Complete log

Gaile Gray: Bonsoir.:)

Gaile Gray: I don't think anyone would base anything on that pathetic dog. ;P

Gaile Gray: Sorry, I can't see whispers because, well, then l can't see folks talking and that seems sort of rude.

Gaile Gray: Good question — let me ask about HA. BRB

Gaile Gray: *sigh*

Gaile Gray: Everytime I go around the corner, people are missing.

Gaile Gray: We don't have an intercom, but I want to buy one, the crackly one, and say...

Gaile Gray: Now hear this, we're talking to players right now, STAY AT YOUR BLOOMIN' DESKS!:)

Gaile Gray: So sorry, I don't have any work on HA but I will ask, I promise.

Gaile Gray: Yes, we will have news on campaign 4 soon. Including the fact we're working on campaign 4. ;p

Gaile Gray: The irony is that we are working on it, you know we're working on it, but we're not announcing we're working on it.:

Gaile Gray: Well, eventually we will, much to everyone's relief. And yes, it's ok for me to say that. :D

Gaile Gray: lam not going to go anywhere just now, so I won't be there, sorry.

Gaile Gray: Makes it easier to spot me, eh?

Gaile Gray: I don't know that there will be a mission for the Asura miniature; I believe it may be a code.

Gaile Gray: I do believe you will obtain the pet immediately.

Gaile Gray: Hard Mode - I wish I could, but details are not finalized quite yet, so no official word at present.

Gaile Gray: Id like to know about the PvE options for Mesmers, too, and improve bow skills. *yum*

Gaile Gray: Seductive, are you sure? That's pretty valuable

Gaile Gray: I agree with you mat it would be nice to see progress on the heroes and pets, too.

Gaile Gray: That's Seductive.:)

Gaile Gray: Didn't have one of those.

Gaile Gray: Remember, until PC Gamer is out, I'm sort of barred from discussing some things. With apologies.:(

Gaile Gray: PC Gamer may be in hands by Friday.

Gaile Gray: PC Gamer only because it's the soonest to hit the stands.

Gaile Gray: Yes, larger ignore list, although that makes me sad. I can ask, sure

Gaile Gray: Hall anniversaries? Hmmm... I like that idea a lot. Like a moosehead over the mantal decorative thingie?

Gaile Gray: I don't see a change in level cap; we'll discuss that later, I'm

Gaile Gray: But I don't use a hammer.:( Thank you, though!

Gaile Gray: I know that players have asked about marriages, and perhaps an NPC for that. I sure will ask again if that's possible

Gaile Gray: Ok, as usual, I have to say there are some things about which I know no new news, so to speak.

Gaile Gray: Those include: Storage, guild hall storage, hairdressers or...there's another one....

Gaile Gray: Many have asked to be able to play as a race other man human. What do you think about the idea?

Gaile Gray: Every campaign, people do ask for it.

Gaile Gray: *gasp!* You'd slay mini pets!?

Gaile Gray: Oh, man, nothing would tick me off more!

Gaile Gray: Poor little siege turtle, how could you, you meanie!:)

Gaile Gray: Would you like occupations like fishing? For reward? For gold... ?

Gaile Gray: It's been a long while since I played a game with cooking and such.

Gaile Gray: First game I played like that was AC, and I was "You're serious; People COOK in this game? What the heck?" :)

Gaile Gray: I don't know about character porting or that sort of thing. It's a fair question, but I've no word on that today.

Gaile Gray: No word on presents, but we're taking ALL your ideas and turning them into a spiffy table for the designers.

Gaile Gray: Poor Andrew, head buried in stats.:)

Gaile Gray: The instant that I can speak of... certain things... you can count on me speaking.

Gaile Gray: You would have to muzzle me to stop me talking.:)

Gaile Gray: Duct tape? :D

Gaile Gray: I don't have a mini-Mallyx, myself. And I think that one is particularly nice.

