YesHealer's Covenant Healer's Covenant
Description claims: your healing Spells heal for 25% less Health,
Actual behaviour: your healing skills heal for 25% less Health,

The functionality has been changed. Healer's Covenant is no longer triggered by Signet of Rejuvenation. -Kim Chase 18:06, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

YesPower Block Power Block
Description claims: The interrupted skill and all skills ...
Actual behaviour: The targeted skill and all skills...
(disables on prevented interrupts too)

Yeah, this one is really strange. It interrupts first, and the interrupt can be prevented. Then it disables all skills in the target spell/chant's attribute line, including the target, effectively interrupting it. Last I heard the functionality was not expected to change, but we were hoping to make the description more clear. Personally I'd like to see the interrupt taken out entirely so that it works a bit more like a limited Blackout. Anyway, hopefully this can come to a happy conclusion. Thanks. -Kim Chase 19:17, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
The text has been rewritten. -Kim Chase 18:09, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

YesMantra of Concentration Mantra of Concentration
Description claims: The next time you would be interrupted while using a skill...
Actual behaviour: The next time an interrupt skill targets you (ends even when not using a skill)

Oh, well I'm not seeing Mantra of Concentration removed anytime an interrupt is used on you, even if you aren't interrupted. I am seeing it removed if, for example, you are attacking and someone uses Signet of Clumsiness to interrupt your standard attack. Is that what you mean? You are right that the "while using a skill" isn't accurate, but I want to make sure I understand this report correctly before I request the text change. -Kim Chase 18:48, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
I'm not sure what the original poster intended, but is this removed when targeted with, say, a spell only interrupt while attacking? Backsword 19:11, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
It ends on any interrupt, even if you're not using a skill. (although you have to be interrupted doing an action so it should say ("The next time you would be interrupted performing an action") since it isn't removed when you aren't doing anything. DarkNecrid 19:43, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
The 'while using a skill' portion of the description has been removed. -Kim Chase 18:12, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

YesHeart of Shadow Heart of Shadow
Description claims: Shadow Step to a random nearby location.
Actual behaviour: Shadow Step to a random location within earshot.

The text has been rewritten to be more accurate. -63.126.183.110 20:48, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

YesScorpion Wire Scorpion Wire
Description claims: next time you and target foe are more than 100' apart, you teleport to that foe
Actual behaviour: next time you and target foe are more than 100' apart, you shadow step to that foe

The text has been updated to 'shadow step.' -63.126.183.110 20:48, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

YesReturn Return
Description claims: Teleport to target ally's location.
Actual behaviour: Shadow Step to target ally's location.

YesTryptophan Signet Tryptophan Signet
Description claims: target touched foe and all adjacent foes move...
Actual behaviour: target touched foe moves...

I put in a report for you guys that this isn't affecting adjacent targets. -Kim Chase 17:58, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
Fixed grammar because other skills have severe grammar hindrances. -- Armond WarbladeUser Armond sig image.png{{Bacon}} 14:32, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
This is fixed. -63.126.183.110 20:44, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

YesInner Fire Inner Fire
Description claims: You gain 30 Health every second.
Actual behaviour: You are healed for 30 Health every second.

Apparently it's a long, slow process for destroyers to build up their inner fire properly. We're looking into changing this to reflect the description. Thanks! -Kim Chase 17:58, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
This is fixed. -63.126.183.110 20:44, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

YesHealing Salve Healing Salve
Description claims: It restores 300 Energy
Actual behaviour: It restores 300 Health

True, this is wrong... but how the heck are you guys seeing this? -Kim Chase 18:15, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
You can use certain programs to go through the gw.dat, find skills, and (client-side only) put them on your bar. It's how all the skills at historical content were fleshed out. ~Seef II <User talk:Seef_II|۞> 04:15, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
Well, this text was updated. However, reports on text that can't be seen through legitimate play aren't really needed. -63.126.183.110 20:44, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

YesObelisk Lightning Obelisk Lightning
Description claims: Target foe is interrupted and struck for 50 lightning damage.
Actual behaviour: Target foe is struck for 50 lightning damage.

I reported this one for you guys. Thank you! -Kim Chase 18:15, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
This has been fixed. -63.126.183.110 20:44, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

YesStolen Speed Stolen Speed
Description claims: Target foe has +25% spell casting time.
Actual behaviour: Target foe has +25% spell casting and signet activation time.

This has been reported, thank you. -Kim Chase 18:47, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

YesSignet of Creation Signet of Creation
Description claims: Signet. (30 seconds.) Affects spirits and all undead servants within earshot...
Actual behaviour: Signet. (30 seconds.) Affects spirits and all nearby undead servants...

You're right, the range is inconsistent in text and functionality. I think it's area range, though. Thank you for the report. -Kim Chase 19:36, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

YesSpear of Fury Spear of Fury
Description claims: if you hit a foe with a condition.
Actual behaviour: if you hit a foe that had a condition when attacked.

