Bows you still need:[edit]
I looked at your list and thought wow alot of bows but how many do you still need so I thought make I list for you.(ps. There are some recurve bows without the bow name in the list, I changed this for you there also is a bow which doesn't exist.
Koren’s longbow doesn’t exist does this need to be Koren’s Hornbow? At the moment you have 54 gold bows, 53 green bows + because you got a normal golden wintergreen bow but this is a greeny. I changed that too. So in total you have 107+1(wintergreen) bows out of 159total ingame bows.
So you still need 51 bows. There are also some bows you dont have but they are only getable as blue one's and you got the 20golden bows from the bonus mission pack who are only costumized tradeable.
If I count the total bows+ those blue one's and the BMP one's you get, 159+22+20=201 in total, and you have 108 of them at the moment:
Golds:
|
Greens:
|
Blue only's:
|
BMP costumized only goldies:

I hope I helped you a bit with it which you still need and which you don't:), you can at this list to the frontpage if you like. Also check that Koren's Longbow because it doesn't exist I goes it is the Koren's Hornbow, if so you can remove it from my list. Greetings Death Sligher 16:30, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
- This is incredibly helpful, DS. I'm going to take a look at the questions you've posed and see how I can incorporate this. I will also try to carve out time to go through all my storage girls to see if I happen to have a bow or two that I have not listed. I will be happy to have this as a point of reference. It's a very helpful tool to have, and thanks for putting it together! -- Gaile 04:53, 5 November 2009 (UTC)
Gaile I have the following Greens Deldrimor Short Benwah's Recurve Koren's Horn pm me in game Spike Firemane so I can give u the bows

- This is quite the fun project. I'm currently pulling up all my storage girls and checking to see what I have that I've just forgotten to update. I will use strikethrough for now, so that I can update the main page. -- Gaile 22:04, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
- Spike -- I added you to my friend's list. I see you're not online just now, but I will do my darnedest to remember to come on at different hours to meet with you. It's very kind of you to offer those bows! :) -- Gaile 22:04, 8 November 2009 (UTC)

- Hi Spike. Thanks a lot for your kindness. And congrats on your title track -- it's very impressive that you've gotten so far in just around one year. Let me know when you hit GWAMM. :) -- Gaile 19:56, 12 November 2009 (UTC)

(Reset indent) Gaile, I have a spare oldschool gold q10 <+15 stance> Zealous Jade Longbow that you're more than welcome to have. As a longtime ranger, I also have a soft spot for bows, and I love that you're collecting all of them. My absolute single most treasured GW possession is my q9 Dryad Bow. That is one of the most amazing bow skins I've seen, not only in GW, but in any game I've ever played.AnClar 04:14, 14 November 2009 (UTC)
- Hi AnClar. Regular Jade, not Longbow? Yes, I do need that and would love to have it IF it is an extra. :) (The Dryad bow was, as I recall, a winner in one of the contests a few years ago -- I agree, it's just gorgeous!) -- Gaile 21:52, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
- I'm not sure what you mean by "regular" Gaile. I thought the Jade Bow only came in the longbow variety. If not then after over 4 years playing GW, I learned something new. :-). What I have is a Jade Longbow, and it is a spare so if it is the one you need, it's yours. If not, please excuse this grasshopper's humble ignorance. AnClar 04:48, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

- Psst, I have this Naga Shortbow that I have as a Wintersday gift for you. Sometime today come find me and it's all yours. ^^ scratch that, you just got it! Katherinezoltin 08:26, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
- Gaile Firemane here do u have the Darksteel Long Bow from EotN prerelease? Target is selling the prerelase stuff at $.99!

i have the forked hornbow (gold) you can have, it doesnt seem to be listed tho - ronnie romance (ritualist) 11:59am 2nd january 2010
(Reset indent) Oh man, I have been awful about keeping this up to date. I just poked through a bunch of inventories and did my best to update the list yet again. Now, the list of things I have is here. I mean, I think it's up to date. :)
The list of bow I need is above, and again, I'm trying to update but I have a feeling I need to do another check soon.
The kind offers of bows and updates in this thread warm my heart. Let me try to respond:
- @AnClar -- I confess I'm confused about the Jade Bow and Jade Longbow issue. Both are listed on the wiki, in the Jade weapons category. So I assumed there were both. But I sort of suspect they are one and the same. I do have a Jade Longbow, but thank you kindly for the offer. (Can anyone confirm there's a Jade Bow as well?)
- @Katherinezoltin, DeathSligher, Spike -- Thanks again. :)
- @Firemane -- Is the Darksteel Longbow a gold or green? I confess I can't remember. Wiki says it cannot be stored in the Xunlai Chest -- that's a point of trivia I had completely forgotten. I do not have one.
- @Koreena -- Yes, I still need Inallay’s Hornbow.
Thanks, all! -- Gaile 06:22, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

