Cruel

Cruel is a weapon upgrade that lengthens the duration of the Deep wound condition that you inflict upon your foes by 33%. This affects conditions inflicted by any skill, not just from attack skills, as long as the weapon is equipped when the skill is used.

Despite the in-game description, while a Cruel weapon is equipped, the duration of any Deep wound inflicted by a skill will be increased, even if the skill is self-targeting (such as "It's just a flesh wound.").
