- Benefits
- At level 20, upon gaining the first rank (Kurzick or Luxon Supporter), the following skills, which scale in power with Allegiance rank, become available from a Kurzick Bureaucrat or a Luxon Scavenger for 3000 faction point each:
- The Kurzick and Luxon versions are considered separate skills, however you cannot simultaneously equip both a Kurzick skill and a Luxon skill.
[edit] Acquisition
Transfer the respective faction points to either a Kurzick Bureaucrat or a Luxon Scavenger. Faction points can be transferred in several ways (shown in table below). Depending on the method used, the amount of faction points transferred does not correspond with the amount gained towards the progress of this title track.
| Method | Faction points needed to transfer | Faction points progress gained |
|---|---|---|
| Donate faction points to your guild1 | 5,000 | 10,000 |
| Exchange faction points for Amber Chunks or Jadeite Shards | 1,000 | 1,000 |
| Exchange faction points for Passage Scrolls to either Urgoz's Warren or The Deep | 1,000 | 1,000 |
| Exchange faction points for Kurzick or Luxon skills | 3,000 | 6,000 |
- You must be in a guild with allegiance to the appropriate faction in order to transfer faction in this manner.
Unlike other reputation titles, faction points you earn don't count directly to the title. You must earn the faction points, and then transfer them. You can have a maximum of 10,000 unspent faction on your account. Any further faction you earn after reaching the cap is wasted, so it's advisable to spend the faction before that point.
The faction can be earned by:
- Completing quests in the factions' respective regions.
- Fighting in Alliance Battles
- Fighting in the competitive missions Fort Aspenwood and The Jade Quarry
- Playing in the faction's challenge missions
- Through kills after receiving the blessing from Kurzick or Luxon Priests (getting Blessing of the Kurzicks and Blessing of the Luxons respectively). In the use of blessings, this title has some synergy with the Vanquisher title.
- Completing the Arborstone and Boreas Seabed missions the first time per character.
- Bribing the priest of the opposing faction to activate a resurrection shrine.
[edit] Recommended point farming
- Alliance Battles
- Alliance battles provide one of the quickest ways to gain faction points.
- Echovald Forest (Kurzick Faction)
- Fast faction farming or FFF involves teams that run the repeatable quest Securing Echovald Forest outside of Lutgardis Conservatory.
- Arborstone (explorable area) provides a relatively easy run to kill the four Stone Guardian bosses there, to reap the boss bounty under the Kurzick blessing.
- Duel of the Houses is a repeatable quest in Drazach Thicket. A strong team can complete this in a few minutes and it is fully hero/henchable. Frozen Soil is recommended to make things go faster as opponents all carry Resurrection Signet.
- Jade Sea (Luxon Faction)
- The Jade Arena is a repeatable quest in Archipelagos. A strong team can complete this in a few minutes and it is fully hero/henchable. Frozen Soil is recommended to make things go faster as opponents all carry Resurrection Signet.
- Scout the Coast is another repeatable quest; as with Securing Echovald Forest it can be completed with a team of four runners, or solo with three heroes and a henchman. This takes around two minutes per run.
[edit] Notes
- Allegiance skills' green numbers cover a rank range of 0...12.
- Assuming all faction is donated to your Guild (and thus gaining double points toward the title), to gain the title Savior of the Kurzicks, it will take 12500 repetitions of the quest Securing Echovald Forest. At a 90 second turnover, this equals 312.5 hours, or approx. 13 days to achieve. Repeating the quest that many times will yield 1,875
from the quest rewards alone.
[edit] Trivia
- There was a weekend event starting June 27th, 2007 to July 2nd, 2007 that doubled the amount of faction you received toward your title when you donated faction for Jadeite/Amber, Skills, and Guild faction totals.
