Shouldn't the "History of Tyria" be unloaded into its own article? It could be linked from here, but it seems out of place in a location article. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 16:39, 20 March 2007 (EDT)

I agree. See, for instance, Timeline. -- Lord Ehzed 17:08, 20 March 2007 (EDT)

[edit] Kingdom Dispute

"This continent is often referred to as "The Kingdoms of Tyria" by foriegners; this is likely because this continent contains the only four known kingdoms in the world (Ascalon, Kryta, Orr, and the Deldrimor Dwarves) and these kingdoms' territories make up much of the inhabital land of the continent."

There is no way this is worded right. Perhaps Cantha is an "Empire" and Elona is a "Nation", but technically they are kingdoms too! Or is this over the literal meaning of kingdom (as in the medieval "with-a-king" sense)? Image:Esig2.jpg Eldin 15:15, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

Well, technically, Orr is gone and Kryta has no current royal family in power. --77.98.23.140 15:37, 25 June 2007 (UTC)
That note should either be deleted or changed. No way are the Tyria kingdoms the ONLY kingdoms in the world. Half of them have lost their monarchy (Orr, Kryta), so to be still called The "Kingdoms" of Tyria isn't literally kingdoms, just nations. brains12 (talk) 14:07, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

Well, I have gone into their and deleted it if that was allowed.74.225.103.52

[edit] This sentence

"Tyria and Elona are part of the same unnamed supercontinent, the border between Tyria and Elona is vaguely defined and fairly arbitrary, some NPCs, such as Fangfa Tai and Acolyte Norge, refer to the Crystal Desert as part of Elona. The Crystal Desert is listed here because it is on the same map as Tyria, and is part of the Prophecies campaign. "

Needs to be reworded, doesnt sound grammatically correct. I would do it myself, except i have no idea what it's trying to say brains12 (talk) 14:10, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

Well, this si just a thought, since vizer Khilbron or something is still left, same with 3 or 4 other people, won't that mean it is a kingdom of orr still? XD And yes, you are right, that isn't worded correctly.

Fixed the grammar issue.Ashes Of Doom 02:45, 2 December 2007 (UTC)

Seems fairly redundant to me, so I removed it. There is some argument that the Crystal Desert could be part of Elona, not Tyria, but it's fairly obviously in Tyria from my point of view, and that sentence doesn't have much function except to confuse people. As far as I can tell Tyria refers both to the whole world and the main continent, including Elona. The Crystal Desert is part of Elona, but since Elona is part of Tyria, the Cyrstal desert is both part of Tyria and Elona. Tyria and Elona are used separately because of Campaign separation, but it's the same continent. MithImage:User MithranArkanere Star.pngTalk 04:56, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
Before Factions and Nightfall, it was much simpler. Because then Tyria was the world, and Elona and Cantha were just obscure places you heard about in the Crystal Desert and from the Canthan Ambassador. :) Biscuits Image:User Biscuits sig.png 18:10, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
Well it's pretty easy to determine where Cantha starts/ends considering it's an island continent, similar to Australia. — Eloc 00:53, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
But Cantha is still part of Tyria. Australia part of Earth. :) Much easier when the world doesn't share its name with one of the continents! Biscuits Image:User Biscuits sig.png 09:46, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
