I second that. User Raine R.gif Raine - talk 03:22, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

One hit kills? Well, hitting man with 10-20 health results in one kill hit... Stop moaning, people tend to die during fights. It could be more balanced, but I dislike crying more than imbalanced stuff Gelei 16:24, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

Also, since when does Shard speak for 100% of the players in the game? --Wyn's Talk page Wyn 18:39, 23 December 2008 (UTC)
Let me translate it to people unfamiliar with the problems this game is facing. Here goes...
There is nothing fun about 1 hit kills, kill spells, spells that kill you, or attack skills that kill 3 people at once. There is nothing fun about 25v8. There is nothing fun about players against teams who exploit bugs. There is nothing fun about skills that prevent you from doing ANYTHING. There is nothing fun about ganking. There is nothing fun about stupid, pointless objectives. There is nothing fun about builds that cannot be countered in any way.
Do whatever you have to. Fire izzy, hire someone good at it, hire 3 people good at it, hire 8 people good at it, read GW1 suggestion pages, do fucking something to fix your bullshit game. Koda Kumi User Koda Kumi UT.jpeg talk 23:41, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
The statement (100% of players want the bullshit taken out of the game) was worded in such a way as to make anyone opposed an idiot. The matter of controversy shouldn't be "100%", but rather "bullshit" if you want to make that case. However, I think that's also summed up pretty well.
Also, my name shouldn't be up there, Koda (though, I appreciate it). I honestly haven't won Halls more than a half dozen times (though never with a gimmick build!), I have all of -zero- champ points, and I only open Obs when my boyfriend tells me that there's an interesting match up. I've clocked all of seven months of play, lol. Sure, I may be sort of insightful sometimes. But I really don't have the experience that I'd like someone in that position to have. As a side note, the people in that position don't have that kind of experience, either.
Sure, I can make suggestions on individual changes that I think would be good for the game. Sure, I can point out what's wrong and why it's wrong. I've learned a lot in seven months, yeah. But I know that I still have a lot more to learn; I see that more every time I play.
I've never claimed to be great. When I can make that claim, then I would consider balancing GW.
Even then...
Balancing something of this magnitude is a team effort. If a person were to do it on their own, things would largely be the way that person wanted them to be. You know, like Rangers are now. I would never say that everyone should make decisions on design (Some people on this wiki, and even more who aren't, don't understand skills that are broken. I refrained from saying "broken in PvP" because PvE should be balanced, too, damnit. Bloody hell, if they really need to, make an Easy Mode for people who can't deal with balanced PvE. Before anyone says, "Raine, you should play Hard Mode if NM PvE isn't fun", I'd like to say two things: (1) HM PvE isn't more fun; it's equally as unfun for the same reasons, but with higher numbers and perma Sprint on all the mobs and (2) I fail at (balanced; I have no problem with 3 necroes and 3 SF eles) PvE because the mob AI doesn't do the smart things that I've become accustomed to playing against (there are no spikes to stop, no kiting to punish, no positioning strategy whatsoever... Just stupidly high amounts of equally unfun pressure). </rant>
Anyway. Thank you, but no. =) User Raine R.gif Raine - talk 12:55, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
I was just summing people up who know what they are talking about. I cannot think of 8 people who have the dedication for such a task AND have knowledge about the game. Hell, I cannot ever think of 4 :P Koda Kumi User Koda Kumi UT.jpeg talk 19:16, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
I agree with this suggestion, but please rewrite it so it looks more like a suggestion and less like a flamebait. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:72.71.229.129 (talk).
While I agree with this suggestion, I feel it should be removed on the basis that we are more likely to get ANet to listen to us by leaving a bag of flaming crap on their doorstep than attempting to speak with them. --Jette 18:42, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
I'll edit it so it doesn't sound like the whole community is pissed. ~Shard User Shard Sig Icon.png 08:35, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
I agree with Jette. So far, asking politely has given excellent results and Anet agreed to balance their game.92.138.248.241 20:46, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
I agree, it's flamebait now. I'd write what I think about most of the appointed balancers, but I don't want to stir up things. Instead, I'll just limit myself to either supporting Raine, or keeping the game the way it is now. 145.94.74.23 14:05, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

How to fix Guild Wars[edit]

First off i just want to say ganking is fun. Now that i got that out of the way i'd also like to add in that this invisible aggression is killing me. Fix that you have one problem down. Read the bring back VoD post (i should have named it fix aggression) if you want to contribute to that problem. Next i honestly don't get how izzy can buff a skill like MoI soo much and think he is balancing. Are you crazy man?! Ok so once you have made some skill changes the game is fairly balanced... like thats ever going to happen.