Gaile Gray: lavender, as I recall

Gaile Gray: No we don't hate farming, not at all! We only worry if it's professional, for real world money farming.

Gaile Gray: Titles need to be sorted out, I agree.

Gaile Gray: I would like to see AFKers and leechers dealt with, I agree with you

Gaile Gray: I don't know that mere is a means to do that, but I do agree they are irritating and very unsportsmanlike.:{

Gaile Gray: That's very kind, thank you for being so nice.:)

Gaile Gray: Tell me about the ecto glitch!

Gaile Gray: Sorry, was interrupted.

Gaile Gray: Have you posted the glitch somewhere?

Gaile Gray: Yes, I don't know that that is a current glitch, is it?

Gaile Gray: *lol* Good one. :)

Gaile Gray: Switching servers invites imbalance, though. As soon as a territory gets favor, everyone shifts.

Gaile Gray: Wouldn't that be sort of silly?

Gaile Gray: I was laughing at the comment about WTB lower case letters. :)

Gaile Gray: Pet controls — coming most assuredly!

Gaile Gray: Thank you, Ha Khann

Gaile Gray: There are others who feel that way as well, that favor should go away.

Gaile Gray: But how to get access?

Gaile Gray: There's nothing in the water? You've not seen the beautiful shark?!

Gaile Gray: Oh, goodness, please don't misuse the word "racism." If anything, it's nationalism or regionalism.:)

Gaile Gray: Let me see if James is back so I can harass... I mean ask him a question. BRB

Gaile Gray: I have it on good authority that we'll have some final decisions on HA soon

Gaile Gray: I'd say 1-2 weeks, but believe me, that's taking a guess.

Gaile Gray: I think the surveys are somewhat towards 8v8, but it's close.

Gaile Gray: Yes, we need a better means of trade. We know and agree with you.

Gaile Gray: Trading Guild Wars for real world money is against the User Agreement.

Gaile Gray: We have a large pack of hungry dogs to sic on those who engage in such practices.:)

Gaile Gray: Titles! Let me ask. James is at his desk!

Gaile Gray: BRB

Gaile Gray: Ok, straight from James Phirmey, Lead Designer.

Gaile Gray: Which means we can ALL yell at him if it doesn't come.:)

Gaile Gray: We will have word about the max titles AND about Hard Mode by end of week.

Gaile Gray: Well, more than _A_ word, several words. :D

Gaile Gray: I have not heard of an expanded option list for Guild Leaders, but I'd read a thread about that if there was one.

Gaile Gray: For instance, what other options should the Guild Leader have?

Gaile Gray: I just wrote about the titles. Scroll up, please.

Gaile Gray: Full alliance roster could consist of 1,000 names. You're serious?

Gaile Gray: Why, or where would you even put it?

Gaile Gray: Multiple tabs, thank you, I understand.

Gaile Gray: I was seriously wondering how to fit 1,000 names on the screen.

Gaile Gray: Alliance notice, good idea.

Gaile Gray: Co-leaders for guilds is difficult because some things need, I believe, to be tied to a single account.

Gaile Gray: I can pass it along, surely.

Gaile Gray: Oh goodness, you don't WANT that notice when your friends log on, trust me

Gaile Gray: It gets so spamrny, you see something eveyr 30 seconds, you end up disabling it.

Gaile Gray: There are no beta tests for America. The beta test is occurring in China at this time.

Gaile Gray: If you could enable that for a few friends, I see your point, that might be fun.

Gaile Gray: I had that, the "log in, log out" and it drove me nuts.:)

Gaile Gray: You can disable my chat by leaving the district.

Gaile Gray: * shrug* What can I say? ;P

Gaile Gray: I'd LOVE a dye storage option! Man o man!

Gaile Gray: Key storage, dye storage, heck, miniature storage... the storage wants are endless and I'm right there with you!

Gaile Gray: Not that I ever share that thought with the designers, no, no, not at all! *ahem*

Gaile Gray: The idea of cross-attribute elites is very interesting, but there are those who feel with a game with...

