Moss Spiders could be found in Ascalon before the Searing. When they grow in their natural environment they can't be charmed to be used as animal companions, so in order to charm one, a ranger must breed and raise it from its very egg. Wild Moss Spiders are considered to be extinct now.

- Sometimes the Moss Spiders in Green Hills County are used to death level, as a replacement for Charr.
