The consumable sets... I am sure many people know what I am talking about. For those who do not know, the unholy trio is a set of consumables which affects the whole party and bestows a wide variety of bonuses on them. Of those items, the Essence of Celerity is by far the most ridiculous. It comes to the point that parties rely on it to survive in certain missions. From the above screenshot, you can see that the average pug is unable to do anything in DoA without consumables that make you win. And even then most of them still manage to fail.

Originally, success in GW was based on the player's skill (yes, SKILL, not SKILLS) instead of the build and the consumables you bring with you. The entire PvE campaign was meant to prepare you for the ultimate test of skill in the game - Guild versus Guild. Nowadays, nothing in the game comes even close to preparing you for any form of PvP. If you fail at a mission, you can grab some builds from pvxwiki and let heroes do the mission for you. You can farm festival items so DP is meaningless and you can win through sheer persistence. Or you can (and this is by far the worst) eliminate the 'Hard' part from Hard Mode. Because that is what party-wide consumables do.
