Multiple tables or one[edit]

I think it might be easier for people to contribute if you combined everything into one table, e.g.

Amber weapons
Amber item Item rarity ID'd value Common mat Common count Rare mat Rare count Req dmg Signature
Staff white 62 wood 10 No No 9 10-20 Yumiko
Staff blue 93 wood 16 No No 12 11-21 Yumiko
Staff gold 348 wood 19 No No 13 max Yumiko
Wand gold 208 dust 17 No No 13 max Yumiko

Otherwise, folks have to search for the table. Collating is also easier because you can spot patterns by seeing all the data together. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 20:36, 20 May 2011 (UTC)

Yeah I was wondering how to get a running statistical total and such, thanks I'll try that.Yumiko ^,~ 05:37, 21 May 2011 (UTC)
If you use firefox, there's a useful mod called table2clipboard that can, well, convert a table into the clipboard, suitable for pasting into Excel. (Sometimes, you need to paste to a text editor first, depending on the formatting.) — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 07:11, 21 May 2011 (UTC)
Yeah not too sure about that. Might be even more work than this currently, which I will use.Yumiko ^,~ 01:54, 22 May 2011 (UTC)

Similar table for remains, essences[edit]

Here's the same idea for combining the trophy research. Feel free to use/ignore/modify as appropriate.

Salvaging remains and essences

This table is used to cover expert salvage from the various remains trophies: Azure, Dark, Demonic, Ghostly, Smoking, or Unctuous. It can also be used for the essences: Celestial, Diamond Djinn, Immolated Djinn, Ruby Djinn Sapphire Djinn, Water Djinn, or Vaettir.

Some players believe that some of these items might expert salvage into ecto or other valued rare mats not current documented in the wiki.

Remains/Essence trophy # of Trophies mat Common count Rare mat Rare count Signature
Azure 2 Dust 1 No No Yumiko

Got it fixed as it was reversed. It was one trophy 2 dust.Yumiko ^,~ 02:15, 22 May 2011 (UTC)

Bad researcher[edit]

I apologize for not recording my own results. Unusually for me, I've been farming VQs for faction (generally, I can manage 1-2 farms before I get bored)...so I have found lots of amber weapons. I've been salvaging the whites, IDing the others (and salvaging only if highly or cheap). So far: no amber has turned up.

Although I might not have quite the level of detail you are hoping for, I'll start keeping better track. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 02:15, 22 May 2011 (UTC)

Merged old amber wand research with mine.[edit]

The old one from 2007 and 2008 was copied and merged with mine and now a link is on the main page for amber wands for my table. I kept the old data including signatures intact yet I threw one out because it had missing data.Yumiko ^,~ 15:42, 22 May 2011 (UTC)

Okay, I've still been bad and have failed to record any amber salvage. However, despite e-salvaging dozens of amber items of various colors and salvaging potential, I have yet to see any amber. (Same goes for jade items.) I have a much higher drop rate of Ruby Mauls → Rubies. (About 1x/30 e-sal, mebbe better.) — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 09:25, 29 May 2011 (UTC)
only once have I ever seen amber and jade salvage and it was a non HS staff. This was so long ago I cannot record it on here. I am getting a lot of dust, about 80% of all weapon types are dust/wood with amber wands being near 100% dust. Meaning you'll have 10 stacks of each probably before finding one amber chunk.Yumiko ^,~ 15:53, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
