Collectors weapons by profession[edit]

So, is it worth starting something like this on here for the various professions? Tedious job, but quite useful. Eerie Moss 06:06, 17 May 2007 (EDT)

Definitely, those are some of the most useful pages on gwiki. I wonder if there already is something like it though. I think someone did the elite lists. - BeX 07:05, 17 May 2007 (EDT)

Why is there no page for locations in pre-searing Prophesies with the excellent detail for collectors you have for post pre-searing Prophesies? Pre is where most people need the most help since it is where it all begins. I've looked but found only a general page. But there is no page for specific pre-searing collectors. Will a more talented person please add a pre-searing collector page? Please? Thank you. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Thescottguy .

Because no one has gotten around to it yet. If you feel so strongly about it, you should start one. You don't have to complete the whole thing in one go, and you don't need fancy formatting if you're not sure how to do it. Just add a bits of details and other people who come across it will help flesh it out. -- ab.er.rant sig 09:33, 2 July 2007 (UTC)

Collector vs Crafted armor[edit]

I'm at a loss to understand the statement "The armor they [collectors] provide is usually slightly better than the typical armor you buy from the Armor crafters in the same region." A side-by-side comparison of the armor ratings for collector and crafter armor in each region seems to show that crafters produce armor as good or better. In addition you can get it sooner, since some of the collectors with the most important pieces are deep in each region. For example, a Ranger can get 40 armor crafted in Ascalon City, which is better than any collector armor available until reaching Kryta. Am I missing something, or does this statement need removal or revision? BrettM 21:00, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

Feel free to revise. — Eloc 02:18, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
Plus, some of the collector armour cannot be upgraded by insignias which is an obvious flaw in the statement ( I know those factions armours look awful anyway ) --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngAlex 20:13, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

Non proph classes concerning armor collectors.[edit]

If you talk to them with a non proph or non core profession, and they usually have armor as the items they'll give, they'll tell you have ran out of stuff. Yumiko ^,~ 04:05, 14 May 2012 (UTC)

Dye[edit]

Should it be noted, unless proven otherwise, that NO Collector ( or weaponsmith even?) will ever let you DYE their purchased Weapons? ( Note: You can buy an offhand item, it will dye; but you buy their weapon, and it wont ) b.s. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 174.100.117.96 (talk • contribs) at 16:15, 1 August 2012 (UTC).

Yep. Noted it on three pages. -- ab.er.rant User Ab.er.rant Sig.png 08:34, 1 August 2012 (UTC)
The Gemstone Staff dyes - an irregularity? :/ Also the Communing Staff from Monastery quartermasters dyes for sure. Perhaps we should create a list of the collector items that do dye, rather than the ones that don't? File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.jpg Chieftain Alex 09:23, 1 August 2012 (UTC)

Double-clicking on a consumable in the list[edit]

I'm not really sure where to ask this, but if you're exchanging trophies for a consumable like the special event items, does double-clicking on the item in the list of rewards automatically ACQUIRE AND USE one of the item? I just turned in a whole bunch of monster trophies to the Halloween collectors yesterday and somehow ended up with one less Halloween item than I calculated. After going over the numbers again, this is the only explanation I can think of, and I remember when it most likely happened (though I was not paying attention to if there were any animations at the time). 96.246.211.129 19:30, 20 October 2013 (UTC)