I'm not getting adrenaline gain from Spear of Fury if the spear is obstructed, or if the target kites or blocks. what kind of non-hit attacks are you guys seeing the adrenaline gain on? -Kim Chase 21:14, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
Is it that they are refering to the spear beeing launched when the target is under the effect of a condition but hit right after the condition have been removed ? Or a big network latency that gave them the impression that they launched their attack while target was not yet under the effect of a condition ? Maybe more precision from the user who reported this would be helpfull... Yseron - 90.9.255.184 21:22, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
I believe this was fixed awhile ago, however there is an issue with it: For some reason any chant etc that applies a condition (ie: Anthem of Flame) won't give you energy if you go Anthem of Flame -> Spear of Fury, BUT Anthem of Weariness or whatever, DOES. Even though they are the exact same exact for the Condition. DarkNecrid 22:12, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
Nope, not fixed. Adrenaline gain on: block, miss (e.g., from blind). No adrenal gain on dodge or obstructed. Same bug as Cruel Spear before it got fixed. ~Seef II <|۞> 08:08, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
Thank you for clarifying, Seef II. I've already reported the Anthem inconsistency as well, DarkNecrid. -Kim Chase 20:09, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

Yes"There's Nothing to Fear!" "There's Nothing to Fear!"
Description claims: Reduces damage by 20...35% for allies in earshot.
Actual behaviour: Reduces damage by 20...35% for party members in earshot.

I have requested that the concise description be changed to 'party members' to be consistent with the standard description and functionality. Thank you. -Kim Chase 22:06, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

YesWatchful Intervention Watchful Intervention
Description claims: For 60 seconds, the next time target ally's Health drops below 25%,...
Actual behaviour: For 60 seconds, the next time damage drops target ally's Health below 25%,...

Yeah, this is a lot more clear on Failthful Intervention's description. I've requested this change for you. Thank you! -Kim Chase 22:53, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

YesSneak Attack Sneak Attack
Description claims: Lead Attack.
Actual behaviour: Melee Attack.

Yeah, it really should be labeled a melee attack so it's easy to see that you can use any melee weapon. Also, this should be working with up to three targets in front of you when you wield a scythe, but right now it's only working on the target, so I reported that as well. Thank you. -Kim Chase 17:58, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
Sneak Attack now works correctly with a scythe. The original issue turned out to be more than a simple text change, and that fix is still in the works. -63.126.183.110 20:44, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
I could swear that Sneak Attack was actually typed correctly as a Melee Attack around GW:EN's release time. Wonder what happened. ~Seef II <|۞> 07:50, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

YesClub of a Thousand Bears Club of a Thousand Bears
Description claims: Melee Attack
Actual behaviour: Scythe hits one target

Now that Sneak Attack has been fixed (except for the text) maybe you could apply it to Club of a Thousand Bears too. Currently, when used with a scythe, only the targeted foe is struck, unlike with other Melee Attack skills. The knockdown effect is, however, functioning as per the description: if target foe is non human, it is KD'ed, which means you don't have to hit. Not sure about the intended behavior with scythes on that part, but dealing damage to the target only is definitely inconsistent. ~Seef II <|۞> 07:49, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
This has been reported, thank you. -Kim Chase 22:12, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

YesSearing Flames Searing Flames
Description claims: Target foe and all nearby foes are struck with Searing Flames
Actual behaviour: If target foe dies while casting this skill, the spell will miss and nearby foes to that target will not be struck by Searing Flames (as contrary to other AoE spells like Rodgort's Invocation)

YesBurning Shield Burning Shield
Description claims: Skill
Actual behaviour: This skill cannot be activated in the middle of another action and has a slight aftercast delay.
(compare Shield Bash, doesn't suffer like Burning Shield)

This has been reported. Thank you! -Kim Chase 21:07, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

YesSnow Storm Snow Storm
Description claims: Nothing
Actual behaviour: Cast doesn't complete if target dies

As noted on the skill page itself. Simple consistency error ~Seef II <|۞> 10:17, 21 November 2008 (UTC)
This has been reported. Thank you. -Kim Chase 22:10, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

YesPower Leech Power Leech

The December 11th update notes state that the cost was reduced to 5 Energy, but it still has its' old energy cost. -- User Gordon Ecker sig.png Gordon Ecker (talk) 06:50, 12 December 2008 (UTC)

NoIron Palm Iron Palm
Description claims: Counts as a Lead Attack
Actual behaviour: Counts as a Lead Attack for the purpose of skills requiring one

For Iron Palm as well as Palm Strike and Mantis Touch, this is not really a bug so much as a misunderstanding of intent. Iron Palm is not a Lead Attack, but will count as a Lead Attack for the sake of skills that require one. This is what is meant by the phrase "counts as a Lead Attack." Izzy put it to me this way. If something "counts as an apple" it doesn't have to be an apple. -Kim Chase 20:10, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
I apologize. Everyone knows this isn't a bug. These skills are only here because someone who wanted to be childish was being a lawyer about why dancing daggers works the way it should when it really doesn't. ~Shard User Shard Sig Icon.png 05:20, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

NoPalm Strike Palm Strike
Description claims: Counts as an Offhand Attack
Actual behaviour: Counts as a Offhand Attack for the purpose of skills requiring one

NoMantis Touch Mantis Touch
Description claims: Counts as an Offhand Attack
Actual behaviour: Counts as a Offhand Attack for the purpose of skills requiring one

NoSoul Bind Soul Bind
Description claims: every time target foe is healed
Actual behaviour: every time target foe is healed by a non-aoe skill

NoVampiric Swarm Vampiric Swarm
Description claims: slow projectile:
Actual behaviour: Not a projectile.

