Component pages

Can you make sure when making component pages that the Overview images can be coloured but any component images should be gray, and not relabelled as coloured. There is a reason the components were chosen to be gray only, buried somewhere in the talk pages of the armor section. Also, check Assassin_Shing_Jea_armor/Female for the correct filename convention. Changing the filename system leaves images behind when they get replaced. If you see any galleries where the images look incorrect, but are correctly named, make a note on the talk page that the images need updating, rather than switching the order of the links around. i had only renamed them because it was the color I had, and I did not want to remove it. Some of them were mixed, and I had no idea what the color was. I had renamed it so there would be an option for colored components (if needed be) and then grey for original. If there was a discussion against this, I musta missed it... would be nice if u could link it, cause I can't really shuffle through everything. I understand what you are saying that it will just get lost if it gets replaced, but i would appreciate it if that is to happen, that they put the delete tag to it. Or maybe in some way it will get found somehow and be deleted. I'm surprised nobody had mentioned this earlier until I brought up armor components in somebody else's talk page. hmm... Emily? You speak as if I know these people by name. In any case, I guess i'll just only upload "grey" armor like what everybody wants. There is a long discussion about it on Talk:Armor. I think it occured before you signed up here, because I remember seeing you when you started uploading armor pictures. User:Emily Diehl is the arenanet representative that is uploading all the armor renders. Most of the people working on the armor section know who is being referred to when you say Emily, sorry. While it is nice to have pictures up, it's better to following the style and formatting from the very beginning so we dont have the huge amount of discrepancies that needed months to fix, like gwiki did. If you don't have the images, it's fine to not have any up. Someone else can provide the blank spots you leave. - BeX 01:05, 21 April 2007 (EDT)

I see the discussion on it, but it just seems like it's just preference, and if it does go against a policy or really bugged anybody, then that person could go ahead and delete the image, even if leaving it blank. I can see the renaming it to be a problem when uploading it to a correct name and me changing, and I am positively sure I have made mistakes on some pages where I have a shift key habit. some i went back to fix, others... I don't know where they went.. hopefully somebody else catches it. If comparing to gwiki, it is a messy website, and sorry if I'm making official wiki messy, also =P, but i thought it would be okay since it will stand there for now until somebody could clean it up with the right image colors etc.--Zemmy 01:35, 21 April 2007 (EDT)

The stuff you have up isn't much of a problem now, as long as other people don't start doing it too. I've half written the style and formatting for the armor pages, so that'll show up soon. I wouldn't worry about deleting anything yet, but I just really left these messages so in the future you can remember this stuff and there will be less to tidy up later. :) - BeX 04:00, 21 April 2007 (EDT)

Ancient Scythe

Would you like to reupload your pictures on the Ancient Scythe page under the new filenames? I'd do it for you but then it looks like I took the pictures, and I'd rather you get attribution for your work. If you didn't save copies on your harddrive, use the page history to find the old filenames and save them so you can reupload them. :) - BeX 00:57, 3 May 2007 (EDT)

NPCs in location articles

I noticed that you placed that information in the talk pages of Tasca's Demise, Perdition Rock and Ice Floe, with the reasoning that it's still incomplete. I honestly don't think there's a need for that. Any information is better than nothing at all, so adding your findings is definitely an improvement over what's already there. If there's more to add or something to correct, it'll happen even on the main article page. As a wiki, this site will never really be complete, there'll always be more to add; writing these articles is going to be a gradual process. So, yeah, I think those lists should go directly on the main article without worrying too much about them being incomplete. :) --Dirigible 13:52, 9 May 2007 (EDT)
