It can also be found at the low level mantids near Shing Jea Monastary. There is an underground way there, and a lot of mantid drop the venerable mantid pincers there.

-I've killed quite a few of the low level Mantids in the Sunqua Vale (Including in the northern temple area) and I believe you may be getting Mantid Pincer and Venerable Mantid Pincer mixed up. As far as I can tell, you can only get the Venerable varity from the higher level Mantid's(17+) that can be found in Wajjun Bazaar and Xaquang Skyway. Hope this helps.