Gaile Gray: how many is it, 194,029.6 skills? ;) With a game with many skills, having cross-attribute elites would...

Gaile Gray: ...add even more complexity to the game.

Gaile Gray: Oh, hey, no. There is not charge for Guild Wars and we are not adding a charge. Goodness!

Gaile Gray: You're welcome.:)

Gaile Gray: I have a lot of chances to play. I was playing on Sunday, in fact. Well, until Europe had a connectivity issue and...

Gaile Gray:... I dutifully put my Ranger away to send emails to 400 people.:)

Gaile Gray: What can I say? They had a fix, it was great!

Gaile Gray: This girl isn't a player character. My other accounts, though... they are.:)

Gaile Gray: I agree with you, there are other things we can do to improve communication, you bet.

Gaile Gray: TY, Jessica.:)

Gaile Gray: It would be amuzing if all of Froggie's speculation about a certain small girl came true, eh?

Gaile Gray: amusing, too.;)

Gaile Gray: CE keys won't be sold, sorry.

Gaile Gray: There are no professions in the Chinese Alpha Test, to the best of my knowldege

Gaile Gray: We don't have an email address, but we DO read the forums every day

Gaile Gray: Sorry, I meant to say no NEW professions in China. :)

Gaile Gray: No, Utopia was working title, it's not a title for our game

Gaile Gray: No chests in UW?? NONE??

Gaile Gray: Cause I know they are randomized but honestly!

Gaile Gray: See that? They appear after doing quests, according to up there.:)

Gaile Gray: That's right, the zones have random spawning, and sometimes an area receives a sparce number of chests...

Gaile Gray:... and another has a large number.

Gaile Gray: It's intended, that they be random, so that people don't just go to the same spot, yes.

Gaile Gray: You can get news in PC Gamer of... something major, yes.:)

Gaile Gray: The whole company went to see 300 on Friday, eys.

Gaile Gray: Have you reported the issue of lag to Support? They can help, sometirnes, with regional issues and...

Gaile Gray:... with reports, they can spot problems internal to the servers, too.

Gaile Gray: So reporting is a really good thing to do.

Gaile Gray: Well, if they say it's you, I hate to say this, but likely it is.:(

Gaile Gray: We don't hesitate to admit when it's us, but oftentimes it's a backbone (external, Internet) issue

Gaile Gray: Let me see if I can wrestle a bit more news from James. BRB

Gaile Gray: Ok, I nabbed James again.

Gaile Gray: And he said that he would probably have something to share in a few weeks about the Mesmer assessments.

Gaile Gray: So it'll be a while, it’s basically taking a look at seeing if changes are needed.

Gaile Gray: Included in that is Ranger bow skill assessment, which is also being looked at long term.

Gaile Gray: So don't expect overnight changes. :)

Gaile Gray: We have NOT made an announcement, that article was in error.

Gaile Gray: Hmmm... zero tolerance in effect, I see.

Gaile Gray: I'd pay premium prices for Aura of Civility.:)

Gaile Gray: I don't have any word on Gwen today, sorry to say.

Gaile Gray: If PvP and PvE were incredibly similar, then the players wouldn't argue so.;)

Gaile Gray: Well, I should go back to making my list here. Anyone for a conga?

Gaile Gray: Ok, let me tuck away my turtle.:)

Gaile Gray: He slows me down.:)

Gaile Gray: 'Sok, those who don't care to join the Conga, you're welcome to not. It's fully optional.:)

Gaile Gray: Click me, or someone in line and then hit space bar.

Gaile Gray: Ok, going now.

Gaile Gray: I will be sure to share that. Nice of you to say.:)

Gaile Gray: And yes, I will pass along your ideas, and hopefully share more info soon.

Gaile Gray: Like... soon.:)

Gaile Gray: Buenas Noches.:)

Gaile Gray: Thanks for the visit, you guys.:)