Diablo 3[edit]
Hi Gaile! Been a few years since I last said hello. :) Are you looking forward to Diablo 3 being released? Do you think you'll play as much as you did the previous versions? It's getting closer and closer! I cant wait :D - Bex 02:17, 15 April 2012 (UTC)
- Hi Bexor. So far, I've resisted the siren's call of D3. I had the box in my hands at the store, and I was going to get it, then I thought "No, I want the CE" and by that time, the CE was sold out. So I'm sort of in stasis -- I don't own the game, but I'm watching others play and it does look like fun. :) -- Gaile 21:49, 19 June 2012 (UTC)
Guild Wars Question[edit]
Hi Gaile! How are you doing on this fine day? I'm really enjoying this game, working on Canthan Cartographer, and I have a question. Why is it a requirement to explore 2 PvP areas in order to get 100% Canthan Exploration? I don't understand why you would force us to go PvP just to explore it, it makes it harder on us, because alot of us aren't interested in PvP.
- A cartographer's job is to map the land. Deciding he doesn't like a chunk of land doesn't mean he can pretend his job is done before the mapping is. -Auron 20:03, 16 August 2014 (UTC)
- Those dont count against the title, but they do help in terms of marginal error. God Of Fissures recently updated Cartography Made Easy that shows where/how to get all the Factions nooks without needing to set foot in PvP. --Falconeye (talk) 17:17, 17 August 2014 (UTC)
- As I've recently done this myself, I can confirm that you can attain well over 100.0% Canthan cartographer without ever setting foot in both JQ and FA. In fact, you don't even need to reach the end of Winds of Change for the Shing Jea Monastery arena area to hit 100.0%. So while the confusion is understandable, it's fortunately based on an incorrect assumption. :) - Infinite - talk 13:17, 19 August 2014 (UTC)

Your second account name[edit]
There's a constant edit war on Gaile Gray over whether to display your alleged second Guild Wars account name. It has been said that you would like it to remain private. Whether it's actually your second account name or not, would you like that information to be displayed? --Silver Edge 01:40, 25 October 2014 (UTC)
Page Updated - 26 September 2018[edit]
A player contacted me in GW2 the other night, asking for help with a support issue. I explained that I was not involved with support, and invited them to submit a support ticket. After some discussion and confusion on both our parts, I learned that they believed I was still ArenaNet Support Liaison, a role that I left in 2014, because they looked me up on this wiki. (Why they were in GW2 and looked me up on the GW wiki is a question whose answer I don't know. ;) ) Anyway, as a result of that conversation I substantially revised my entire user page today, so that it won't confuse people in the future, and so it represents me at the current time. I'll try to remember to keep up on that in the future, so I don't have that deja vu / time warp feeling again. -- Gaile 19:43, 26 September 2018 (UTC)
Page Updated - 28 February 2019[edit]
I want to thank everyone for their support during the time I was with ArenaNet. Those years were golden to me, and I will always treasure that time in my life and value the many friendships I was fortunate to make. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for so many incredible, wonderful, heart-warming memories. -- Gaile 23:58, 28 February 2019 (UTC)
- Though it is incredibly upsetting to watch the events that transpired unfold further, I wish the best for yourself and all former colleagues and friends that you had at Arenanet. May you all find equally or even more fulfilling projects moving forward and both collectively and individually prove that letting such a talented team go like this is a disservice to the part of the gaming industry where the loves for world building and storytelling could collide into the gem that was and is Guild Wars, and its widely popular sequel. Never forget that it came from you lot and no amount of setbacks can ever discredit it.
- "Indeed, it was their unfailing vigilance, their Great Northern Wall, and the blood they shed each year to defend it that had protected not only Ascalon, but also Kryta and Orr through the ages."
- Goodbye and good luck, Gaile. Goodbye and good luck, legends. Infinite - talk 01:03, 1 March 2019 (UTC)
- I just wanted to thank you for the friendly way you've always answered to us all. You were a huge part of this game, its voice. You shared the spirit of Arena Net to the community and this community would not be the same, open minded as we (often) are without somebody like you. I'm glad I've been part of this journey. And I really, really wish you the best for years and years to come! You deserve it, truly, madly, deeply. ^^ I hope you've heard about the GW2 Lion Arch gathering last 28th Feb. I was involved in and you must know the idea came from you (again). The Farewell to You and the Frog here in GW back in 2008 made me want something similar. Now we plan to gather again for Friendship Month every year. That's what your behaviour teached us all i guess. So long Dear Gaile, I'll miss you. PS: My minis collection is all because of you! Just finished the Birthdays collection few months ago. -- MornJack File:User-mj icosign.png 15:01, 2 March 2019 (UTC)
- In return, I'd like to thank you for all the love shared with the members of both Guild Wars communities for even difficult-to-recount-outright for how many exact years. This service has been invaluable for what the players expected and ArenaNet as the studio did, without which, it wouldn't be as consolidated together, bound with the fans, attractive-in-creations and prosperous in financial cause altogether as it nowadays is. It will always be a pleasure to hear a suite of great news from you. Dmitri Fatkin (talk) 00:03, 13 March 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks for the kind words and generous sentiments. What you have written means so much to me, and while I'm sad to have stepped away, I did so with the best of intentions and I know it was helpful to ArenaNet for me to have done so. More importantly, I know the community is in good hands with ardent and kind members like you, Infinite, MornJack, and Dmitri. -- Gaile 01:33, 28 March 2019 (UTC)