This was a design decision for the concise version of the skill description in order to convey that the spell has a delayed effect that must reach the target before damage occurs. Vampiric Swarm and Deathly Swarm are both labeled this way. The designation "slow projectile" can be considered a projectile that cannot miss. -Kim Chase 00:48, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
I believe the concern was that if the description claims something is a projectile, players will think it is a projectile. Backsword 18:56, 13 November 2008 (UTC)

NoScourge Healing Scourge Healing
Description claims: every time target foe is healed
Actual behaviour: every time target foe is healed by a non-aoe skill

For this type of skill the negative effect will be triggered only on a targeted heal. The wording doesn't separate it out, but you could think of "target foe" as being both your target and the opponent's heal target. The same is true for Soul Bind. -Kim Chase 00:41, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

NoSpirit Bond Spirit Bond
Description claims: Whenever target ally takes more than 60 damage from...
Actual behaviour: It triggers on anything that is determined to deal more than 60 damage before other effects.

To clarify: This ignores effects that change damage. A popular example is with Protective Spirit and Shield of Absorption. Spirit Bond will trigger, even if the other 2 are reducing the damage to zero. Zero is not greater than 60 and should not trigger Spirit Bond.
If you have Protective Spirit and Spirit Bond on the same target and they have an incoming single attack that intends to go over 60 damage they will get the heal. So that happens first. Then, before the damage is calculated, Protective Spirit takes effect and reduces the damage. In some situations this is really awesome, since the target is potentially getting healed for way more damage than they took with that attack, so it if they were already low on health they'll be much better off at the end. Anyway, the functionality of this is not going to change. -Kim Chase 18:30, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
It doesn't have to, but can you please change the skill description so that it doesn't lie? ~Shard User Shard Sig Icon.png 05:11, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

NoJuggernaut Toss Juggernaut Toss
Description claims: Target touched foe
Actual behaviour: Target foe

As far as I can tell, this really is a touch-range skill. Personally, I've never seen a Juggernaut use this outside their melee attack range. I can see that this has been documented by several people. To anyone who has seen this in person, could you try to answer these questions? Where do you see this happening? Is it only in Fort Aspenwood, or in their PvE appearances as well? Is there anything unusual happening when you see this? Have you ever seen their basic attack executed at this distance? -Kim Chase 18:15, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
Definitely in Fort Aspenwood, but not recently - I've been playing on Kurzick, so I don't really pay that much attention. Haven't paid attention in PvE either. Their regular attack is always in melee. ~Seef II <Seef_II|۞> 04:15, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
Tested using the quest Attack the Kurzicks! - couldn't get ranged KD to work. Unless the Juggernaut in FA is a different entity, I've removed the bug note from the skill page. ~Seef II <User talk:Seef_II|۞> 04:59, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
There are a few different versions of the Juggernauts, but the Juggernaut Toss skill should have the same functionality for all of them. Right now I'm assuming that this is an issue with the display of the monster's location for the player being out of sync with his location on the server, which could happen with any type of skill or movement. Please let us know if anyone sees a consistent range issue with Juggernaut Toss in the future. Thanks, Seef II. -Kim Chase 19:26, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
Maybe what they meant was it could go through "Can't Touch This!"? --TalkRiddle 23:03, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

NoVampiric Swarm Vampiric Swarm

NoShadow Form Shadow Form Shadow Form is messed up is was 32 secs! --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:98.167.163.230 (talk).

Yes"It's just a flesh wound." "It's just a flesh wound."
Description claims: ...That ally moves 25% faster (1...8...10 second(s)) if a condition was removed. Cannot self-target.
Actual behaviour: ...That ally moves 25% faster (1...8...10 second(s)). Cannot self-target.

YesPlague Signet Plague Signet
Description claims: Lengthens sent conditions by 100...180...200%
Actual behaviour: Lengthens sent conditions by 0...80...100%

This issue looks like it has been fixed after being reported here: [1]. The skill description no longer says the duration is lengthened, only that it is transferred. Thanks for the report! Leah Rivera 21:32, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

YesVigorous Spirit Vigorous Spirit
Description claims: Heals target ally when they attack
Actual behaviour: Heals target ally when their attack is not obstructed

Thanks for the report, this issue looks like it has been fixed after being reported here: [2] Leah Rivera 21:40, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
