Has it really been more than a year since I walked out into Pre-Searing?

Hi there! I am *still* addicted to Guild Wars and this wiki. Kudos to all the contributors that make this site the best source for hopeless cases like myself!

Feel free to browse my little corner of the wiki. (Building this user page is the best way for me to learn how NOT to be intimidated by wiki markup. so expect things to constantly change in here.) Normally, I am one of those lurker-types, but I try to contribute to the main space as time and skill permits.

Currently, I'm pursuing an English / Communications Degree and occasionally working as a copy editor/journalist. (In other words, I tend to browse the Category:Cleanup or Stub sections most often.) Feel free to ask for my help or question my edits, I have a lot to learn about the wiki!

When I'm not obsessing over Guild Wars, I waste time with plenty of other game-related pursuits, especially tabletop RPGs.

• Contribute more to this wiki.
• Stand on the Lucky Rings and watch my savings drain away (always in progress...)
• Beat 2,000+ people at Whack-a-Drake and/or Dragon Arena! (I'll play with or without sugar items, your choice!)
• Get better at beetle races. (I was never good at racing games)
• Buy as many skills as I possibly can manage. (Almost there, thanks to Balthazar faction...But my Ele, Rit & Derv have all their main skills, at least.)
• Improve at PvP (thanks for not laughing..)
• Cross my fingers and hope I get a Djinn in 22 months. ^-^ My guildie bought me one, about a year early! Squeee! So pretty.
• Answer as many newbie questions I can for players in-game and then send them to the wiki...

We are The Lesser Horse Men in honor of the book Good Omens by Terry Pratchett & Neil Gaiman. Our tag, [BNKY] is the name of Death's horse, Binky, and our guild cloak sports the great turtle A-Tuin from the Discworld series. (So, it's a big Luxon turtle; close enough. What would a Terry Pratchett inspired guild be without a turtle, after all?) Most members have at least one character who's name is based on, or styled after, Lesser Horsemen names from Good Omens.

What exactly is a Lesser Horsemen-like name, you ask? Well, in essence, it's a name representing something you may not like very much, like Grievous Bodily Harm, Cruelty to Animals, or No Alcohol Lager. I highly recommend the book. It's got everything: angels, demons, witches, bikers and the funniest Apocalypse ever.

We're primarily a PvE guild, but look forward to improving our not-so-good PvP skills. (Ironically, when we tried our first embarrassing foray into GvG, we were randomly thrown against another Discworld-inspired guild, the Morporkian Mercenaries, who deserve kudos for dispensing all the excellent PvP advice while laughing their heads off. ^-^ Thanks again!)

BNKY was formed by my group of RL friends who often sit in my living room while playing, and we lead our own small alliance of casual guilds owned by friends and family. We all have work, school and other things keeping us busy, so we tend to do things at a pretty laid back pace. (When we were part of the Shyft Machine [Myth] alliance, I made an attempt at keeping up our guild page here, but once that disbanded, I decided to let it lapse, as we are small / casual enough to make a whole page unnecessary. Perhaps it will be resurrected one day.)
