20:32, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
- hey sub, if u ever get around to reading this page again, do u recall the reward for getting a flawless in the dragon arena? i have never gotten one so i don't know what it is. another player has mentioned he thought it was just 50 faction, but was unsure and wanted confirmation. also, i should congratulate u on ur rank 7. i wasn't really thinking about it earlier, but that is quite an achievement. i think i remember seeing one player during the last snowball fight reach rank 7. unfortunately i can't seem to recall the character name. perhaps that was u? --VVong|BA 22:56, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
Moving pages[edit]
When moving pages never copy the content using copy&paste. That is a license violation. Use the move function always and if the target page already exists, request a speedy deletion for it. I fixed the pages now. poke | talk 21:45, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
