Hi all.

My name is Martin Kerstein, and I am the European Community Team Lead for Guild Wars. I work for Ncsoft Europe since 2006, and our HQ is based in the beautiful city of Brighton (UK). Part of my job is being responsible for coordinating the European Community Coordinators – say hallo to my lovely colleagues Julien Crevits, who is looking after the French-speaking community, and Peter Verhelst, who is taking care of the Spanish-speaking community. Also say hello to my American colleague Regina Buenaobra, who is working directly at ArenaNet.

I am also looking after the German-speaking community, being a liaison between them and ArenaNet. I also plan, coordinate and attend conventions, player meets and tournaments, doing press demos, help players if they have problems, take care of the official German website, browse the fansite boards etc.

I am a passionate gamer, I started with Pong (seriously) and I have played Guild Wars since the Beta Weekends. I prefer to play melee and close combat characters, I like to be where the action is. At the moment, I am mostly getting owned in GvG ;)

Hallo.

Mein Name ist Martin Kerstein, und ich bin der europäische Community Team Lead für Guild Wars. Ich arbeite seit 2006 für NCsoft Europe, und unser Büro befindet sich im wunderschönen Brighton (UK). Teil meines Aufgabenbereiches ist die Koordinierung der europäischen Community Coordinatoren – ein kräftiges Hallo für meine sehr netten Kollegen Julien Crevits, der sich um die französisch sprechende Community kümmert, und Peter Verhelst, der für die spanisch sprechende Community zuständig ist. Begrüßt auch meine amerikanische Kollegin Regina Buenaobra, die direkt bei ArenaNet arbeitet.

Weiterhin kümmere ich mich um die deutschsprachige Community, ich bin die Schnittstelle zwischen den Spielern und ArenaNet. Außerdem plane und koordiniere ich Messen, Spielertreffen und Turniere, helfe Spielern, wenn sie Probleme haben, gebe Pressedemos, kümmere mich um die offizielle deutsche Webseite, lese die Foren auf den Fanseiten etc.

Ich bin ein leidenschaftlicher Gamer, ich habe mit Pong angefangen (ernsthaft), und spiele Guild Wars seit den Beta Wochenenden. Als Charaktere bevorzuge ich Nahkämpfer, ich stürze mich gerne mitten ins Getümmel. Momentan lasse ich mich meistens im GvG verhauen.;)
