Festival quest

From Guild Wars Wiki

A festival quest is given during its respective special event, and may have a reward related to that event. Mostly, these quests have taken place during recurring events, such as Canthan New Year, Halloween, Wintersday, and the Dragon Festival; however, there have also been some in non-recurring events such as the Day of the Tengu. Festival quests can only be completed during their respective special event.

Festival quests are listed under their own heading in the Quest Log.

Notes[edit]

Bug Bug.A character will lose the opportunity to take any completed festival quests the next time the associated special event occurs again if that character does not log in after that special event has ended and before the next time that special event occurs again.[1] E.g. if a character completed two Canthan New Year quests during Canthan New Year 2013 and logged out while the event was still active, that character will not be able to acquire those two Canthan New Year quests completed in 2013 in future Canthan New Year events unless that character logs in at least once while Canthan New Year is not active.

An account will lose the opportunity to take any completed once-per-account festival quests (e.g. each Wayfarer's Reverie quest and Take My Sister, Please) the next time the associated special event occurs again if no characters on that account logs in after that special event has ended and before the next time that special event occurs again.[2]

Trivia[edit]

  • Prior to Halloween 2010, all festival quests were not removed from the Quest Log at the end of the respective special event. This allowed The Waiting Game to be completed while its associated special event was not active.
